My sister took me out to Woodstock and one of her purposes was that I try this restaurant. It is so charming and well put together. They have a beautiful porch lined with vines and twinkle lights where they serve dinner as well. The service was fantastic, just perfect. It felt homey and as if filled with nice people who clearly cared about your time with them. The food was phenomenal. Fresh, beautiful, delicious plates. We ordered the carrots (my favorite I think, loved the flavors), meatballs (some of the best I've ever had if not the best), and cabbage salad (very well done) first. All were great. I also had two of their house-made sodas, so fun and delicious. We ordered the special burger and the cabbage main. Both were fantastic. But oh my god this burger. I think it's the best I've ever had. This place has a lot of bests or nearly best ever for me. The burger had caramelized onion, delicious sauces, incredible American cheese and spicy mustard. The meet was juicy and so well seasoned. For dessert we got the butterscotch pudding/crème which was covered in a delicious caramel and fresh whipped cream topped with toasted coconut. I really enjoyed my experience here and won't forget it anytime soon. Highly recommend.

Everything was great here!! On our 4 day trip up here to Hunter, this was the best dinner we had!! Everything was beyond expectations! Atmosphere and ambiance was very nice and cozy! They have a full fireplace in one of the rooms. The food and service and was great!

Decided to go out of our way and try Cucina, as the menu looked good. We were happy we did! The restaurant is located within an old wooden home, with a spacious entryway, a bar straight ahead, and dining rooms to both the right and the left. The right-hand dining room has a very long dining table for large parties, or just to split parties at it. The ambience was, according to one of our party, "a funky, minimalistic vibe." The menu isn't large, but there is something for everyone. The fried squid appetizer was a big hit, and if you are a fan of tentacles, this one's for you. We had the small plate of parmesan and marinated olives with vin cotto, and the bread basket had several different options. All of the main dishes were good, and the flatbread pizzas were tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. Full bar, with a couple of beers, a nice wine list, and specialty cocktails.

Cucina holds a special place in my heart, and it's lovely to see it still going strong all these years later. Wayyy before my pre-Yelp years, Cucina always fit the bill as THE place to be for its smash-hit status when we'd visit Woodstock, NY every time. There were so many things to marvel when you came here: the old farmhouse structure, the wood flooring, the warm glow lighting, the different dining rooms, the food, cocktails and service. And because of all this, we never had major regrets and never forgot to return year after year. Plus now that we're in town almost every weekend, we revisited. If online booking sends you to 'the next available date'- call to try and snag a table the day of- that's what hubs did. Our starter salads were tasty. We sang the praises with our cocktail ingredients+ strength. But we weren't buzzing about the protein in each of our main plates. Hubs loved the creamy polenta and Broccoli rabe- but from where I sat, his pork chop wasn't cutting soft and looked stiff as a board and knew my husband wasn't a fan. My Quinoa and Roasted Veggies dinner was plentiful and extremely tasty- but the $12 (4)shrimp add-on, were rock hard also. For Cucina, this was catastrophic. I almost have a sense of a let-down. Mainly because the owner+chef have made a menu to treasure- offering seasonal and sensational food- all with an unforgettable Woodstock experience. I totally get it, these aren't the best of times for restaurants and many, have changed their methods and quantity. And on the Saturday night we came here, it was clear.

Cucina has a great staff and location at the entrance to woodstock. Unlike other woodstock restaurants cucina is open everyday so no need to guess. The food is consistent and very good. It's our "go to" when eating out.

All the yummy food you can imagine from designer pizza to salmon dishes. Great wine list and many beers I've never had! 6 of us and everyone was happy from our vegetarian to our meat only eater

What a cute restaurant in Woodstock!!! I've been to Sylvia's a couple times but am so happy to have switched things up and tried Cucina. We brought my friend here who is gluten-free and there were tons on options for everyone. The ambiance here is beautiful. It's almost like a chic Nancy Meyers fireplace. When you walk in there's an additional seating area adjacent to the bar which was packed when we left around 8pm. We started with some delicious drinks - the homemade sodas and the "Burt Venetian" we're especially good. We enjoyed the fried squid, rosemary fries, kale salad, chicken parm and butternut squash ravioli. Cucina really exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed our meal very much and will definitely be back during our next trip to Woodstock!

Fabulous. Everything was delicious and the waitstaff was great! We came here for dinner with a large group and they were so accommodating. I also enjoyed the ambiance and the place itself was cute. Now onto the food. Let's start with the bread - fresh focaccia bread with olive oil and salt. YUM! The apps we tried (meatballs, and calamari) were both were awesome, and the bolognese I had for my main dish was to die for! To finish off the meal, I had the salted caramel ice cream Sunday. This was the only dish that didn't wow me. It was too salty for me, but it was still good to try it. Overall, I had a great experience and I would come back!

My friends told me this is the best restaurant in Woodstock and I can see why. The food is stellar. We had a large party and shared many appetizers such as the meatballs, crispy squid, and a few salads. The meatballs were on top of polenta and I loved it. The crispy squid was fantastic and I loved the aioli it came with. For my main course, I was blown away by the spinach ricotta ravioli, butter, sage, Parmesan and pistachio gremolata. This is the best ravioli I've ever had! Buttery perfection, it was perfectly al dente and the pistachio gremolata was divine! Lovely atmosphere and lighting. Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is very loud unless you are in their smaller, quieter room, which we did reserve, but they gave our table to another party. We were very upset but felt management was sympathetic, professional and resolved the issue to our satisfaction. Lots of parking.

The Japanese clothing retailer is scarily on point and while Sharkie's isn't mentioned by name, if you know of any other prominent meatball merchants in the heart of Woodstock, please promptly let me know. My current go-to is the "Create Your Meatballs with Veggies Bowl." The roasted eggplant ($5.15 per scoop) is superb, especially with the default marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella ($2.58). You can't go wrong with the beef & pork or the turkey meatballs ($6.18 for 2 of the same kind). Chicken meatballs and chickpea vegan balls available too. The only downside is that it can get zoo-like at peak times, but the wait usually isn't too bad. Sharkie's has a bar and three tables so it's not huge. But the easygoing and helpful staff are standouts and handle the crowds with aplomb. Sharkie's has a little grocery store next door with a lot of local foods and frozen meatballs if you want to recreate the Sharkie's experience at home. Bring cash or a debit card for a discount!

We ordered the penne alla vodka, broiled salmon (which came with a heaping portion of fried rice and mashed potatoes), and the side of garlic bread. Based on the price of the garlic bread ($3.99), I thought it'd be just a piece or two on top of the pasta - but I was astonished to find out that it's the real deal, with slice after slice! The salmon was good and not too dry. The fried rice surprised me as an Asian dish in an Italian entrée, but the potatoes were creamy and yummy. But nothing in this meal could top the penne alla vodka - absolutely delicious. Full five stars! Servers were not overly attentive but professional, and the clean bathroom was a welcome sight!

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. The pollo al limone and gamberoni e fagioli were good, a little dry but not a deal breaker.
