    Chicken salad everything bagel
    Michael R.

I got the chicken salad on an everything bagel and to be honest, it was just alright. It was lacking some flavor, like something was missing. It was a good quick to-go meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get a bagel from here.

Delicious bagels, coming from a NYC girly. We got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich on sesame, and a BLT with jalapeño cream cheese (TRY IT!!), and both were so delish. Staff was friendly, food arrived quickly. Highly recommend if you're craving a bagel :)

Ordered the Oy Vey (without cucumbers) and was not disappointed! The bagels are delicious and quite large. They do have quite a bit of rush in the morning so I ordered ahead online and my bagel was ready before I arrived. My one suggestion for them is to perhaps choose the pickled onions or tomatoes (but not both). I actually thought the pickled onions were really creative but the bagel runs the awful risk of becoming too soggy with the addition of tomatoes cucumbers, and pickled onions.

Stopped in real quick on my way to Kaaterskill Falls. I have to admit the coffee was amazing here. I will definitely stop by for the coffee alone. My only mistake was buying a small instead of a large. People are friendly worth the stop.

I'm showing you the last four bites of my delicious don dada sandwich on an everything bagel. Only downside is that they ONLY have bagels, nothing else. Sandwiches were ready quickly, service was friendly! Establishment is pretty light on seating - this is very much a quick eat & go type place. Coffee was fresh, too. Great work, Goodies.

I love this place. Great food, great coffee, and great people. I'm really looking forward to going back.

I order bagels from here to make at home and they're always good ... this was the first time I ordered sandwiches on bagels to go. Prior to my 8 hour road trip I placed and paid for an order online. Half out into my drive I go to eat my bagel and there is bacon on it. A waste of my time, money and a waste of food... which is the saddest part. I called and they are going to reimburse me but this is very disappointing for someone who doesn't eat meat. Not sure why they just added bacon but here's to my trip starting off badly.

Food and drink are ok, and very pricy. Not many choices around this area. This may consider ok since there isn't any choices.

I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. I wish I could bundle this place up and ship it to New Haven because I'd be eating one of those sandwiches every week. As for everything else: The service was great. The atmosphere laid back and funky. Everything was reasonable priced. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Joust!

Inside, it's all high-tops and a clear view of the tanks cranking out their beer. Even though I've never been a beer drinker, I didn't mind coming to Subversive B's. Their online menu looked promising especially their vegetarian options. Though it wouldn't hurt if they threw in some seafood options too- but hey. I aimed for the Mediterranean Platter but I was told they "were all out". Grilled cheese the way I noticed online? Nope. Not in here. At this point, I didn't know how else to feel but resorted to their sweet potato+black bean tacos with red onions and Cotija. They slapped actually. Hubs tore into his buffalo wings and these Bavarian pretzels that were ridiculously soft and addictive. He washed it down with an ale, I stuck with a canned Paloma that hit harder than expected. The service is nice. The menu situation? Kinda irritating. Between the "we're out" moments and the website vs. reality mismatch, it's hard not to feel a little side-eyed about it. But the vibe, outdoor lights, beer tanks if you're a beer drinker, gravel under your feet, it's got charm.

The person I asked seemed to think this was a bizarre question but ultimately decided it was fine, as long as I could find a seat. Her tone would indicate that this was a near impossible task despite the shop having a population of exactly 6, but I managed to find one since I can identify what several empty chairs look like. I found it strange that I was waiting there for about 10 minutes, especially since the coffee I ordered was iced, but found it far more concerning that I was dumb enough to wait an additional 10 minutes after that before investigating. It turns out that there had been a cup of coffee poured, placed at the counter far from my seat, and in a position that was completely obstructed from my vision. It appeared to be iced as well. I asked if it was my coffee (since no one called my name, and if they did they didn't call it a second time) and was given "yeah" as an answer, presented in the manner one might respond to someone if they asked if we live on Earth. I had already sat for far longer than I intended to so I left, and luckily I was outside at this point because the coffee sucked and I was able to spit it out. I could have done that in the store too, but that would be impolite.

Gracie's is an elevated diner experience...all the breakfast and brunch things you could want, but up a couple levels from a classic greasy spoon diner. Also, before we get into the specifics, here are 2 words which would bring me in from just about anywhere: Donut menu. Yes, they make their own donuts here, and that's enough reason to stop in, take out, or worship at the front door. We got our donuts to go after the meal...The coffee was GREAT. Too often, coffee, which should be the opening star of a diner experience, can be flavorless, browned water. Here it was good. Bold as I needed it to be, and the perfect foundation for the rest of the meal. My next go-to if they have it brunch experience is biscuits. They have them...you can get a biscuit on its own or, heck, go for a mini biscuit basket! I live for a biscuit-forward establishment. The Full Breakfast (submitting biscuit or potatoes for the meat) would have been my choice, but I decided to roll my own and ended up with a biscuit, fruit cup, and side of Hash Browns. The biscuit was good, large, and perfect with butter and honey. They make the hash browns to order - large hash brown patties - and with 2 different orders of them at the table, one was overcooked, too brown, and not impressive...but the other was perfect and delicious...bordering on potato pancake territory in presentation and flavor. Our server was fantastic...we had a large party encompassing 3 different tables in the middle of a Sunday morning (On Easter no less), which is, of course, the busiest time of the week.
