Fantastic! Great steak. Great chocolate cake for desert. In the heart of Kingston it was a fabulous experience for road weary travellers. We needed a simple good meal. Such a lovely, kind hostess, waiters, and owner. Highly recommended.

Chops does excellently on the gluten free front: they understand the issue and are sincere with people who ask questions. On top of that the food is impeccable, their service and presentation are old school, and they honor the privacy of their customers. Also: there is an elevator and wheelchair access for those who cannot make the climb up six steps of the front entrance. So if you're worried about access, worry no more -- there's easy access and lots of space.

The butter garlic flank steak flavor was to die for, loved that it was tender, but I didn't like that it was very fatty. They were very accommodating. Mandi was our amazing waitress. My friends enjoyed the ribs wings that they had on the appetizer menu, it satisfied their desire for barbecue ribs. I usually don't like salmon when I eat out, but theirs was not dry nor was it flavorless. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Came here for my wife's birthday heard about it through Yelp saw they had great reviews on Yelp and Google, very nice old building. Our waitress Yvonne was very friendly and knowledgeable the owner was very friendly. The atmosphere was quiet on a Monday the bar is really nice we ordered bang bang shrimp which was delicious I ordered the 20 oz Ny strip which was delicious my wife had the grilled salmon she loved it. We met a lovely couple who we shared a good conversation and a lot of laughs with that it was just a perfect night from beginning to end finished off with the delicious chocolate cake and coffee and Baileys. I would highly recommend Chops for a quiet dinner or a group, we plan on going back. Thank you

Great steak and excellent martinis. Was there on a Sunday night and we had the whole place to ourselves. Decor is a bit dated.

One of the best restaurants in Kingston for American or continental food. Very good quality in food, service, and decent ambiance.

The atmosphere was calm, breezy, and had that laid-back summer night feel that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Food: 4.5/5 We kicked off with a couple of appetizers, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The pigs in a blanket were way more elevated than your average bar snack--wrapped well, seasoned with everything bagel spice, and super flavorful. A fun and unexpected highlight. The real star of the apps though? The watermelon and burrata salad. Juicy, fresh, light--it was the exact kind of dish you want on a summer night. Refreshing and satisfying all at once. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi but asked to add salmon for an extra protein boost (which they happily did). My husband got the seared tuna, and I'll admit--major food envy. His plate looked stunning and well-balanced, and he was thoroughly impressed. Service: 5/5 Everyone was so kind here. The staff checked in regularly, didn't rush us, and made sure we had what we needed without being overbearing. They also didn't blink when I asked to customize my entrée a bit, which I really appreciated. It made the whole meal feel even more relaxed and accommodating. Overall: A lovely spot to close out our trip. The food had thoughtful touches, the river view was peaceful, and the service was excellent. I'd definitely return--especially on a warm evening when you're craving something light, fresh, and a little special.

This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

The young man said that is fine and in they came. The only waitress was busy while we were there. We got the fish n chips. It was delicious.

However, if you can look past that, or even see it as part of the charm, you will love this place! The fresh pasta is unlikely any other in the area. The portions are HUGE! And while we were prepared to wait as the restaurant was full and the staff limited- everything came out quickly and perfectly cooked. While it's on the pricier side, for the ingredients and freshness I'd say it's very very fair. The waitress was an angel, offering dessert and a happy birthday song to our table. Dishes that came highly recommended from our table were the meatball app, porcini mushroom cacio e Pepe (though on the saltier side) and the saffron cream sauce angel hair dish with scallops. Another at our table loved the lamb ragu! I did leave a voicemail reservation but checked in the day of and it seemed like they may not have had it- maybe something to note. Went up to the rooftop & what a nice dinner we had. We decided to split the GEM Apple Salad(to die for) Strega Pinsa(pizza,w/mozz,ricotta,italian sausage, broccoli rabe) so frickin good, and some Thai wings(my least favorite, missing the flavor for me a little) I ordered a vodka drink called Strega "something", lol, can't think of the name but it had mint in it and very tasty. Of course our fat asses ordered the 3 Gelato flavors, and ate it all!!! It was so good. The best thing about the whole thing was Dillon, our server, who could take everything we dished out & gave back to us,2 50something divas, we enjoyed bantering with him, and over all, he was super gracious & sweet.
