Recommended by a local as his go to sandwich subshop. This place is divey but kind of cool. Services was good. 2 guys working a holiday weekend looked pretty busy. 1 at grill and the other taking orders and making cold subs. They had tons of interesting flavor combos posted with unique handwritten signage. A cooler with water and cans of soda, Coke products and a rack with chips on it. Sandwiches were good and meat was cut to order on my turkey sub. Only 4 stars because the rolls were a little dry.

I was going to joe beez sense the had just opened back in the old pappy and sons building. I use to frequent it at least 3x a month at the minimum. I moved away to California and when i came back joe beez had a new location on broadway (where it is now). I stopped in when i moved back this was mid 2016 and it was the same joe beez i remember. Well soon after i moved to NYC which was my plan when coming back to NY. Sense then i havent been there until today and i was telling my girl how amazing the sandwiches are and all the unique kinds they have. We order and get home to unwrap our sandwiches to see they were very different in appearance to start. We got 3 sandwiches... the balboa, the Herman munster and the chicken Caesar wrap. The steak on the balboa was so dry and felt like chewing a rubber tire. I remember way back in the the old shop getting that sandwich and it was so juicy it was dripping out when you'd take a bite. Not anymore! Dry isnt even the word. The Herman munster was sub-par at best and the bacon was so cooked it was basically petrified. The Caesar was the only okay one out of all 3 and even then it was just chicken, lettuce and dressing. The buns are completely different and terrible. They used to be over the top now they taste like Walmart roll. I would never go here again. I feel terribke for my girl as shes a chef and i hyped it up amd she was left still starving cause the meat was just bubblegum. $35 flushed down the toilet. Work of advice, if you havent been to joe bees in quite some time i would highly recommend to avoid it. They must have a new owner or something cause it's completely changed and in a every bad way possible.

Sadly, today was the last time we will be going to Joe Beez. After the last time, we said we would give it one more try for them to redeem themselves. Alas, it was not to be. The Jerry Garcia and the Big Daddy Kane were delicious sub rolls with barely any meat in them. Now, I love good bread but I didn't go for just bread. Too bad, Joe Beez has been our favorite spot for 15 years.

Finally made it to Joe Beez and it was very good. The menu was unique and the combinations of ingredients works! Well worth checking out.

Omg the best hoagies in Kingston ! I wanted a Italian sub and my bf said joe beez. Well as others said it has a large selection hanging on the walls , as well as will make changes on request without a blink . Good music too think easy alt top 40. I got a godfather and they had it in my hands in about a minute. So tasty and not hungry after this for sure. They do have a counter to the side with chairs and stools to eat there on this cold snowy day. The review saying no where to sit needs to come back. Do yourself a favor and try this place. On street parking is metered, go around the block and entrance to municipal lot located next to them is there.

We enjoyed the Figgy chicken sandwich (fig jam, plentiful greens, cheese and chicken, bun could have been better quality) with salad (pretty fresh), and the Caesar chicken sandwich with fries. The server (owner?) was very friendly and explained the menu, saying specifically that the chicken sandwiches are made to order. There were only two other occupied tables on a Saturday afternoon and the food took a little while to come out (not very bad but not super fast). It also seems like a place that should be crowded but wasn't. Coffee was self service. They also had a pumpkin pie in a plastic container (didn't look homemade) in the front. There's a little children's play area in the back. And the unisex bathroom was very large. It's located on a street with lots of shops and other eateries (pizza etc).

Our waitress was very nice, really chill, checked in once but if we had flagged her over I'm sure she would have been attentive more but we just didn't need anything. We ordered two different versions of their chicken sandwiches and they both were amazing! I ordered the club and substituted out for the Big Mac sauce, it was ridiculously delicious! The owner/chef I believe came over after our food was served which was really nice to check in and offered some future suggestions that we'll be sure to take her up on. The food was cooked to order, super fresh and a lot of details that made it a perfect bite! Cute place with a variety of seating options, the old brick work pops through in some places which adds a really nice historic charm to the place. This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

The atmosphere was calm, breezy, and had that laid-back summer night feel that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Food: 4.5/5 We kicked off with a couple of appetizers, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The pigs in a blanket were way more elevated than your average bar snack--wrapped well, seasoned with everything bagel spice, and super flavorful. A fun and unexpected highlight. The real star of the apps though? The watermelon and burrata salad. Juicy, fresh, light--it was the exact kind of dish you want on a summer night. Refreshing and satisfying all at once. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi but asked to add salmon for an extra protein boost (which they happily did). My husband got the seared tuna, and I'll admit--major food envy.
