Ski mountain pub food. Not great but will do the trick for lunch. Bar service is super slow so be patient. They can just touch up the food a little and it could be better. The nachos are better with no queso and just extra cheddar instead. The chili is to soupy and has n barely any meat in it - mostly beans. The wings are great!! Really good, it wasn't this good last time we came around, the fries were so good and crispy. I got the crispy chicken or something along those lines, it was impressively crispy, and juice aswell. Plus the chipotle sauce gave it the perfect touch. Service was great, really nice dude who took care of us. Good and friendly environment, loved the rides aswell. Service, overall, was terrible. Waited, by ourselves - no one else waiting for a seat - for at least 10 minutes with only a 1/3 of the restaurant filled. Wouldn't say anything if they were short handed but there was plenty of staff. They were experts at avoiding eye contact with us and continued laughing and joking in the corner of the bar. Pretty sure the workers were running up front pouring drinks for themselves and going out back to the kitchen. No this wasn't around a holiday and yes they looked guilty and sneaky. When we were finally approached we were treated with eye rolls and like they couldn't be bothered to seat us - it was 7pm!! We opted for the bar figuring we would get faster service. We were wrong. None of them cared to work. The bartender and staff continued with their chats and the only other two people at the bar. Took FOREVER to get the bartender to come over to take a drink order, he quickly left and didn't offer us a menu. It was like we were bothering him with our patronage. Then we sat with empty glasses for a long, long time and no menus until we finally made eye contact and waved him over. Like seriously dude? What gives?? It wasn't busy at all, only two other people at the bar to whom they (the staff) were talking and laughing with. Finally ordered and got a second drink. We totally get it if they were under staffed or busy, but neither was the case. Left a small tip and a note describing our displeasure. Won't go there again. Lazy staff and expensive for typical bar food. It's truly absurd at how bad the service was. I've never had this terrible of an experience before. We will head to restaurant down the street instead. It might be a different atmosphere than a tavern but the service is great and they have a great bar. Don't waste your time here. read more

This is a nice bar to kick back and relax after a long day on the mountain. It gets pretty crowded on the weekend. We walked in around 3pm and were told that there was an 1.5 hour wait for a table. Thankfully we were lucky enough to grab a couple seats at the bar that just became available. The beers are overpriced though (about $9.50 each) but surprisingly the hot spiked beverage was only $10. There's also an outdoor deck with a heat lamp where you can sit and watch people skiing down the mountain. read more

Very so so restaurant. It is located in the middle of a ski resort so it has a captive audience. The staff is very friendly but the food is TGI Fridays on a bad day. Mostly junk food and it isn't high quality junk food at that. We had: - Nachos - they would have been okay but the salsa tasted like someone opened a jar of Old El Paso salsa that was sitting in the refrigerator and dumped it on top of a pile of chips and cheese. - Fried Green Beans - they were average sitting on a bed of wilted lettuce. The dipping sauce was....interesting - Mac n Cheese - ziti noodles with cheese sauce. My daughter was unimpressed. - Pasta with Butter - ziti noodles with butter, basic. - Garden Salad - basic but then again, it is a garden salad. - Pulled Pork sandwich - loaded with grizzle. Food is good but pricey. The real problem is that the food takes forever. You used to be able to come here and then go back out to ski but now you can only come here at the end of your ski day because you will be waiting a long time -- first for a table and then for your food. They also don't have enough space to sit in the waiting area even though there is ample space. As I write this, I realize that this will be my last visit here. The burger was the size of small military slider. One of the biggest problems with this place is the hours it closes at 6 PM and there is nothing for miles with outdoor seating. read more

Came here for lunch while skiing at Jiminy Peak. Tried several of their burgers. Since they are all well done, it was hard to judge the flavor. The soup and sandwiches are average - not bad. After being seated at John Harvards with the wife and two kids and never being even asked if we even wanted a drink, and walking out 20 minutes later (read my review on John Harvards, also on the Jiminy Peak Mountain)...we finally had to go back to the condo and I walked down and picked up take-out from this place. I was very happy, even as take out is concerned. First, the tap was good, same as John Harvards i'm almost positive and I had the Black WIdow while I waited. Excellent. French onion soup was not great though, maybe its a Massachussetts thing, but never can get a good bowl of this stuff up there. WIngs were ok, not cooked enough though even after asked for well done, but sauces were real good and the triple hot sauce thing they have has amazing flavor. Not even that hot either, just great and I really enjoyed it. Ruben was just awesome, nothing more to add to that! Pulled pork nachos were also slamming!!! I'd definitely stop in for a bite after a day at the slopes, or if you get screwed at every other restaurant in town and then show up at Powder hounds after walking with the wife and two kids only to find out they don't open till 4...no but in all seriousness i have eaten here before a few times and its always good. Not bad bar food. A bit expensive but I suppose it's a convenance fee. When you are staying at Jiminy Creek you need to eat. Christiansen's was the First we tried and there was hardly anyone in the bar at that hour but split the fish tacos and buffalo wings. Cost $15 for the tacos and $15 for the Wings. Had a $6.60 beer on tap. The meals were large and the bar clean. Wings tasted a little different from your average buffalo wings and there was much more coleslaw than fish in the tacos but the flavors on the taco were good. Nothing special just food. Weird to review a place I basically grew up at, but here goes. Three stars because it's the best place to eat at Jiminy Peak and that doesn't say much. It has a lot of the same food as JJ's, but for a more expensive price. It's cool that it has a similar view as the old lodge prior to JJ's (glass walls, that whole thing). I would say the wait staff are fantastic, but I do know all of them so I might be a bit biased (they still rock). Unfortunately, the food is so overpriced for the quality that it's sad. However, you can't ask much from ski resort food. Voted best place to get a beer after work by all Jiminy staff... unless you count Old Forge. Go there instead if you're not extremely tired. All in all, I would eat here again. I've eaten here many times. It brings back good memories, there is old ski equipment tacked to the wall and ski videos playing on TV (which is much better than the news). You can also watch sports here. If I'm not mistaken, they no longer let in people under age 18 alone, which is kinda weird considering it's not just a bar....and serves food? ....but whatever Jiminy. You do you. read more

Where do I begin? We had a party of seven, three adults and two kids. they had to see us at two separate tables. They completely ignored the kids and we had to try several times to flag down a waiter. The kids' food took so long that most of them just opted to take it to go. The fresh hot pretzels we ordered were still partially frozen in the middle! The other food we got was adequate. two of the things we ordered never came. If you're a wing lover like me you must try the wings from Christiansen's because they're delicious! Both the classic buffalo and garlic parmesan were so good that we could NOT stop eating. Aside from the wings, my group ordered Philly cheesesteaks and burgers to which they gave excellent reviews. We sat at the bar since the wait for a table was long and our snow escapades made us extra hungry, we were pleased that the bartenders were friendly and quick to take our orders. Our walk from the slope to Christiansen's was short which made this location more appealing. We enjoyed our food and felt ready to continue the adventure after being fed and replenished. read more

We arrived just before 5 pm on a Thursday in July and had the place to ourselves. The outdoor deck was perfect for an early dinner. My husband had the turkey burger, which he found a bit spicy (he has no tolerance for "hot"). I ordered the Jiminy Greek salad - loved the name and the salad! It was enormous with generous portions of feta, multi-colored tomatoes, olives, etc. My kids ordered kids meals ($7 each includes beverage) - and ate them all. Grilled cheese and fries, popcorn chicken, delicious applesauce, the usual kids fare minus the pasta and pizza options. We started our Jiminy Peak Berkshire vacation with a family dinner at John Harvard's and ended it at Christiansen's Tavern. Christiansen's was, by far, the better of the two. read more

We stopped into Christiansen's after a day of skiing for some adult beverages and apps and were pleased with the cozy pub with suprisingly good food and friendly staff. The log cabin feel did get a bit lost since the place was packed but it was still cute. The crowd was a mix of families, 20 & 30 something's hovering around the bar, and pretty relaxed. The beer list was pretty standard (Bud, Gunnies, Sam, etc) for around $6 a pint--not too bad. We had the pulled pork nachos and shrimp & chorizo quesadilla--both were tasty, pretty filling, and reasonably priced. The menu offers pretty standard pub style fare, noting really stood out but our apps were delicious. Over all it was a good stop for quick drinks and bite right on the resort grounds. read more

Loved the Mac and cheese. You are able to add a bunch to it (which is amazing). The bacon I ordered in my Mac and cheese was a little over board. Was a lot of left over. But other than that the meal was amazing. Mac and cheese is my favorite and this is one of the best! Definitely coming back! read more
