Menu had lots of variety and the dessert specials were to die for. Everything was delicious - highly recommend the calamari appetizer and the complimentary bread was fantastic. I just about licked my dinner plate clean (get the duck breast)! Friends loved the fried chicken and the salmon. Wine list was great and service was wonderful.

Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

There was fun live music and a very chill atmosphere- staff were incredibly friendly and laid back. Only negative was there did not appear to be A/C on and there was a smoky haze from the kitchen, but propping open the door helped a bit. The menu was surprisingly expensive end unique including homemade pasta - huge props to the vegan and GF options - our friend who has celiac was able to eat and had many choices! Everything was fantastic, though we missed having a sauce (ranch or sour cream) for our disco fries. The coolest menu was the cocktail and mocktail menu - so many drink options, tons on tap and apparently drinks to go?! This is definitely a place to try for a fun cocktail!

They have such a great menu and many drinks available. We got the potstickers to share and they were really unique and very yummy. The burger was also fantastic and gone in minutes!! And the pastas were delicious as well. The Charlie Brown IPA was also great but they have an extensive list of drinks. There are vegan and gluten free options as well. Id highly recommend coming with a group or even solo and enjoying the place!

If you stay here you get to use the amenities at the Waterside Spa for free during your stay. It's a 14 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. You can order room service from the restaurant if you're into that but I recommend walking up Partition Street for food and shopping. I liked waking up early, getting a quick bite from their continental breakfast in the lobby, and then heading down to their wooden walkway to get closer to the waterfall under the bridge. The walls are kinda thin and the restaurant is very meh but overall a great relaxing experience. You can even leave your car in the parking lot after you checkout if you still want to do things locally.

Actually, it's been there for 11 years. Perfect location. Just off the main area, but within walking distance to town. If you do stay here, try to get a room that faces the waterfall. Also, take the wooden walkway down to the base of the falls. We started out our morning doing so, and it was quite scenic. The rooms are big, but the walls are paper thin. Expect to hear chatter, like we experienced at 6am. Continental Breakfast was abundant with muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. -The Waterside Spa- My wife signed us up for a Couples Massage, in the middle of the afternoon. But we headed over early. Great place to lie out on the deck to catch some rays and relax. Take a soak in one of their small pools or try the sauna if you dare (at one point it was 190 degrees) The massages were nice, however the "Hot Stone" one was a little too gentle for me. You can actually spend all day here. They have a lot of places to nest, as well as a cafe. Just a 3 minute car ride. -Blackbarn Restaurant- Connected to the hotel, with the same stunning views and a great interior is "Blackbarn" After reading about the amazing and award winning chefs, I was excited to eat here. But disappointment quickly took over. My chicken tasted like it was marinated in vinegar, and the Vegetable Lasagna was made in a microwave. We ordered 2 desserts that we sent back. The pastry chef needs to be fired. This restaurant sucks.

It's unassuming and as original a menu as you can get within the burger genre. The vegheads in our party had to settle for grilled cheese and fries, because that's literally all they have without meat except for the three bean veg burger, but they were EXCELLENT. The meat-eater really liked his Yard Burger, which was a ton of stuff piled on top. But you can also get just a plain hamburger and a plain cheeseburger, nothing else added! The bread and buns were really fresh. The vibe here is industrial chic, but I think this is unaffectedly so and perhaps unintentional. This location is squirreled into a kind of shotgun-shack retail space, very narrow -- just enough room for one layer of seats opposite the counter and kitchen, so you can see all the action. No frills, but not shabby at all. This location has entrances front and back, which was good for us and allowed more light than you might expect to come in. Excellent restrooms. We quite enjoyed it and wished we'd had the appetite for shakes. Some unusual items: first off, they have a lambburger. Lamb is fabulous or at least it was before I was made into a veghead. It's really great they offer it. The other great unique item was Harney and Sons ICED TEA in a bottle, which I've never seen outside of Millerton NY (where Harney's is located.) One of us had the black tea, the other green tea. It was not overly sweetened, and was just really high quality. I'm not sure I've ever quite had an iced tea from a bottle quite this good. The staff were also wonderful. All in all such a pleasant experience we are now going to plan our travels up and down the Northway with this place in mind, as long as we have a carnivore in the party.
