Our original choice for a restaurant to dine at on a Monday evening was closed so we opted to have dinner at this pizzeria. Though the wait between ordering and receiving our cheese pizza approximated a 1/2 hour due to numerous phone in orders to go, we would not hesitate to return because their NY style pizza was delicious.

God bless you, Village Pizza, and please never change. You can read the reviews - the pizza is good. They're cash only. The owners close for like, a month every year, and that's always when I need a sub the most. Because I am here to evangelize the subs at Village. When I say I want a sub, what I mean is, I want a sub from Village. And what I mean by that is, give me all that shredded lettuce. Some might think I'm poking fun, but I assure you - nothing hits the spot like that soft bread and shredded lettuce. I don't know how they make it so balanced and minimally messy. I just know, when I need a sub, it's Village or nothin.

False advertising, 12' sub roast beef, $10 but total is $11.35, 15min wait unbelievable and it can't be busy at 12:35pm hardly any ppl in store and store phone silent, cash & or check only

The pizza was great - crispy, good sauce, good cheese, and the large is big enough for at least three people.

However they do deserve a five star rating because they are offering something different compared to any other place in Catskill. The place is called "The salad bar" however their sandwiches are just as good if not better than the salad. The ingredients are always fresh and I've never been disappointed. Prices are fair considering the quality and overall we need more places that are different and unique like this in the village. They have small cozy area for you to chill and enjoy your meal and the service is always quick and friendly. Many of the towns in the Hudson Valley have been revitalizing their downtown areas with great success but Catskill Village seems to be moving a lot slower compared to those other areas. The salad bar is one of those places that's helping it move forward.

Great vegetarian options and gluten free options for cakes. The blueberry olive oil cake and apple cake were both delicious, super moist and soft-- the crumbly top was delicious and not too sweet. The egg salad sandwich with arugula was very tasty-- the artisanal bread was fresh and the egg salad was so creamy and savory. It also comes on round milk bread. Love how the sandwiches come in half and full portions making it easy to try different ones. We also tried the curried carrot, sprouts, and cream cheese sandwich was equally delicious and fresh-- a great vegetarian option. The ham and Gruyère sandwich with sundried tomato aioli was excellent-- thick slices of ham and cheese, really well-balanced and satisfying. Friendly owner who makes these delicious sandwiches throughout the day. Can't wait to go back! There is a small round indoor table for seating for a few people but most of it is for take out, which we happily did.

You order at the register and take your very large portioned plates wherever you'd like to sit. There are quite a few baked goods right at the register which looked great but I restrained myself, this time. I ordered the 4 rib platter which came with two sides. I got the mac & cheese and pickled beets. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and had good flavor. They give you a side of BBQ sauce in case you wanted some. The mac & cheese seemed like it was baked which is a plus for me. The only drawback is that it needed a little more flavor. Maybe a sharper, more flavorful cheese would help. I just put some salt and pepper on it and that helped a ton. The pickled beets were as expected - and I love beets! The platter also comes with a mini cornbread LOAF! Seriously, it's a good size mini. It was delicious, slightly sweet, and contained corn kernels. Also, a side of sliced pickles come with the platter and any sandwich. We were warned that they were spicy today and that was the truth! It was a bit over $40 for so much good food. We had to box up some of the food and it can definitely feed another person. Also, service was friendly and fast. I'd come back to try more items - probably including one of those baked goods :)

I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. The atmosphere laid back and funky. Everything was reasonable priced. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Joust!
