I will have to retract my previous glorious Google review of Route 20 Bar & Grille…read more Having previous good experiences there in the past I took my son there (who was visiting from Brooklyn,NY). What a HUGE disappointment..... We visited on a Prime Rib Tuesday. There was no Prime Rib available....ok Sooooo. we opted for the scallops...not available So a steak was ordered....wow...it was not cooked to order and covered up with some sloppy gravy... Anyway...the Celtics were playing on the evening we were there We asked 3 different workers to put the game on the numerous tv's.....we were told they were on it.....we asked a few times... NO Celtics....despite two Hockey,One baseball and one PBS type show on the big screen T.V.'s Not sure what has happened since I enjoyed this place (at least 6 times that I recall) Probably will not be going back any time soonl

I was the only one at a table. I ordered their mac and cheese and it was not only absolutely HORRENDOUS AND FLAVORLESS, but it also took my entire hour lunch break for them to manage to figure out how to put cheese on noodles. The waitress responded by offering me to take longer to make it back to work by making me wait to have it replaced with chicken tenders. I said yes and they were most as bad as the Mac and cheese. horrible. 0/10. stay away!!!!!!

They've got a HUGE variety of local draft craft beers, which is truly awesome! The prices are great- really can't be beat, around $4 for local drafts. Also, they've got a great Irish whiskey selection. The bartenders are attentive and quick. The Sunday night bartender (my memory's failing- forgot her name) is my absolute favorite. Great personality and she always remembers me (now I feel bad). But honestly the best part?? Peppas is attached. Whiskey, beer, and pizza? YES. My only complaint is that some nights it gets packed with college kids and I'm not a higher fan of that. Other wise great!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Stopped here for a drink after having dinner with friends. Thought it…read morewould be cool because of the beer list. Middle aged white haired man behind the bar is the owner. I had a beer that my friend ordered and then stepped up to the bar to order another. When I tried to order, he was immediately rude before I got 2 words out of my mouth. He started yelling (yes, yelling) at me and telling me I had to wait. I was shocked. It made no sense. When I politely asked why he was so excited, he yelled, "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?!?!" at me. It was obvious he had been drinking. I couldn't believe it so I quietly stepped down to the other end of the bar and ordered my beer from a female bartender who was polite. She confirmed he was the owner. I asked if he was usually rude and she made an embarrassed face at me as if to confirm that he is and to say sorry. I went back to my friends only to notice the owner kept glaring at us and saying things to other patrons who would turn and look at us. We tried to ignore him, but he started yelling "WHAT"S YOUR PROBLEM?!?" at me across the bar and then called me an asshole. We couldn't believe it. He then yelled at us to leave. I told him that I would finish my beer and go, and then the owner's son (who was also drunk) suddenly PHYSICALLY ATTACKED ME FROM BEHIND!! It was unreal. All of this spilled out into the street where the owner and his son followed us down the block with some of their friends and continued to try to engage us in a fight. Could not believe it. We had to jump in a car and leave. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place is awful. I've been all over the world and I've never seen anything like this. I read the other review on YELP where the patron recalled being treated horribly for being gay and it sounded just like what we experienced from this drunk jerk (the owner). AWFUL OWNER, AWFUL PEOPLE, AWFUL SERVICE, AWFUL BAR. Do yourself a favor and don't expose yourself or your friends to this place. It's not safe and they don't deserve your money.

Making a name for themselves for being the live music and craft beer destination. Not a fancy…read moreplace, but if you're there for a show, that likely doesn't really matter. Good layout with the interior of the bar to accommodate live music. It is possible to enjoy the bar, and perhaps the Bruins on one of their TV's in the bar/entrance area, while a band is playing at the opposite end of the venue. One big flaw in my book was the use of plastic cups for beer. I understand it was a busy night with a popular band playing the night I attended, however craft beer and a plastic cup misses the boat.
