Violation Mass law that states it is illegal to charge a surcharge for the use of credit card charging extra 3.00 on bills. Service was terrible here, not just because they lied & said it was a new law that they then can charge fees. We also had to wait 10 min to be asked for our drink order, food was good but had to wait 30 minutes for it and they forgot our salads. Waitress never checked to see how our dinner was. Another waitress came over and refilled our drinks. read more

I used to really like this restaurant for their food and location to my house. However, my boyfriend purchased a giftcard for me because I was recovering from surgery, and the last two times I tried to use it they said they weren't accepting take out orders because they were short staffed and the owner wouldn't let them. So completely infuriating abd really shitty service. I'll encourage everyone I know to dine elsewhere from now on. read more

My pasta came out w a red tint. I think that was supposed to be the sauce. I saw another persons order and I think they got their sauce and mine. Very inconsistent. Then try to get a waitress over. Good luck. By the time I could corral the waitress over, the food was cold. She brought out some more sauce, but it was like lukewarm. By then, everyone else was finished with dinner and I just packed mine up. The food was "ok" but no one was thrilled with it. Some of us had been there before and they said it was great last time, but now... forget it. Also, I found a piece of something grab in my food. Thought we would give them a try. The menu looks great. The food was terrible. Cesar salad was mush, I asked for no croutons because I'm gluten free, but they included them and tossed them in. They were basically also mush. So impossible to pick out. French fries were frozen out of a bag, deep fried but somehow not cooked. Husband got wings, his comment was "Hope I don't have food poisoning". The only thing that was edible was the wedge salad, but how can you mess up cutting a head of iceberg in half and drenching it in blue cheese dressing. Unfortunately we got it to go, so we couldn't send it back. Also, no utensils or napkins were in the bag, so we had to ask to borrow some from the winery we went to. read more

A Very Disappointing Experience! My wife and I live in the Boston area and often spend time in the Berkshires. We are both dyed-in-the-wool foodies as well. On two occasions, we found ourselves passing through Easthampton, MA, and decided to stop at the Glendale Grill for lunch. The first time, about 15 months ago, was a particularly memorable experience. Everything from the mains to the sides was executed flawlessly. Even the spinach was cooked to perfection with oil, garlic and squeeze of lemon. Now fast forward to our experience just two weeks ago. It's as if we went to a different restaurant, and not a very good one! My catfish tacos were overcooked, not particularly well flavored, and the tortillas were chewy. My wife's grilled chicken sandwich was insipid and very poorly put together. It was so bad that she had to send it back. She then tried the pulled pork grilled cheese. Unfortunately, this was not much of an improvement. The pork was desiccated and the sauce sickeningly sweet. This restaurant went from being a gem to a run-of-the-mill, low quality diner. Although consistency is of paramount importance in the restaurant business, I also understand that sometimes there can be an off day. However, the disparity between the two experiences was so vast, that I decided to inquire with management. The answer I received was that the owners no longer oversee the kitchen during lunch hours. Not a good answer, to be sure! Why isn't the kitchen staff properly trained. I left my phone number to have one of the owners reach out and better explain, perhaps even offer me an incentive to come back and try it again. I received no calls from anyone. Having run my own consumer-facing company, it says a lot when an owner doesn't even care enough to address a legitimate and well-presented customer concern. Shame on Glendale Grill. We will not return, nor will we ever recommend this place to anybody! read more

What a great find. Cutting through Massachusetts and found just about the only place open on a Tuesday for dinner. Restaurant had a very homey feel vibe... Tables are nicely spaced out for your comfort. Had a handful of booths and tables, so you can pick what's best for you. The bar is very big with many high top tables, and large party high tops. There are 2 bathrooms that are very large and CLEAN, even have baby changing table. FOOD was excellent!!! We had the pot stickers with sweet chili sauce. Yummy. I had the Turkey Rachel, excellent... My husband had the Italian ham sandwich and was excellent, Mike high pile of meats. Let's not forget the French fries were just dreamy. I think they were double cooked imho, they were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside... Place doesn't look like a 5 star on the outside, but it totally is a 5 start. read more

The first time I came I was skeptical, but the duck breast with polenta was outstanding. The second time, however, I thought I'd returned to my elementary school cafeteria. The chicken francaise was awful. Soggy patties served with canned mushrooms and a smattering of spinach, over a watery pool of "sauce." Perfectly dreadful. The beet salad was pretty good, although the beets ranged in size from small cubes to large slices. And there was a random piece of red pepper in it... Order carefully! read more

In the middle of a residential neighborhood in Easthampton there's the Glendale Grill. Food is good, service is good, ambiance is just okay. The Glendale Grill needs a facelift. The dining room is a bit '90s dark motif', though the booths are nice. We had lunch - one clam roll with coleslaw and one cheeseburger melt with fries. The clam roll was excellent. Coleslaw was okay. Cheeseburger melt was huge and a tad messy, but pretty tasty. Our server was awesome. There's a decent sized lounge on the opposite side of the building from the restaurant which features club tables and an extensively equipped bar. There's also an event/banquet room though I didn't remember see how large it was. Parking is easy. Four steps up to the door on one side, ramp on the other. **Bonus feature** is $10 Dinner Night with a special menu item each evening, Sunday through Wednesday. We'll definitely be back. read more

Last night was our second time here, such a hidden gem!!! I got the Paella and my boyfriend ordered the Seafood Pomodoro. Absolutely delicious and each were under $20 (and NOT skimpy on the seafood!). Awesome menu where it's actually difficult for me to decide because everything sounds delicious. They have live music too which is excellent, we sat in the bar area the first time and the dining room the second time. It's loud in both but no complaints, it's a fun evening out. I can see why they're always busy, the nailed the price range/quality. Definitely our new go-to restaurant. Side note, I ordered my titos martini extra dry and was pleased when the waitress told me they don't even use vermouth lol, my kind of place. read more

Best place I've eaten at in a while. When you see a full parking lot the food has to be good. And it was. I ordered the Cheeseburger with havarti and fontana cheese and caramelized onions. A perfect combination. Ask for extra napkins, you will need them. I would call this a hidden gem off the beaten path. Simple dining room with nicely spaced tables. Open floor plan with lots of natural light and very clean. Did I mention there is a full bar on the other side of dining area? Will be checking that out soon. read more

This place always surprises me, it doesn't look like much but it's pretty darn good. I've been here half a dozen times and the wings, French onion soup, wedge stood out. It's no frills, bar is also good. Drinks are stiff. Waitstaff are good, friendly and no BS. It's a dependable place for a good meal. read more

I ordered a to go item only to find out they charge for a to go box. I was not told before hand by the waitress who was not happy when I complained. It seems I should have been told ahead of time. Most restaurants build in their paper products cost. So for 23.00 I opened up my dinner at home to a extremely unedible box of Ziti Bolognaise. I imagine my complaint was met in the kitchen by a salt shaker. read more

I've only been here once, but it was really great. The service was wonderful- our server was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to explain the menu and specials for us. I had the honey mustard glazed salmon (sooooo tasty!) and my partner had the paella (also delish!). This must be a wonderful place to work because all of the servers and bartenders seem to be VERY experienced and happy. Not a single weak link in this operation, from what I could see, and I've worked in the industry for about 19 years. I wish I took photos to share. Highly recommend! read more

What a pleasant surprise this place was! I've driven by a few times in the past taking back roads from east Hampton. We went here because I refused to go anywhere we've been before, and I was not disappointed. This place is what the Russell Inn wishes it was. Cute little restaurant which I almost overlooked because I felt it didn't have enough dinner dishes blew me out of the water. Their garlic bread is the best I've ever had (and let me tell you I have had A LOT of f*ckin garlic bread in my life. Goodbye fitzwillys, hello Glendale Grill. They had some great local beers on tap, but I felt the need for a vodka cran, which I felt could have been stronger. After the garlic bread and fried oysters, I got the steak and Gorgonzola flatbread (are you sensing my theme here?) my fiancée got a ham sandwich, and his sister got the steamers. All of our dinners were delicious. They had a side of potato salad, which I tried and could tell it was fresh and home made. Service was great, the live music was awesome and the food was simply scrumptious. As you can see, I didn't even remember to take the photo until I was half way through it. I would come back here just for the garlic bread alone. read more

In with a large group in their function room (a couple dozen people post-funeral). While I lived in Easthampton a number of years ago, I'd never patronized it, and too bad, because this is a fine place. Looks can be deceiving; it's damn near nondescript from the outside, not on a main drag, with a not-very-easily-seen sign, and looks far more like a modest office building than a restaurant. Inside it's just fine. I had a turkey sandwich special, served with very good fries on the side. I winced slightly at seeing the food served on those square white plates beloved of pretentious Manhattan bistros and Food Network shows, but, eh. My sandwich was excellent: full of meat, well prepared, I was raving. My wife had a thick burger, and she's picky about burgers; she was raving too. So was everyone else: a wide range of luncheon specials were in evidence, and everyone expressed delight. Every plate was cleaned, and a number of take-home cartons were stuffed. Our waitress, despite waiting on two dozen people, was courteous, efficient and as fast as we'd expect. I wish I could give this five stars, but I really can't. My (ostensibly) Diet Coke was far too sweet, leading me to wonder whether their syrup mix was off-kilter. The men's room had a sticky floor, and the urinal wouldn't flush. Still, these are relatively minor quibbles, and I'd be thrilled to come back here any time I was in Easthampton. read more

We had empty glasses 3/4 of the meal. BUT - the food was great and our server was nice. I would go there again and try their lunch. They have a large menu with options for everyone. This restaurant doesn't know what it wants to be. With only a fresh coat of paint it is the spitting image of the old restaurant that was in its place. Same booths, same tables, same lighting, same keno game. There is no art on the walls, there is nothing to let you know what kind of place you have just walked in to. Is it a pub? Is it a casual dining place? With no sound barriers it sounds like a cafeteria. Our waitress seemed nice but she soon proved to be very inattentive and actively ignored us "forgetting" our appetizer order. The food (when we finally got it) was amazing. My party ordered fish and chips, flat iron steak and the classic burger. Everything was cooked perfectly to order and was seasoned very well. Overall this place is worth going to for its food, the ambiance and service need some serious work though. read more

My fiancee and I came in here one day on an attempt to kill an hour before picking our daughter up from some school function (I think it was a Monday evening, like 6pm or so). I tell you what, I'm happy we did. The old Glory Days was nothing special: typical bar fare, and not much for atmosphere. Glendale Grill is leaps and bounds ahead of that old place and I'll tell you why: We got three things: Calamari appetizer, pulled pork grilled cheese (hell yeah!), and BBQ Chipotle salmon. All were fantastic. The salmon had VERY good presentation, and the mashed potatoes that came with it were nothing short of awesome. The calamari appetizer was pretty awesome too... unfortunately, to really get it the way it was supposed to be tasted you had to scoop the garlic from the bottom of the plate and get it on the rings. Ugh, #firstworldproblems! But if you didn't take the time to do that, the calamari tasted like chinese food... which isn't bad, but it left some to be desired. Pulled pork grilled cheese was pretty bad ass as well: they chose some pretty awesome cheeses on there. I wonder what it would have been like with BBQ sauce.... That's a good thought to have had a few days ago. The atmosphere wasn't anything special, but we did play some Keno so that was cool... and the service was fairly attentive. I'll be visiting again, that is for sure! It is closer to home than our normal "appz + drinkz" place, so that's a plus. read more

Glendale Grill recently opened in the old Glory Days location. What a great surprise- 4 of us (2 couples) went this past Wednesday night at 6:00 pm, and, while the dining room was full- the bar side still had a few high tops available. We ordered Chicken Douglas (a past dish with chicken and pesto sauce), a BBQ/Chipotle Salmon, and a Flatiron steak dish. All were delicious. I was especially happy to find out that the salmon is apparently fresh, wild caught and delivered every other day from Boston. Since the place is new, and while the waitress was good and friendly, there were a few kinks- the waitress was unsure regarding which beers she was serving. The food, while worth the wait, took a bit too long. Additionally, right after we finished our meal and the waitress cleared our plates, she cam back very quickly with the check. Moments before we were trying flag her down to order desserts. If the waitstaff does this too often, that's a lot of $$ lost to the restaurant. Overall- we most definitely will be going back. The food was great, there are more (but not too many) options for us to try, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. read more

Good bar food and beers , juicy burgers, wraps and salads. Their servers are very friendly and efficient. Nice restaurant with extensive/large bar in Easthampton mostly visited by locals. We were taken there by friends and continue visiting for Saturday lunch or snack. They have a good list of beers and alcohol. Also offer daily specials at their restaurant which is quite big. Went here for dinner on 2 separate occasions in the last month. Both times I have left extremely impressed. From what I could see in the front of the house, all the servers were wearing their masks and wiping down tables between customers. Our first visit was for my birthday and they were able to accommodate our table of 5 on a Friday night, even though it is walk-only, no reservations. The first dinner I had was fish and chips, which was delicious and a good portion. My brother had the pork shank, which melted off the bone, and he could not stop raving about the taste. The second visit I went for seafood again, and was just as impressed with the clam strips dinner. Very good portion and delicious! Would definitely recommend for dinner! read more
