The service was friendly! They are a smaller space but have 3 separate dining rooms so we only had one server and we waited an hour just to place our orders, but the food came out hot and quick! The portions are HUGE, so the heftier prices make sense! The taste is good - but maybe I'm not used to Venice style Italian so the flavors were a little weird for me. Everything was so rich and decadent and a little on the sweeter side - which was just too much for me even on an empty stomach. You will def be bringing leftovers home ! I would coke again and try different dishes and dessert. Btw - all their pasta is homemade too!

    Delicious spinach raviolis and Lasagna.

Not like any restaurant I've been to. We made our reservation via text. But I got the sense there was no list. When we arrived for our early dinner we were surprised at the piles of produce and items stacked on bar stools. Odd. But once we were seated by the sweetheart hostess we knew something special was happening. The food was superb. We had spinach ravioli and the lasagna with a house salad. Big portions. Most delicious meal. Oh there was a sign asking to wait to be seated. It was like eating at someone's home. Will return soon. Bravo Chef Graziano. My advice get there early to enjoy the crazy atmosphere. Again. Most delicious food.

This restaurant really did impress me. Only 17 yelp reviews, all good, this eclectic menu looked interesting, had to try it during a Sunday stroll through the Kingston waterfront area. Family run, there's a small dining room across from an open kitchen, however we ate in the brick alleyway which leads to a backyard garden area. Great music was playing (Steely Dan, Bread...) but the food was the star! Tuna tartare presented beautifully with capers cucumber olives and drizzle of balsamic was excellent. The sea scallops in a brandy cream sauce as an appetizer was delicious and decadent, it took a lot of restraint not to lick the bowl clean. It was well complemented with a fresh, crisp frisée salad with pine nuts. A full hour and 20 minutes from my house however I know I'll be back, hopefully often!

The sugar snap pea soup was delicious, accented with lemon oil and fresh herbs. The sliders (great presentation, even the buns were grilled) were generous and juicy, but they needed some acid or sauce - the bacon jam was not very noticeable. Our previous meal was a generous portion of salmon, but again no sauce/seasoning on it or the lentils, very bland. Tagliatelle bolognese was generous, and we have enjoyed the hot fresh berry cobbler a couple times. The cocktails are balanced and interesting, and they have a simple but good wine selection. (Note to management: for a restaurant of this capacity, more than just one handicapped parking spot would be helpful!!) Both the spacious dramatic interior and the porch overlooking the Rondout make for an enjoyable setting. But what REALLY makes us come back is Megs who always knows what we need before we know that we need it. She is a true professional and delivers amazing service and hospitality.

But the truly beyond-horrible service made this an absolutely dreadful experience. The first thing the waitress did was take our drink orders. The person before me orders a Coke, and she says they have Pepsi products. So he orders a Pepsi. I order a Mountain Dew (a Pepsi product), and she says she doesn't know if they have it. How do you not know if they have it? But, to keep things moving and easier, I just get a Pepsi. The rest of the table orders their drinks and waits. And waits, and waits. 45 minutes later people had eaten their food, and everyone at the table is still waiting for their drinks. Two different waitresses said 3 different times the waitress says, "it's coming". I finally got fed up and left before our time was completely done because I was on the verge of saying something that probably would've gotten me arrested. Talking to people outside after, apparently, the drinks did finally come after getting a 3rd waitress and an additional 15 minutes. And they were watered down.

So from the get-go you sort of know that you're in for an experience. There are many breakfast options, including eggs, quesadillas and meat pies. The lunch specials included a chicken curry and rice dish. I picked a shrimp and bean wrap which was very good, but a bit pricey at $15. The displays are an eclectic mix of local honey, hemp products, pottery, seeds, vintage and second hand items. Instead of tipping the staff, customers are asked to place cash in a donation jar to help local charities. Likewise, donations are requested in exchange for vegetables sourced from local farms. The store also has a bright orange bicycle rickshaw out front that can deliver you to your parked car or nearby home for free. Since I was parked right outside, I declined an offer of a free ride. It is a unique store which the staff described as a collaboration of a number of businesses. I've noticed it for years but this was the first time I've set foot through the door. Whatever they're doing is working and visitors feel welcome.

We were looking for breakfast on our way from Hudson to Woodbury Commons last Sunday, and Good Eat'n came up as a highly rated option. Good Eat'n isn't trying to impress you with flashy decor, and I think that's part of its charm. The space is clean, comfortable, and has clearly made some updates from the previous establishment. What makes the place memorable though is the hospitality. Joe was behind the counter when we arrived, greeting us like old friends, introducing us to a couple of regulars and his server, and inviting us to sit wherever we'd like. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the menu, but it was a straightforward breakfast menu. We ordered an egg sandwich with sausage and a stack of pancakes with sausage. In my opinion, the portions were very generous, especially the size of the sausage and the pancakes (check out the picture). When Joe noticed I was slowing down toward the end of my meal, he actually started cheering me on to finish--and even gave me a hug afterwards when I just couldn't do it. My only critique was how salty the sausages were. Other than that, good food, good people, and good vibes.
