    Half of my onion soup...sorry
    Mary T.

I came here for the first time and will probably be my last. Our merry little group mostly ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was impressive when it arrived but the crab cake was mostly bread. Since this is a seafood restaurant, I expected better. One member of the group ordered the seafood fried platter...it looked typical. The menu was mostly fried foods. The best part was the onion soup. It was flavorful and delicious. I know my phone is supposed to eat first but I dug in before realizing I hadn't taken a shot. Sorry folks but it looked like what all French onion soups look like. They only had one waitress who had to take care of everybody and I wonder if maybe that was why the bar was closed which was also disappointing. The restaurant is small and looked dated. The waitress was very nice.

This is where we go for fresh whole lobsters as a family in Kington! Call ahead to ask when the fresh lobsters will be in, and make reservations! It's not a fancy place, and they used to have outdoor seating during COVID. The parking lot is massive, so no issues there, find yourself upstairs to the dining area. You'll hit the bar first with the game playing, and grab a table to sit amongst locals (much older crowd) having an early dinner with their friends, some on dates, etc. the key here is to order the fish special ($35-40) or the whole lobster (approx $70), and a lot of wine. It's just a nice quaint place, no frills, good service, and massively poured wine. To all- This is not fine dining so do not expect fine dining. This will not be the best seafood you ever had (esp if you're coming from NYC or Boston). this is Kingston New York- a local place with friendly folks.

My friend went to this diner for Father's Day today and they found out this place is cockroaches everywhere. They are not coming back.

Nasty place ever eating at my friends trying to celebrate Father's Day this came into their soup. I'll send in restaurant impossible in. And health inspectors

Amanda was the first face to greet us, and she is so sweet and welcoming. The restaurant has such a great, friendly vibe. Bonus points for the spacious parking, which makes getting in and out completely stress-free. The food highlights: The Bread Basket: Not your average starter! It comes with bread, pita, and an amazing hummus that rivals my own mother's. Plus, fried dough that my daughter polished off instantly. Burrata Board: Super unique, fun presentation, and totally delicious. Main Courses & Kids: The kids sliders and fries were a massive hit with my daughter. My chicken and eggplant over pasta was phenomenal and tasted so fresh. Dessert: The chocolate lava cake was the perfect, rich ending to a great dinner. We left totally full, happy, and leftovers for tomorrow from the generous portions. It is a complete turnaround from how it used to be under the old owners. Five stars all the way, highly recommend!

They have a lot of seating and a good menu price range. My favorite thing about the menu is that they have duck fat fries! If you never had your French fries fried in duck fat then you are missing out!!! Now I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. I highly raved about this place but the last time I came it was such a disappointment. Our waitress though very friendly was not very attentive. We couldn't find her when we needed things and when we asked for things she didn't bring them. Now I'm sure she was busy and we never complained but that mixed with the fact that our food was just alright made me drop it a few stars. Also the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't the best, including the glassware. Now to be fair every other time I have come the food was fantastic. I typically always get the general tso fried chicken sandwich and I love it. So maybe it was an off day we all have those. I will go back again and see if they redeem themselves! Also I just want to make mention the sandwiches do not come with duck fat fries you have to specifically ask for them to be the duck fat ones.

It's a huge space with a lot of room for regular and hibachi tables, with modern decor. Service is very friendly and consistent which is not always the case with these kinds of places. They had an issue with one of the vents while we were here, however they quickly fixed it. Just needed to leave the back door open for a bit. Drinks were on the sugary side which is typical; my mai thai was good however I couldn't do 2. Soup and salad were good. Chef was one of the better hibachi chefs I've gotten. Wish they flipped shrimp instead of veggies for an appetizer, but hey, recession. More importantly than the presentation and show (which was good), they did a really good job with the food. Steak was perfectly cool if a bit over seasoned. Scallops were seared better than I've had at a lot of fancier restaurants. Massive portions too when the veggies, noodles and rice were factored in too. Of course my food got switched at home, and I got a fuckton of chicken instead of my steak. I mourned this, however will survive to return again.

The restaurant layout is a little eccentric, but cute in a erratic way. There was the restaurant, an alcove, and a back patio. We sat in the alcove. We ordered the lamb ragu, which was very hearty and filling. I also ordered the pasta with seafood, which had heaping amounts of seafood. I think all were pretty fairly priced, considering the quality. The waitress we had was amazing. She helped us get our kid settled and knew exactly what she needed.
