I had the Greek Eggs for breakfast, which is a delicious combination of Greek spices, potatoes, sausage and other yummy treats. Toast comes with it (sadly not gluten-free), but you need to order and home fries, etc. I like that. You pay for what you want, not some inflated plate of extras. Note: you won't see the Greek Eggs on the printed menu. Ask for the specials. Greek Eggs are always there. My wife loved the raisin French toast. She said that it did not need syrup. I arrived at 8am after doing laundry, on sunday sept 23 rd . Ordered 2 eggs over, homefries, rye toast and hash. It was tge worst breakfast i ever had in my 67 years. Coffee was good , but rest nah. My adolescent daughter at 15. Her second try cooked a better breakfast. . Homefries stuck together burnt, the has was like served on sweet potatoe skin. We're always on the lookout for a good diner for breakfast. In the Berkshires for a wedding, we checked the Yelp ratings and they did not disappoint. This may be the smallest diner we've visited (one of them, at least) but it makes up for that in quality and attention to the customers. A few booths and a few tables on the right, a half dozen stools at the counter, and the magic shop along the left wall. There's a bit of counter / bench, a sink, a prep area, a cooktop, and a grill. It's clean, efficient, and full of friendly people (staff and locals). The breakfast menu is simple: eggs, pancakes, French toast, omelettes, and the usual sides. We got 2 eggs over easy, one with bacon, one with sausage, home fries, and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly (they look more done in the photo but were nicely runny) and the bacon was crisp and smoky. I didn't get to try my be wife's sausage, but (a) that itself says something and (b) she said it was really good, not the "supermarket" grade that some places serve. Shelley's Kitchen is, first of all, CLEAN! Major renovations have been done without the loss of the ambiance that accompanies an old time diner. You'll never find a sticky ketchup bottle there. Shelley herself is a wiz on that griddle! Your food arrives hot and as you ordered it. Someone, usually Shelley, always asks if your food is to your liking and she remembers a remarkable amount of information as to who likes which foods cooked a certain way. I am awe stricken by her talent. The food choices are quality diner fare. Fresh, clean, well cooked and just what one would expect in a quality diner. Simple comfort food, accompanied by friendly and professional staff. The customers seem like family there. One gets the feeling of coming home when one steps through the door. We went there for a family breakfast based on the online reviews. My granddaughter said it was the best omelette she's ever had. The blueberry pancakes were good. My mom's turkey sandwich was very good. THE COFFEE WAS NOT GOOD. This is an old diner and I don't think it has been cleaned properly since it opened. They use the old jars with the pour caps on top of them for sugar. I had to search three different tables to find one of the sugar jars that was halfway clean to pour sugar in my coffee. The other ones I looked at were just gross. They don't need to have a remodeled restaurant, but just clean the restaurant that you have. read more
