Generally their food is pretty good. Out of all the locations I've frequented, Agawam has been the least consistent. Bar staff and service is great but table service can be hit or miss and food can be too. We went last Friday and it took quite a while for someone to come take our order. She was very pleasant when she finally came but we almost decided to leave as we waited so long. When our food came (which also took quite long) I noticed my boneless wings seemed more "plump" than usual. Typically the Hangars boneless are on the crispier side. Didn't think much of it until I took a bite into cold, rubbery, RAW chicken. . The server offered to have it redone but I declined and opted for chili instead. They took the chicken off but we paid for the rest. I was going to ask for the manager, but chose to contact via their Facebook page. However I got no reply. Serving raw chicken is a major health concern. And while accidents happen, The Hangar's lack of response is disappointing and will result in my avoiding it going forward. There's only two people at the bar eating. They just got their food so I told my wife five more minutes and we're here the waitress/bartender for the most busy in conversation at the corner of the bar with the two got their order, she never checking on our ready by the time we received waffle the outer edge were hard as a rock and all stuck to the paper like it's been sitting there underneath the heat lamp she just took it out of the took that off the price. I ordered a hamburger and she ordered the mac & cheese with garlic wings. She loves her but one wasn't any good dried out with Ritz crackers on top the hamburger was edible but dry. We finished our meal waiting for the waitress which was still talking to the same people so I got up to use the bathroom and then on the way back. I asked her if she wasn't too busy give check and a box. It was like I was disturbing their conversation so I made sure the two women heard me say instead of sitting here talking to them she should be taking care of the people sitting down eating I see one sit down for a and the girl was about 10 feet away from him still talking to the girls and he kept on looking over to add her shaking his head. I start with cheese covered waffle fries and those were thoroughly enjoyable. I had two beers from Amherst brewing ing and for IPA's a bit to citrusy with oats as part of the malt bill. I did an F16 wing package and split it into the two garlic flavors. I was surprising pleased with the garlic parm rub. The other half, hot garlic was good but not enough garlic for my taste. Overall a good dinner and I will go back. I've lived in Buffalo area for a number of years these were quite good wings. My only complaint is for 24 wings I only received one container of blue cheese. Stopped by for lunch on a recent afternoon. Ample parking. Hangar is kind of a hybrid between a traditional pub and a sports bar. The bar, where I sat, is ringed w overhead TVs tuned to various sports events. The menu features wings (both boneless and bony) with numerous sauces and rubs; burgers, wraps, reubens, etc. I opted for a WD cheeseburger w crispy fries. Barmaid Bri took my order, and she was perfect - efficient, friendly, effortlessly keeping mugs and glasses filled and refilled. When she brought the food out, she even said that she ordered well-done fries, not crispy. In any event, the food was cooked perfectly. Met some friends...first time here. Hugh pot hole in their driveway entrance. Neat place though. Server very friendly and "on the ball." Dry rub wings good. So very dissatisfied. Came with 4 teenagers after avoiding expensive food at six flags. I really wanted a decent sit down meal. We went on Tuesday 8:24.21. Ordered 24 wings, a pretzel and two pulled pork sandwiches. Pulled pork was wet and the only BBQ sauce was a small dollop on top. It was meant to come with onion rings in the sandwich. So they were forgotten and came later on a plate with a dollop of BBQ sauce on those. The sandwich was served open face and the bottom roll was soggy. Put the sandwich together, took one bite and could not eat it. It was really awful. Mine came with fries which were luke warm.m at best. One of the kids did get a side of fries that were piping hot. Pretzel.... My daughter ate most of the whole thing and offered me a bit of hers. She did not complain at all but it was dry and hard ( crunched into it). It also tasted stale. Honestly surprised my daughter did not comment on it but she was just really really hungry. One of the other kids with pulled pork said if she was not so hungry she would not have eaten it. A couple of the wings were dry with no meat. Almost as though they had been cooked, left aside and thrown back in. Waitress was absolutely wonderful and acknowledged the lack of quality of the food. I actually left my phone number to see if I could talk to the owner. He was not working that night and the kitchen staff obviously did not care what crap they put out. I truly felt like the kitchen staff were not being supervised and didn't care. I'd hoped I could share my experience with the owner as I really felt he needed to be aware of what was being served when he was not there... it's going to sink his business. Never heard back. You couldn't take me there and feed me even if it was free. I'd rather starve.... Which I did because I wasn't eating the just about cold fries and flavorless mushy pulled pork. Just GROSS. Out of 5 diners maybe 2 of them had a passable meal. Never ever again. $100 down the toilet.... Which is where most of the food belonged:( read more

Their buffalo wings are the best I ever had!! They were the biggest, most plump, juicy, tender and crisp I have EVER had. Wife and kids have ordered takeout several times. Golden boneless wings outstanding- quality of chicken far surpasses BWW. We live in Agawam and go back to the hanger once every few weeks for the delicious nachos and amazing wings. They also have very cool list micro breweries which changes periodically. Went in for lunch during the week. Empty as it just opened. Ordered a Reuben and a Cuban with fries and onion rings. Shortly afterward, informed that they were out of Reubens. Changed to a Buffalo Wrap. Took a while for the food as they were more concerned with take-out orders. The waitress did apologize for the delay as she was the on one working both areas. Food came and the Buffalo wrap was average but the Cuban was saturated in a butter spray and did not look like any other Cuban I have had. What really was disconcerting were the fries and onion rings were so dark as they were cooked in old oil. The waitress should have seen this but as I said she was the only one waiting on tables. I am honestly very disappointed in this Hangar Pub & Grill. The man who answered the phone was very rude to me. I ordered 12 wings ( puddle jumper) one dry rub, one with sauce. Asked if they could be put in a separate box for many reasons. He said he couldn't do that. I didn't put up a fight so when I went to pick it up I asked to speak to a manger. She was not helpful and basically said she doesn't know why they can't do that, not answering my questions, avoiding the point. They were obviously cooked separately ,it isn't that hard to put them in 2 different boxes. Overall terrible experience. Do not go to this Hangar. read more

Just got take out at the Hangar Pub & Grill on River Rd in Agawam tonight and it was fantastic. The Large Pretzel was soft and hot and salty; Mac-n-Cheese was creamy and delicious but not dense; Pulled Pork Sliders were fresh and the rolls were soft; Chicken was tender and juicy. Ordered online and was instructed pickup for 30 minutes after order. Showed up in 35 and food wasn't ready.....now another 45 minutes later and still no food.
