This is a great place in the middle of town to grab some breakfast or lunch. The parking in GB can get limited especially on the weekends, but there are parking options all around. You have to walk through either a front door or back door to get to the main door of the restaurant. The back door has other restaurants near it. You will need to walk down to the other end. When you walk in there is seating to the left and right side of you. They have booths and tables. They serve breakfast all day, which is a huge plus. They have a great variety of different foods and drinks that you can choose from. The boozy milkshakes sounded good! It was very busy when my son and I went and although it took a few minutes for someone to come over to us, the service was great and the food came out in a good amount of time. We ordered the soup of the day - broccoli cheddar, the schnitzel bacon jam sandwich, the grilled vegetable salad, and a burger. Everything we ordered was good, but nothing was a standout. The schnitzel sandwich was tasty, but I wish the bacon jam was a little sweeter, less tangy. The grilled veg salad was good but not delicious. Such a lovely place and funky atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Service was quick especially for a busy Saturday morning. A great assortment of teas and coffees. My husband had an iced mocha which had chunks of beautiful dark chocolate in it. Not too sweet. I had a London Fog which was the best I've ever had. My custom omelette was perfectly cooked with such good toast! I love that they offer healthy salad option to home fries although I saw on another table the home fries look amazing. We came in for brunch around 10am on a weekend morning and had no problem getting a seat. The server was super friendly and the food came out quick. After a short wait which gave us the time to look at the menu, we were seated and ordered. Service was quick and friendly. I'm picky about restaurant food because I love cooking and usually prefer my own meals. When I do go out, I want something that's either different or at least as good as what I make at home--and this place blows me away every time. Their burgers easily surpass any I've ever made myself. It's consistently as good as every other time I've gone. It's a small spot, but the staff is warm and welcoming, and the prices are more than fair. I honestly wish I had shared this review sooner--I've probably recommended them to at least 20 people already. Discovered GB eats after we asked for recommendations from a waitress at a different restaurant, & we opted to have dinner here. While it wasn't our first choice for dinner that night, I was pleasantly surprised by our dining experience! To start, the menu here is extensive, providing all day breakfast favorites as well as more savory lunch and dinner options. I opted for The Basic (2 eggs, sausage patties, mixed greens, and sourdough toast) and honestly this was a lot of food for $10.99. The food itself wasn't mindblowing or life changing by any means, but it was decent! And it was exactly what I needed since I wasn't super hungry. My boyfriend ordered the steak frites, and it also was decent. The steak had a bit of a hamburger-y taste to it, but could be masked by the onions. Definitely have to commend them for their fresh OJ though - it had the perfect amount of sweetness! Overall, the food is pretty decent for cafe/diner food, and the servers were kind. Its located inside a big commercial retail building at 284 Main and shares that address with a number of other restaurants. We walked in for a meal shortly after 12, and the place was pretty crowded. Most of the main dining room was full, most of the counter seats were taken, as were most of the tables in the back of the dining room. We were offered a choice of two counter seats and a table in the back which we accepted. We ordered a waffle ($9 plus a $1 compote add on), Chili Rancheros ($13), and an iced coffee ($3). My Chili Rancheros was one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in a very long time. It included two sunny side up eggs, toasted corn tortillas, house-made beef chili, white cheddar, black beans & corn, avocado, salsa and sour cream, served with home fries or mixed greens. I knew it would be a filling dish, so I passed on the home fries and convinced myself I was going healthy with the mixed greens. The eggs, the chili, the corn tortillas, avocado, and salsa worked so well together, It was freaking delicious! Service was fine, and one odd thing that should be mentioned is the location of the restroom. You have to get a key on a wooden stick from the cashier, then leave the restaurant and walk down the hall toward the movie theater to find their two bathrooms on the left. Then you'll either return the key to the hostess, or pass it over to the next person in line, with the expectation that they will return it. Bottom line is that the food, atmosphere, menu, and pricing are all very good, and contributed to our very positive lunch experience. read more
