    cheesy potatoes
    Clarissa H.

I'm from western mass, and I feel like I've tried every restaurant in our area. This was a little bit further being in Easthampton, but totally worth the drive. This whole old mill park is being redone and it's adorable! Definitely worth a visit to check out the area. One tip for finding the place - don't park in the front parking lot on pleasant street. Instead, take the alley where the big keystone sign is, then turn right and park in the back lot. This is where Daily Operation and all of the breweries are. The food here was incredible! They had sooo many vegan and veggie options but they also had meat options. The best of both worlds! I don't think they serve cocktails but they had wine, cider, and beer, and a few fun non-alcoholic options, too. You order your food inside at the counter and they bring it out to you. All the food came out pretty quick. There's a small patio, and we were able to get a table outside for four on a Friday night. There was even a birds nest right on the patio and we watched the mom feed the babies! We split the cheesy jalepeno potatoes. It was a good app - the jalepeno sauce wasn't spicy though. Everyone loved their food (burgers). I ordered the vegan maple bbq tempeh sandwich. I genuinely think this might be the best vegan sandwich I've ever had! The sweet miso glaze on the tempeh was amazing, the fried onions were SO thin and crispy, and the cole slaw was the perfect combo to top it off. And the maple pie!!! We ended up taking home 3 slices to go because it was that good (although not vegan, sadly). I highly recommend checking this place out!!

    Talk about OLD school bathroom!

Power tip: A hip vibe. The nice lady in front made good recommendations. The blackened fish sandwich and the beef shank soup were tasty. The maple pie was good too, although my girl thought it was a bit too sweet. Although not directly connected to the restaurant, the bathroom associated with it was retro. VERY retro :D

Cheeseburger and sweet potato fritters with mint chutney

Went recently with a friend and everything was delicious. I had a cheeseburger with a tasty sauce and she had a rice bowl that was generous and filling. The staff were very friendly and professional, and accommodating to my friend's dietary needs. The sweet potato fritters were exceptional!

Super cute dining area and open kitchen

Found this place with rave reviews here on Yelp, and we are so happy we tried it. Really friendly staff at the counter when you order to help talk about the menu. I wanted like five different things on the menu but I decided on the blackened fish sandwich and my son had their signature burger and a really tasty blood orange lemonade. Both of us devoured the food and especially liked the sauces used on our sandwiches. The fish was fresh, flaky, and well seasoned but not at all overpowering. I wish I would've tried the black bottom pie, definitely will try that when we return next time. It was dark when we headed out for dinner and we are not familiar with the area, so it was a little bit hard for me to find it at night in a large industrial building near one end - the bright white sign with the Bear on it helped! Inside had a great vibe with not-too-loud music. It was busy but not too crowded and we sat at a cute high top near the door. The food did take a little bit longer to arrive, but I think we were there right at the dinner rush and some folks were coming in to pick up take out orders, and it was definitely worth the wait!

Most excellent. Difficult to make decisions as it's such a diverse menu. Tried the pork dumplings and O G Cabbage salad to start. Andouille hot dog was divine and the Veg squash curry with chickpeas was very nice!

Little dark in the dining room, but with an interesting atmosphere.

This time I got the braised pork and polenta and this one is on me because I don't usually like braised pork or polenta too much but it sounded interesting and I wanted to try it. It wasn't my favorite but that's more about my taste than anything. The peach crumble was absolutely spectacular and I'm glad they learned from last time and made the ice cream sweeter (the creme fraiche on the dessert I got last time was not sweet whatsoever). Can't wait to see what's on the menu next time I'm here! 7/3/25: God, I love it here! This year, I got two mocktails, the ruby Tuesday and orange lovely, because I couldn't choose and loved both of them! Then I started with the pickled carrots which were absolutely delectable. The turmeric honey and chili oil sauce was absolutely PERFECT. If I wasn't worried about social standing I would've licked that plate clean. I never thought I would enjoy eating carrots so much. Then came my queso mac and cheese that I took myself I would only eat half of so I could take the rest home and not hurt my stomach but I couldn't help myself. This was one of the best mac and cheese I've ever ordered at a restaurant. It was made with cotijia, had tortilla chips and cilantro in it with onion on top to pull it all together. Chef's kiss. I had to get dessert since I only come once a year and this orange almond cake was SOOOO GOOOD ughhhh I wish this restaurant was in Westchester I'm an avid nuts-in-dessert hater and this cake had me eating spoonfuls of almonds. I think they converted me. It was so moist and sticky and beautiful and the almonds were perfectly toasted and crispy without being like chewing on rocks. I am obsessed. 10/11/25: Back at my favorite restaurant! Got to have some new variations of the great things I loved in the past: fire roasted peppers (this time with ricotta!) and pickled carrots with turnips. I also got the orange lovely again because it was favorite of the two I got last time. So yummy still! I also got the general tso cauliflower and it was so good but also spicy!! Now this butter braised tomato soup was absolutely fantastic. Best tomato soup I've ever had. And the plum galette was perfection. I really have no notes because as I keep saying, everything I ever get from here is absolutely fantastic.

Their French onion soup is always a winner, as well. I think the atmosphere is pretty cozy, and there's always a game on if you're into that sort of thing. I'm not the sort of person who drinks martinis that taste like cookies but that's super fun for some people, and I appreciate the diversity of choices that appeal to a wide range of people and their particular moments in life. I had a cocktail made with grapefruit juice that actually tasted identifiably like fresh grapefruit juice. The service was kind, attentive, pleasant and professional. The ambience was casual and easy going, and the place was clean and welcoming. So it is regrettable that having just discovered this perfectly nice place I will never set foot in there again.
