We dined here on the last night of school vacation week with 4 kids ranging in age from 5 to 15. We came in exhausted from a day at Six Flags. We did not have a reservation, so for 6 people, we expected a wait when walking in at 7:30 pm. We were greeted and seated in less than 2 min. The staff was extremely friendly. Joe, our server, was prompt and made great suggestions. We ordered the app Hot Mess, and it was exactly as advertised, a hot mess but absolutely delicious. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. We went on to try the BBQ tacos and the BBQ platter, both outstanding. The Grand daddy was a one-and-done cocktail for me as it was strong. I would highly recommend it if you like an old-fashioned. Lets start by saying as soon as I got out of the car I could smell the deliciousness pouring out the building. Parking lot was busy but when I walked in, dead. Not sure if that was the telling sign but for a rainy Saturday afternoon I would expect someone in here. Few people did show up after I ordered so that was good. Looked over the menu and none of the apps really stood out so went with what I came here for which was the brisket. Ordered that with a side of beans, brussels sprouts and a key lime pie to finish off the meal afterwards. Nothing I had screamed I need to come back soon. The pastrami did look good in one of the pictures here on Yelp, and a couple of gentlemen who showed up later order chicken sandwiches and I overheard them saying they were chicken sandwich connoisseurs and it was very good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? I was happy about the service. Struck a nice conversation with the bartender about the music playlist and how pleasing it was to hear some tracks that really fly under the radar being played. I do want to give here another chance being close to home. Place is pricey for bbq and as I said was not overly impressed with the food. There is a place near Stowe, VT that has really set the bar for me of what really good brisket is. And there is BT's in Strubridge, MA. which too has good selection of bbq. read more

I literally created a Yelp account just to write this review. My experience was *that* bad. If you're short on time, here's the short version: just go to Theodore's. Better food, better service, better overall experience. The location itself is nice, conveniently located, and there's plenty of parking. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We were a party of six and apparently that qualifies as a "large party" with an automatic 20% gratuity. Nobody mentioned that to us, which might explain why our service felt like such a low priority. We ordered three appetizers. They took forever to arrive, and only one was actually hot. The Brussels sprouts had great flavor and a nice crisp texture, but they were stone cold and had to be sent back. The $20 chips were stale. Charging twenty bucks for stale food is wild. Oh and be prepared to pay $6 a soda too. Things didn't improve from there. My sides arrived before my brisket. The cornbread was warm and probably the best thing I ate all night. The waitress forgot my mac and cheese, which turned out to be a blessing because after tasting someone else's, it tasted like boxed Velveeta. Save your money. The onion rings were oddly sweet and tasted more like funnel cake than onion rings. Everyone at the table received their meals except me. About fifteen minutes later, the waitress stopped by to check on us. When I asked about my brisket, she went to investigate and came back saying they were still "working on it." More time passed before it finally arrived. By then, all of my sides were cold. The brisket itself was tender, but it was lacking flavor and, once again, cold. One thing that really surprised me: this is a BBQ restaurant, yet no BBQ sauce was brought to the table. We had to ask for it. In fact, we had to ask for everything. And every request meant another long wait for the waitress to circle back. Eventually, we stopped asking for basic things like ketchup (and drink refills) because it just wasn't worth it. Came here for a late lunch with hubby's aunt and uncle. An unassuming bbq joint in the plaza next to CVS, we were pleasantly surprised at their offerings! We started with the spicy shrimp hushpuppies... they are good, just wish you got a few more with the order! Chipotle aioli is a nice compliment to them. For entree, hubs went with the brisket cheesesteak while I went with the reuben.... highly recommend the reuben! Salty, flavorful, griddled to perfection....I'd absolutely get this again. We visited with friends recently and were very disappointed. The service was slow, drink and food orders were forgotten, and when the food finally arrived it was cold. The chips were stale, the BBQ meats were tender but cold, and the prices did not match the quality. Overall, not a good experience every dish came out cold and we won't be returning. read more

Our third time to visit this spot. The food is pretty good and consistent. Good flavor and decent portions. The servers are attentive and keep things flowing and cups full. Although, I think it's a bit ridiculous to pay $2 for an ice cube in my scotch, I've never been up-charged for ice at a restaurant before. The Parking lot can house maybe 20 spaces shares by the four businesses in the building so be prepared for that, it's a hiring a pain. There is additional parking on the side street but not ideal. Bad, just bad. The Mac and cheese was not only bad, it was cold. The brisket cheese steak was warm at best and beyond dry. I ate less than half- didn't even take the other half home. The 1 bbq sauce offering was fair at best. The corn-beef was barely edible (bread was ok). By daughters exact words regarding her order "how do you f-up a cob salad!" The menu states "award winning". The wife and I's First time here and our server Jordan C., was very welcoming polite personable knowledgeable and helpful as she recommended an array of awesome dishes from the menu (pics to follow) so we started w/the Onion rings which were hot fresh and battered in a nice flavorful yet slightly sweet batter( similar to fried dough batter) then our entrees were (His- brisket cheesesteak & uniquely seasoned waffle fries) (Hers- brisket plate entree W/ marvelous Mac n cheese). We booked Easter brunch at Fletcher's expecting a great experience -- but instead, we left disappointed and frustrated. Their advertised prix fixe menu listed a choice of coffee or mimosa, starting at 10:00 AM. Sounds simple enough, right? Except when we got there, we were told they couldn't serve alcohol until noon. I even mentioned that Massachusetts law allows service at 10 AM on Sundays (and Longmeadow too), but the manager quickly cut me off, saying their license says 12 PM and walked away -- no explanation, no empathy, just dismissal. Let me be clear: this isn't about wanting alcohol. It's about expectation and experience. Brunch and mimosas go hand in hand -- it's part of the vibe, especially on a holiday like Easter. If your liquor license has a limitation, say that in the promotion. Don't advertise something you can't serve at the time you say you will. It's misleading, and frankly, it wasted our time on a special day. I hope they fix their advertising and take more care with how they communicate to customers. Because today? The food was good. I got a three meat platter with pork, lean brisket, and ribs. I was very happy with my meal, but service is a mess. The hostess was hiring her cape and blowing it in the kitchen when I walked in. Excellent BBQ with some cool options. Also menu has lots of gluten free items. I don't know how they do it but their waffle fries don't get soggy buried under bbq sauce and meats. I am particular about waffle fries and these are the best I have had. Good service, very attentive Ambience is good. Went to Fletchers on a Monday evening. It wasn't busy at all. Food came out pretty quickly, which was ok with us. The chicken and brisket were both very moist but lacked flavor. I personally didn't care for the BBQ sauce. The sides were tasty. The brisket cheesesteak was good at first but once the sandwich started to cook the cheese sauce got gross. All in all it was an ok experience nothing to memorable. The two meals with a seltzer and one beer cost us $90 with tip. A bit pricey. read more

Awesome local BBQ! Stopped in mid-afternoon on Sunday and got right in. Tried the signature Szechuan Glazed Burnt Ends and they did not disappoint! The glaze and cook were delicious. We also shared the BBQ Platter filled with brisket, pulled pork and spare ribs. It came with delicious beans, coleslaw and pickles. Way too much for us to finish but I'm not sad - I get to enjoy it again at home. The restaurant is roomy, nicely decorated and the staff was great. If you haven't been here yet, you should! Came to Fletcher's for a lunch with some friends a couple of days ago. To say that I was unimpressed would be understating it incredibly. I got burnt ends that are supposed to come in a szechuan sauce. I liked the sauce but it was certainly not szechuan. And when the meal came to the table it was luke warm at best. So I asked the waitress to take it back, whereupon she informed me that another meal would be prepared. And then, less than five minutes a later a " brand new meal" came to my table. It had obviously been placed into a microwave. And what emerged was the dryest, stringiest imitation of burnt ends I have ever encountered. How could a so called quality ( and trust me the prices at Fletcher's are not low) establishment claim that it was a real restaurant when their solution to luke warm dinners was to throw them into the microwave so that I could be impressed with the fact that my entree resembled the consistency of a goodyear tire. My husband and I stopped by mid-afternoon on a Sunday with our 6yo and 6mo in tow. Bar area has great ambience, can't wait to return for date night. The music was consistently great, and not too loud. We were led to a cozy corner booth in the back dining area by a friendly hostess and our server (Jordan, maybe?) was delightful as well. We just got a couple drinks -- loved the Raspberry Spritz and my husband enjoyed the Grand Daddy -- while our picky kid devoured their chicken tenders and waffle fries (not a given that he'd enjoy, unfortunately). We stole enough of his fries that we eventually ordered our own, and risked messing with perfection by adding the optional bbq seasoning. So glad we did! Not spicy, just delicious. This was my second time at Fletcher's and still not overly impressed. The restaurant was freezing and had unpleasant smells throughout. The server and hostess were very friendly. The service was a little slow but not because of server as she was hustling and only 2 servers working on a busy Friday night. I appreciate the large and unique wine selection but feel the price for glass was a bit much for the amount you are served. My friend had an espresso martini and did like the taste. We shared the buffalo cauliflower which I have had before and enjoyed the smoky, hot flavor. The beet and feta salad was delicious with plentiful portion of beets and oranges. The ahi tuna tacos seemed a bit small and my friend did not enjoy the taste of the shell. Although my food was tasty, not sure this is a spot I will choose to go to for night out. read more

Had an office lunch here. Went with just two of their barbecue items - pastrami and brisket. Was rather disappointed with both. Neither had that smokey flavor you'd expect from slow cooked barbecue. How you can screw up coleslaw is beyond me! Yogurt?? Why!???? It is so hard to find just a normal pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. This place had a chance to be the best and they just squandered it! At least get the basics right. Everyone I talk to about this always agrees but maybe no one bothers telling the restaurant. So... let me give ya'll the whole story. Ordered online. That process was easy via Toast Tab. Prices? Outrageous but I figured they must be priced this way for quality. MISTAKE. I ordered the scallops (4) as a "starter" for $16. The bok choy was overcooked and also undercooked at the same time. I have no idea how that's possible. We also ordered the pastrami. It was not tender at all and extremely over salted. The grits from the catfish and grits were not seasoned or mixed enough to not be clumpy. We also requested for it to be packaged separately and it was not so we had to request for it to be made again. Sad to say that the best food item that we ordered was the cornbread. Just ate here. This place was absolutely horrible. First of all the food was horrible. Brisket was too dry to digest, pulled pork had the consistency of mashed potatoes, collard greens were bland with weird vegetables in it, and put smoked beans were just bad. The said on the beans was so thin it would even stick to the beans. and they were undercooked. Then to top it off as we were leaving, after paying full price and tipping well, we overheard our server complaining to another server about their guest saying "At least they aren't black people". Which my blest friend that I was there with IS. We could not believe this level unprofessionalism and flat out racism. I would not recommend EVER going to this place. Bad food and racist staff.
