Our tour guide Remo recommended Kinsley to us. When we walked in there was nobody there because they just opened at noon. The young man asked "do you have a reservation" we said no we don't, he said that's ok, we just opened. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He sat us in a corner sitting table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He brought us menus. Another couple came in and asked if they could do outside seating, he said no, not enough staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer goes ok well I have my two dogs with me. The young man said that is fine and in they came.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only waitress was busy while we were there. We got the fish n chips. It was delicious.

Super trendy spot in the heart of uptown Kingston. Stopped by for lunch with family and we loved everything! Service was a bit slow as they were short staffed, but we were understanding. We started with the side order of bread - a little steep at $10 for 4 pieces + butter but it was sooo good and just fresh out of the oven. We tried 2 cocktails and 1 mocktail - all had excellent flavors and were super refreshing. For our mains we had the smash burger, grain bowl + chicken, and lobster roll. The fries that came with the burger and lobster roll were seasoned nicely and had a nice crunch to them, but not overcooked. The burger and roll tasted fresh and had great flavor. Would definitely get again. The grain bowl was a good portion and was packed with various textures, which all came together nicely with the green goddess dressing! Definitely will be back!

During our first trip to the Hudson Valley, my partner recommended we go here though we were staying at an B&B close-by. Food: 3/5 Meh, for the price (see bill below), I was content but not particularly elated. Though, we got a good spread. Our favorite parts were the miso salad, nicely dressed and textural experience, and mushroom tacos. The tacos were flavorful and a nice vegan app to start the night. The rest was okay. Service: 3/5 When we entered, and left, there weren't many diners which should have been a sign. But, we stayed. Sadly, due to the large space, and we being place by the door, not by the kitchen or staff, we often were waiting to catch the sole server's attention for anything. Outside of the delayed response, it was disappointing that our server's warm-ness dissipated everytime they engaged our table. All in all, I won't make an effort to go back. There are other places in the area that we had a better dinning experience with. However, the decor was quite beautiful.

Unfulfilled potential. Sadly... The restaurant is so cute, well designed and has a wonderful whimsical energy with some eclectic design elements like records on the walls and huge statement paintings. Service was kind and professional. No comments there: Sadly the food did not live up to expectations. The beet salad lacked flavor, the beets were delicious but the grain toast and cheese didn't add much. The rigatoni al pomodoro looked great but lacked flavor. The only half highlight was the smashburger with a double patty and matchstick fires was pretty good. Cocktails are creative overall. Would recommend for a quick bite and drinks but if you're looking for a true culinary experience, this is not the place

The ambience cannot be beat with beautiful retro-modern pine interiors with vintage LP covers and big green plants anchored by a huge beautiful fireplace with velvety blood red couches. Not sure what their playlist was but I love it. You feel like you're in NYC but the air smells good and people are less tired. The food is delicious, albeit on the pricey side. Get the mushroom tacos.

The food was delicious, but I only had the branzino and elote. Not a traditional Elote but I think I enjoyed that- something a little different (I love elotes and can eat them everyday). The branzino's skin was so crispy and at the same time easy to eat and not tough. The flavor was absolutely delicious and I would not normally eat cooked snap peas like this but I will be from now on. Our bartender, Luke, was awesome and so nice. We loved our drinks and our time at the hotel Kinsley restaurant.

We enjoyed the Figgy chicken sandwich (fig jam, plentiful greens, cheese and chicken, bun could have been better quality) with salad (pretty fresh), and the Caesar chicken sandwich with fries. The server (owner?) was very friendly and explained the menu, saying specifically that the chicken sandwiches are made to order. There were only two other occupied tables on a Saturday afternoon and the food took a little while to come out (not very bad but not super fast). It also seems like a place that should be crowded but wasn't. Coffee was self service. They also had a pumpkin pie in a plastic container (didn't look homemade) in the front. There's a little children's play area in the back. And the unisex bathroom was very large. It's located on a street with lots of shops and other eateries (pizza etc).

Our waitress was very nice, really chill, checked in once but if we had flagged her over I'm sure she would have been attentive more but we just didn't need anything. We ordered two different versions of their chicken sandwiches and they both were amazing! I ordered the club and substituted out for the Big Mac sauce, it was ridiculously delicious! The owner/chef I believe came over after our food was served which was really nice to check in and offered some future suggestions that we'll be sure to take her up on. The food was cooked to order, super fresh and a lot of details that made it a perfect bite! Cute place with a variety of seating options, the old brick work pops through in some places which adds a really nice historic charm to the place. We'll definitely be back to give a few more menu items a try!

The decor, from the booths to the lampshades, seem like they haven't changed in decades and are in excellent condition. The tables have tops that have obviously been replaced at some point, as they aren't the expected laminate, but otherwise it's like going back in time. We were looking for a traditional breakfast place open on a weekday (rather than a bagel shop or a place that only sells breakfast sandwiches), and this fit the bill. Service was efficient and attentive. They have a large array of menu items, but we both chose to get the breakfast burrito, without the meat. There was a bit too much potato inside for our taste, but others may prefer it that way. The side of salsa that came with it was delicious and made up for any lack of seasoning when we removed the salty meat. We would return when looking for a traditional diner with a large variety of choices.

It's located on such a charming street, and stepping inside felt like walking into an elevated Barnes & Noble straight out of a Harry Potter movie. There are endless shelves of books across every genre, cozy seating throughout, and the perfect atmosphere to spend hours browsing or reading. The coffee was just as wonderful as the space. I wasn't sure what to order, so the barista recommended a drink and was incredibly accommodating with my many requests. I can't have too much milk or syrup, so I basically gave them a complicated custom order, and they made it exactly to my liking without hesitation. I also ended up buying one of the chocolate bars they had at the counter and turns out it was $20!!!! As a tourist, I had no idea it was a well known local chocolate brand with a factory nearby, so that was a fun surprise. This is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down. I'd love to come back, grab a coffee, spend the entire afternoon reading, and just soak in the comforting smell of books and fresh coffee. Such a cozy, magical spot that's well worth visiting!
