The Killarney never disappoints. We've been coming here for decades and it just gets better. Mark and his team do a fantastic job with the food and the service. This was Saturday night during MLK weekend saw them jammed packed. The team did outstanding job and we don't mind waiting for a table on a busy weekend. The chicken pot pie and the strip steak special were awesome and the competition wings always remind us why the won the "competition" time and time again. Awesome place, fun crowd, great staff. Waited 50 minutes for a table after the hostess told us it would be a 30 minute wait, turns out she threw out the ticket with our party's name on it and never called for us while we were waiting in the restaurant as instructed to by her. read more

Hey, I had a pretty good sandwich here I think I had the Ruben which I really liked. My friend got a sandwich that was supposed to have horseradish in it, and it was weak in the horseradish, but they still produce some horseradish out, so it turned out to be very good in the end read more

Went to dinner there tonight with a couple friends, food was great, no complaints there. The service was very slow and very inconsistent. We sent back a lemon drop martini because it literally tasted like a vodka water (came out clear in color) at the end of the meal we got the bill and noticed that the martini was still on it even though we had sent it back and did not drink most of it. When our server Emily came back to the table to cash us out we said "that lemon drop martini is still on the bill" she responded very rudely saying "and its going to stay on there" she then says she is going to send over the manager to talk to us because we did not intend to pay for a drink we did not finish and you took away from the table. Turns out the women she went over was NOT the manager, but the other bartender (also the owners daughter apparently) who also came over being very rude from the beginning before we even said anything to her. Safe to say if you go here dont have a problem with anything they give you because they will treat you like the scum on the bottom of your shoe. read more

Lengthy, but follow me for a second. We got into town Wednesday before Spartan Killington. It's a small quaint town, and mostly I love it! We got in on Sept. 11 and with reason a lot of businesses were closed. Killarney's was one of the few spots open for a good, warm meal (Shepherd's Pie for two). Our waitress, Danielle, was great! She even made recommendations of other places we should try while in town. The whiskey selection is great! The food was perfect. That ambience was on point. The following evening we thought we'd check out a place our waitress recommended only to be turned away. We walked in to the establishment at 8p (they close at 9p) and were turned away because they shut down for the evening. We decided to go back to The Killarney. Corned beef and the Irish Meatloaf, more whisky and dessert. ALL. GOOD. I'm sorry I forgot our waitress's name, but just as awesome as the first night. Race eve, we always stay in, but the thought crossed oue minds to just hit Killarney's again. We remained faithful to race tradition. Today post-race, we rushed back from Killington to get cleaned up and back to The Killarney for our last meal in town. Fish & Chips, Irish Pot Roast, Red Breast x2 a Guinness and Smithwick's. Perfect end to a great race weekend! Also to note, Thursday the pub had an amazing Irish band, and live music again tonight (I didn't catch his name, but acoustic guitar game is ON POINT). You will not go wrong with this establishment. I've been to MANY "Irish Pub's" #fakenews but The Killarney is SPOT ON. If we decide to tackle the behemoth that is Killington, we will definitely be back for multiple meals and drinks! Great job y'all! *Edit. In reading previous posts I have to say that the traditional irish meals offered here were DELICIOUS! I wouldn't venture to order a BLT or tacos outside of a sandwich shop or taco stand. Killarney's is my favorite place to eat! It can be QUITE busy at times but this is nothing to give a negative remark about, it's only because the food, and service is that good! I can not bring myself to try anything else other than the Corned Beef and the Pot Roast, because those are FAR too delicious to not get, but i've tasted their wings off a friends plate before and those are also amazing. 5/5 easy!!! read more

My bf and I realized very quickly that summer dinner hours in VT end at 8, but Killarney's was still open! We were greeted warmly and seated. We got a couple drinks, which definitely had an extra Irish tip of the bottle in there, strong yet delicious. My bf got the shepherds pie - it was unreal. The gravy was to die for and the mashies were so silky and buttery. I got the pan seared tuna tacos (rare tuna). I loved that they had the perfect amount of chipotle mayo vs avocado spread and black beans and corn so that it didn't overpower the high-quality tuna which was PERFECTLY cooked. Tortillas were lightly grilled so they didn't fall apart. My bf finished off with this MONSTER sundae - which subsequently was the only picture of our meal that we got. The atmosphere was homey and comforting with antique signs/pictures dotting all the walls so there was always something new to look at. We met Mark, the owner, who is quite a collector. They hit the mark with amazing choice of whiskeys, scotches, etc. We ordered the "Competition Winning Wings", home made pretzels and beer cheese sauce, fish tacos, fish and chips (with malt vinegar of course) and their great chicken pot pie. Came for lunch with 3 friends. Three of us had the Irish BLT. Speaking for myself, I wasn't wowed by the sandwich. The bread was fresh, but the bacon didn't seem to be. There was lots of cheese, which is always good, and the tomato, lettuce and onion were fine. The side of slaw was meh. It came with TONS of fries that were average, at best. The pickle was exceptional. The other person in our party had a Caesar Salad with fried chicken. It was a little unusual-it had tomatoes but no croutons. But the portion size was very large. There are a decent number of draft beers to choose from and they are served in a 20 oz. pint glass-a bargain, for sure. Bottled beer, as well. "Wing champions" is the first thing you see when you pull up to this place. Given that I'm really like that... I knew I would be the harshest critic to ever sit down here. I ordered the calm 12 piece in the bone bbq wings... crunch immaculate....sauce ratio satisfying...overall electric. I then proceed to order a burger medium rare of course... Pause on the rare tho. Nestled ever so gently at the base of Okemo Mountain mountain lies a wonderful little Irish themed establishment named Killarney's Pub. Pub de la Killarney offers ample dining room seating, fantastic bar area, and a welcoming staff. I have been here twice, both times as soon as they opened right at noon after a full day of skiing. Both times we have been blessed with the company of Tyler as our bartender who is friendly, a conversationalist, and seems genuinely happy to see/meet you and offers a welcoming handshake upon introduction. Killarney's is apparently known for their wings, and these little wingys won't disappoint, and by little I mean large, they are of the jumbo kind, lightly breaded(which I have my contentions about but I'll let it slide because they are crispy), and come with the 2nd best house made bleu cheese ever. I hate bleu cheese, but house made bleu is of a different category and I can take a large spoon to it huddled in a corner for hours, eyes bloodshot and clothes ripped from the animalistic desire to devour this type of bleu cheese, it is that good... What is the best bleu pray tell? Archie Moore's in Wallingford CT, but I don't want to digress from the beauty that is Mr. Or Mrs. Killarney. I recommend the wings(buffalo as a base, skip the habanero IMO, go for the special SOWSE). Next I had a Verbacon burger, a burger dowsed in maple drizzle, maple bacon, and Cabot cheddar cheeeese. Maple bacon the bacon plate, maple! What a yummy yummy treeaaaaaat... I asked for the addition of lettuce, tomato, and extra mayo on the side, Killarney fries well done, it did not disappoint. This burger is in my top 15 of all time burger best burger beauties. What really stands out Killarney's for me is that with all the places Ludlow has to offer, the first place that comes to my mind of where I want to return to is Killarney's. Our food was really good. The service was less than pleasant. Our waitress was pretty rude, and scoffed at anything ordered out of the norm. But, like I said, the food was definitely worth it. We got potato skins and a side of veggies as appetizers. The potato skins were amazing! I highly recommend. The veggies were delicious! Usually we go for the pot roast, but they were out of it tonight so we tried the strip steak and the chicken pot pie. SOOOOOO good!!! I am officially obsessed with the chicken pot pie - it's a frequent special at Killarney's and is truly exceptional. (For those interested - it's not like the usual pot pie you are used to... it's done in a pie crust, very rustic looking, and has a mushroomy, brown gravy sauce inside. Sublime!) We love this place and it's one of our go-to's in town. I'm not sure how an Irish pub ended up having the best dumplings but they're our favorite, with the competition wings. The tuna tacos are also delicious, nice and rare and done right! Servers are nice, one visit the food wasn't up to par and they immediately took care of it for us. We went to The Killarney on Friday night for the first time. We had a group of 8,and i couldn't have been more impressed with how everything had gone. Everyone we interacted with from the hostess, to our waitress, people who brought the food out were great! Everyone was in a great mood (or at least faked it really well), they were super welcoming, and despite being slammed with customers were able to keep turning food and drinks out in a seamless manner. Every item we ordered was very good/great! The wings were phenomenal!!! (I wish I had made them my dinner instead of just getting a small order to try). Also of note was the Fish and Chips -- they definitely did themselves proud with this rendition of an Irish Pub staple. Burgers and salads were solid as well. They were out of the Killarney Rolls as an appetizer which sounded great -- hopefully we get to try them next time. Went here for dinner last night. It was very good and we plan on going back again before we go back home. My husband and I had the butternut squash soup and the Pub Club. Both were excellent. The soup was homemade. The chicken in the Pub Club was packed with Smokey grilled flavor and very tender, not dry. My daughter had the fish and chips. Again, excellent. She got an ample portion of delicately fried, very crispy fish. The coating was just enough to create a crunch to the fish which highlighted the fish and not overwhelmed with batter. We go to Okemo every year and, I must confess, that we have been staying away from Killarney because we thought the food was just average. Well that has changed this year. They have stepped it up a few notches. Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. We are looking forward to going back. read more
