Great food and great service! My daughter and I came here for her tennis tournament and we found this place based on Yelp reviews. It is traditional and has a countryside style feeling and scenery and has amazing food.

Stables is a diner-like restaurant. The food is pretty good, I had a Belgian waffle, and my brother got French toast. I was pretty good, I just wished the waffle had more flavor, same thing goes for the French toast. They offer at every table a holder for tea packs. They had good choices including Apple cinnamon tea. The staff here is very nice, and get your order right. Parking here on the weekend in the morning is a pretty hard task, with almost every spot filled. The ambience inside is just like their slogan, "Country Cooking". They play old country music and gives off a diner feel with the bar area with seating in spinning chairs. Overall a very good experience, recommend coming here if you're in the area.

This is a very cute breakfast spot, tucked behind a huge parking lot! The waitresses were very nice and relaxed - our table was on the short side of the counter, and she took our order from over the counter wall divider. (Work smarter!) Even as they got close to closing, they didn't force us out (although we did get out the door before they closed). The best part was the food though - amazing hollandaise over corned beef and corn bread! I cannot recommend this enough, it was a smooth sauce and the flavors went well together.

Looking for a quick bite? Check Friendly to your wallet? Check Parking? Check Attentive staff? Check Good value, fast and quick. Entire restaurant looks full of locals, that is how you know you got a good dive restaurant. Food is fresh because of the turnover with so many customers. Many versions of breakfast classics. I came for breakfast, but they also have a lunch menu. My plate of three eggs, toast, coffee, hash, sausage and bacon was just under ten dollars. An excellent value.

The exterior captures the New England charm you'd expect. Parking was easy, on-street, and signage easily led us from the entrance of the inn to the restaurant. We were seated in the bar area where you could hear the bartender making conversation with everyone who sat there, while simultaneously making drinks for servers to run to their tables. Both of us felt like having steak, so when our menus were presented, we went straight for it! My nephew had the steak frites, which also came with green beans, and I had the filet mignon, accompanied by mashed potatoes and green beans. The bread basket was generous and the fresh whipped butter divine. Both steaks were cooked as ordered and the quality exceeded the pricepoint for our meals. For dessert, my nephew ordered ice cream and I opted for the affogato. Generous portions for both. Overall, this is a place to try either when looking for an evening out, a special occasion, or just because you feel like to enjoying the comfort of a New England Inn with the culinary options of city chef. Definitely recommend!

Surprisingly, we wouldn't have actually needed the reservation; the place was pretty quiet for a Saturday night. Though, the college students are all gone for summer so that might play a part in it. Nonetheless. The food was DELICIOUS. The drinks were FABULOUS. We each had a few drinks and everyone seemed to enjoy what they had. I ordered the Don't Text Your Ex and that was so yummy. I loved the dragonfruit dusting on top. Our server, Scotty, kept us fed and hydrated all night. We started with 16 oysters, tried 4 different kinds, of all sizes. I wish I remembered which we did but they were all very good. Next came the calamari with hot honey. That was eaten up pretty quickly as well! Highly recommend. Entree wise, I ordered the Seared Scallops for myself, and the other party goers had the Lobster Roll (which comes hot, not cold), the Seared Tuna, and the Casarecce Vongole. Everyone was part of the clean plate club that night. All the dishes were so good I know I keep repeating myself! The bill can get pretty pricey if you're not paying attention. We will definitely be going back!

I'm a vegetarian, and although a couple dishes had the option to swap the seafood for tofu, veggie options were lacking. The sesame cauliflower was very good as an app! I had wanted to try the burnt end mushrooms but they were no longer on the menu. Service was incredibly slow. I know the waitress was hustling and it's not her fault, but I'm not sure why it took 45 minutes for our entrees to come out. She kept apologizing and saying it would be out soon but we were there for a full 90 minutes before we got our entrees which was weird. I ordered the harvest bowl with tofu and it was fine. It was a big portion size, great variety of veggies, and the pesto was good. But there wasn't enough pesto for the whole dish and without the pesto, nothing else was seasoned at all. It was so bland. The tofu was just big chunks of lightly seared plain tofu. I saw on the menu you can order fish and chips with tofu instead, but it seems silly to come to a place known for seafood and swap their fish for tofu. Especially after eating the harvest dish, I don't know if they would even know how to properly prepare the tofu. Maybe this is a good spot for drinks and oysters but that's about it!

At the end of the semester I usually have quite a few YCMP swipes left so my friends and I splurge by using them up on "extravagant" meals at UClub. (Better that than feeding UMass Dining free money!) The menu in my opinion is definitely on the pricier side if you were to spend your own non-prepaid money, but it is an upgrade from the regular Dining Hall mass-produced meals. Plus it's in a charming blue old-fashioned house, apparently the oldest in Amherst! Most if not all of the servers are UMass students so I didn't factor any expectations for the service. Although I was impressed that when one of my friends made a reservation for 12 of us , the staff actually found a table AND private room to accommodate all of us! APPETIZERS: Pan-seared Scallops, Stuffed mushrooms (Both were delicious! Who knew scallops with a bit of apple sauce and some chips on the side would taste so good.) ENTREES: Pan-seared Salmon, Herb-crusted Mahi (Both my SO and I were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and appropriately seasoned the fish were!) I'll start off by saying that the staff was very nice. I told them it was our first time there and she sat us down, told us to look over the menu and then order at the counter when we were ready. We ended up sharing the breakfast monster crepe and also the eat your greens salad. I can honestly tell you that the eat your greens salad was one of the best salads I've had. its so simple but so delicious and packed full of flavor. The lettuce leaves were extremely fresh, and the dressing was homemade. The crepe was also good, not the best I've had but it was good. Honestly the winer for me was that salad. We also ordered some hot drinks and I was surprised to find that they have organic coffee, really good. and their honey is legit, not the fake stuff. I know some of the other reviews were complaining about the pricing on things but its obviously better quality as well. You can taste it for sure. I will say that the one thing I didn't like was the fact that the tables/chairs are so close together. We were sandwiched in between two families with children and it was really hard to relax. We had to listen to one family complain about not having gotten their crepe yet even though everyone else had gotten their food. I felt that if I even inched either to my right or left I would hit the person sitting on the other end. They need to configure the seating better. Otherwise, it's a great place, I'd definitely come back and maybe sit at a counter or a booth if I'm lucky.
