Everything about the Killarney screams Irish pub - from the decor, the vibe and the menu. We came in on a Saturday night post-snowboarding at Okemo after getting turned away at the Loft because they were at full capacity. The host quoted a really long wait time but we actually got seated an hour earlier than what was estimated - score! While we were waiting I got to try one of the alcoholic hot chocolates at the bar that warmed my soul. We got seated in a separate main dining area away from the bar. Our server was very friendly and efficient even on a super busy night like the one we came on. Once our food came we all agreed - best Irish pub food we've ever had! The chicken wings were super crispy as well as the fish and chips. I normally don't care for corned beef and cabbage, but it tasted better here than where ever I've had it in the past and the shepherd's pie filling was juicy with a lot of flavor. We were here last year and had burgers that were just fine, so this year we decided to revisit it. The special was an enticing Irish beef and potato dish. All of our party of four ordered it. When we received our meals, we found the dishes served, not hot as they should have been, but barely warm; the meat was not well cooked and very tough with the diced potatoes also hard from not being cooked thoroughly. When I complained to our server, they immediately apologized and said that we should order something else instead. So, being that we weren't blaming them, we again ordered food. Two ordered mushroom burgers well done with lettuce, tomatoes and. no onions. Another ordered the same, but cooked medium. I ordered the fish and chips. After now waiting another 40 minutes to be served, the next meals came. This time we found the two well done hamburgers to be cooked medium and the medium one to be almost raw. The fish and chips I ordered appeared to be of the frozen, precooked variety, not at all the high quality of what I expected from an Irish pub. I again talked to our server explaining that we didn't find them responsible for this situation since it was the kitchen's fault and, would still pay full price and give a good tip to them. But the one thing I told them that they must do is let the owner know of this so that they can remedy it; otherwise, their business will decline. read more

I don't ask for a lot in my Irish pubs. But over the years, this place has worked its way into my heart. And a recent visit showed why it remains one of the top places to stop in town or apres ski. I came by on a Wednesday night and the bar area was humming. I sat at the bar and got a fantastic Black and Tan with both Guinness and Smithwicks. Proper start. And really who wants a fancy IPA on a cold winter night. Give me some stout and an ale. I then went for the chicken pot pie. I don't know if I was just hungry or I haven't been eating out as much but I could not stop eating this dish! The pastry was perfect and the filling a great consistency without being too soggy. The bartender was efficient and the kitchen effective. Plus I got to watch the winter Olympics. Watching curling seemed appropriate. Here's a toast to Killarney! We chose the Killarney on the evening we arrived for our ski vacation. We were a party of sox: three adults, three tween girls. We got the maple Buffalo wings and Killarney rolls. Both were very good. Two of us got cosmos. They were good and strong. My husband got the Almond Joy adult hot chocolate. He liked it very much. For our entrees, my husband and I got the award winning Jameson chicken pot pie. I had high hopes. The crust was good but the chicken filling was under-seasoned. A group of 4 had dinner here on 9-18-25. I ordered the beef tips from their special. When it arrived, I tried one of the first pieces and it was amazing. Very tender and cooked perfect. But then I tried my second piece, it had the texture of mashed potatoes and tasted spoiled. I immediately got our waitress and showed her the issue. My concern was, I'm sure they still have spoiled meat in the back, and I wanted her to alert the cooks as soon as possible. She apologized and took the plate back. When she returned to fill our drinks, I asked what the cook had to say. She said he claimed it was just a very tender piece of meat. This floored me. Zero lack of responsibility. I could literally spread this spoiled meat onto a cracker like pate. Not to mention the very spoiled taste. No manager was ever notified or talked with us. Our server was great, and we knew she had no say in the situation. When we walked up to the restaurant in the beginning, I noticed the kitchen had a separate door left wide open to the elements with the kitchen staff and I'm sure the owner, standing in there cutting up and cursing out loud about this and that. This did not bother me as it's a small town, but it's obvious sanitation is not a concern nor are customers attempts at alerting to dangerous issues. None of us will be making a trip back here. This was an interesting meal and my first time trying Irish food, so take it with a grain of salt. My favorite part of the meal was the ginger cider cocktail (I think it was a special) - SO WARM and delicious after a cold day on the slopes. For food, we got potato skins, shepherds pie, bangers and mash, pot roast, and wings. The verdict: Pot roast was amazing. So flavorful and tender and HUGE portion. Potato skins were delicious too - crispy bacon and crispy potatoes always makes for a good time. Shepherds pie was also good but not great - needed a little more flavor but when we ate it as leftovers and added a bit more salt it was delicious. Wings were crispy but I didn't think they had enough sauce covering the wings. My least favorite was the bangers and mash - I think this is just a preference thing of not enjoying boiled sausages, but the gravy was not that flavorful either. I will have to try more Irish food in general to have a better idea. Overall would check this place out again if around the area. read more

The meat was very overwhelming and chunky, almost meatball sized. I could barely find any veggies in the mix. While it came out hot, it was just okay. One thing to note is that in the fish and chips, we found a piece of hair in the breading inside the fish. The chair also had mashed potatoes left on it from the last person. You can order traditional Buffalo, BBQ, Teriyaki, Honey Dijon, spicy Habanero sauce, or their Award Winning Competition sauce... but we cannot remember what it is! Phew!!! We had the traditional Buffalo wings. The wings were large, juicy, and meaty. The sauce was a smidge salty and could have had a bit more kick. Again, we are not wing experts so this is personal preference. Overall, they were good. You could have bleu cheese or ranch. The Irish theme is everywhere but what do you expect from a place called The Killarney? They have an impressive collection of Single Malt Scotches and Irish Whiskeys, along with Bourbons and Ryes. True, it is always 5 o'clock somewhere but midday was a bit too early for us to start drinking.
