Always reliable tasty pizza. The inside is nice with a cool little bar and Tvs. To protect for sun glare the windows are darkened which always looks like they're closed when they're not. They should put a sign on the street that says they're open! Highly recommended. read more

I've been coming here for years and I've never had a bad meal but this morning I had the BLT club meal with curly fries and it was splendid. I had made a door dash order and ordered 1 pasta with sauce. When it arrived the sauce was leaking out of the. Ah an all over the ground. When I did open the pasta the sauce was over flowing. I had asked for light sauce because I have a medical condition. I said this on my " special instructions " you can see by the photo provided that this is not light sauce. I called the restaurant to report the issue an the manager told me that it was Door dashes issue as they never received money for the order yet they still made the food. When i told him that made absolutely no sense they told me it wasn't there fault even tho they made the food. After speaking with the manager for a second time i was told the delivery would be over an hour wait an he did not want to drive to Northampton to replace the meal. Ordered two large pizzas to go. One was the house special and the other was a chicken and broccoli. The chicken and broccoli pizza had a red sauce base and it somewhat threw me off. I had expected garlic and oil base. It was very good. Also tasty was the house special. It was loaded with hamburger, sausage, peppers, onions, pepperoni and a generous amount of cheese. This is the second time that I have ordered a pizza from here. Both times it has been excellent. I asked for the crust to be well done and it was nicely done. Nice and crispy. Plenty of fresh veggies on it. I wish I lived closer so I could be a regular customer. So from now on this is the place that I will be eating at when I'm in the area. Everything seemed like it was frozen and heated up when I ordered and the salad was just some plain old clear iceberg lettuce and was you know, blah. The pizza had a weird crust, ok sauce, some burned cheese and was you know, blah. The garlic bread was squishy, flavorless and you know, blah. I ordered a hot pastrami with cheese, lettuce, banana peppers and a small eggplant grinder. My grinder came cold, not cut , what was of the meat was burnt and black and so fatty was not edible and jalapeño peppers! Big difference. Now this is a bar, a dive off an awkward intersection. Staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable in the dirty, want to be tavern. Small menu, nothing unique to offer but they do accommodate. I ordered a cheese pizza and a side of onion rings. I received heavy battered, lightly fried rings just out of the frozen bag. I absolutely love several of the different appetizers they make here. The plain chicken tenders are really good, the barbecue sauce that comes on the side is exceptional. The curly fries are perfectly seasoned, and always consistent. My favorite is the Mozzarella sticks though, the batter is very tasty and the cheese is always a perfect texture. I've been eating food from Papa George ever since I was a kid in the late 2000s, and the food is just like I remember it. I will say that the pizza could use a little work, it tends to be a little inconsistent. Sometimes there's too much cheese or the dough might be undercooked in some parts, but I think that's because it's a thicker crust. It's not bad, but it could use some TLC. Food is ok. Our business orders delivery just about every day. I gave one star because I cancelled an order of a BLT Club. The owner got mad and told me never to call there again. Not a problem, there are many other options. He treats customers and staff terribly. We have been ordering from there for over 2 years now and this is the first time an order was cancelled! He may have been having a bad day, however, you don't tell a customer who has been working with you for a long time to never call again due to one cancellation! My friend and I eat here every Monday for their luncheon special. (The specials are available during weekdays.) The portion is dinner-sized not tiny appetizer size and the food is delicious.
