    Matcha

Cute place with a lot of seating; space in the back has video games, too! Menu looks great and they have a small selection of treats--cookies and croissants, oh my! The matcha was the right color and tasted great, even without flavor. Which means it was mixed properly and quality matcha was used. Loved this and I will return.

We came here for breakfast this morning. Camp Kingston is nestled within the town and you have a wave of the regular and out of towners. I had a veggies burrito with the green salsa and sour cream. My food was fresh, really hot from after it was done being pressed. Both sauces worked with my veggies burrito. Cardamom Chai Tea latte was okay too. One of the popular food items u ordered it, he said it was delicious and would order again. In Camp Kingston, there is plenty of space to dine in. Towards the back, there is a mess hall, one of the rooms was small, chill vibe and had some small chairs and some arcades and games displayed. Menu items are clear, other items are snacks on the go. There's a shelf towards the mess with other items available. All payments accepted, parking can be tight outside however is doable. Staff is friendly, service is good, see you next time.

Love Camp Kingston for the coffee and the vibes! It's very shared work space friendly up in the front room but there are also two rooms in the back with arcade games and pool table. Something for everyone for sure! A few outdoor tables as well. Their matcha is my favorite in Kingston (and only $5 for a latte!). I've never had any food items aside from the pastry case (including Balthazar and little rye bake house) but my partner swears by their breakfast burrito. Feels very local friendly with the staff remembering peoples names as they filter in and out. Highly recommend!

My colleague and I were looking for a place to do some work after wrapping up a meeting. I stumbled across Camp Kingston. I liked the theme of the restaurant, and it looked like they had a nice snack and lunch menu. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. We arrived at around 11:30 and there was a handful of people in the main room that they call the mess hall. I ordered a chai latte and a cinnamon roll. My coworker got the mocha hot coffee with a chocolate croissant. The waitress was very helpful and polite. My chai was delicious savory and the cinnamon roll was also really tasty. Unfortunately, they weren't able to warm it for me before enjoying it. After I went to the restroom, I noticed that there were two other rooms where guests can eat, work, or have meetings with one another at the restaurant. Very nice sized establishment. This is definitely great place to gather with coworkers or friends. The bathrooms were really cute as they went along with the camp theme, and they also had one restroom that included a changing table for the parents on the go. Both restrooms were accessible to individuals who are in a wheelchair or are on crutches. However, there isn't currently an accessible entrance for someone with a wheelchair. My coworker and I stayed so long working that we decided to get lunch. I ended up getting the camp turkey hoagie with a red jacket apple cider. My coworker ordered the sambal tofu bahn mi. By this time, there was a bit of a wait due to the lunch rush, but it was worth it. They put potato chips on the camp Turkey hoagie. That just brought me back to middle school! And the flavor was quite nice with the dill, mint, and peppered relish. This place had great food, service, and music filling the space. I may come back again when I'm in town.

My brother was in the mood for some coffee and he found this little spot! It was cute, it had a good about of seating area. Saw people even doing some work there. They had some pastries. I got an iced mocha and was pretty good, he got a latte and really enjoyed it.

Cute interior and exterior. I am getting a bit tired of the counter to order, no service, and find your own table set up that almost every lunch place upstate is going with. I get why they do it but sometimes these places und up feeling like a kids space (guess thats why they call it camp). But all the counter staff were friendly and helpful. Food was really good. Loved the tofu banh mi and the turkey sandwich (it was a bit light on turkey). All the salads were great too. Campfire latte was also delicious.

b.overly_delicious @campkingston Kingston, NY: I've been hearing about crazy cafe, deli, bar, pinball space that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner and thought what a strange concept. Bar by night but breakfast in the morning . Finally, I made it over to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't what I imagined, although I'm not sure what I expected. This place was slammed for a weekday afternoon. Walking in gave me instant nyc coffee house vibes. Well themed around summer camp and the outdoors. Owner Sam said his concept came from his college days in Ithaca. The back rooms sport a pinball gallery and the other a pool table. The front has a full bar with a grab and go beverage cooler and a full service coffee bar with Balthazar pastries behind the case. I got an iced latte, a pecan sticky bun, and an prosciutto and pesto sandwich. Latte was solid enough and the pastry crispy with caramelized sugar. The sandwich came out on a Bread Alone baguette which had a crusty shell ther gave way to an airy interior. The fillings were light but high quality and tasty. With a strong cured meat and cheese, you don't need a lot. Prices are what you would expect in the new post-covid Kingston. I believe the coffee, sticky bun, and sandwich came to $28. Cool vibes and I like their merch/logo. I wouldn't mind killing a few hrs here. They rent the space for events, so check their schedule online. #kingston #camp #campkingston #coffee #hveats #eater #hvfoodies #hudsonvalley #ulstercounty #balthazar #breadalone #ulstereateriesunfiltered

What a wonderful little find. I had a small vacation in Kingston and this spot quickly became my favorite coffee spot over the days. Delicious cold brew, lattes, and chai. The baked goods are soft, light, and sooo flavorful. Plus, the staff is super friendly. The cafe itself is a throwback to some favorite camping memories -- nostalgic, vibrant, and fun! A must stop on any visit to Kingston!

I have not yet revisited Camp Kingston, but after my initial review, I was contacted by the owner. He was very receptive and responsive to my feedback, and he gave me some information to help me understand some of their procedures. Camp Kingston is a nice addition to Kingston- the inside is nicely designed and it's in a great location. I'm looking forward to going back again soon to try some of the food!

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Room to sit indoor or outdoor while you enjoy coffee and food. Big fan of the simple breakfast burrito (no meat) and the green sauce it came with on the side. Several pastries and breakfast parfait if you are looking for something else.

Little options: no decaf, only one alternative milk choice. I opted for the mocha and I will say it was delicious. I ordered a small and was given a large cup but she explained she ran out of small cups so it's a small size in a large cup. Not an issue, but all of it together left an unpleasant taste. Mocha was yummy, but not sure it was tasty enough for me to return to this unwelcoming space.

I asked for a bowl and she very abruptly expressed that she was only doing a limited menu today, no bowls. She could make an egg and cheese sandwhich and it would be 10 minutes. I said I was willing to come back and ordered the sandwhich. As I stepped away, I watched the woman behind the counter go back to her phone. No wonder the place is always empty. There was NOTHING welcoming about the experience. If I wasn't so darn hungry, I would have said "forget it." The sandwhich itself was really good, and a great price (compared to the rest of uptown Kingston), which I appreciated. She thanked me for coming back for the sandwhich and that was that. Really too bad the place isn't more welcoming. They'd have more customers from nearby offices, I'm sure.

It's one of the businesses on that stretch of Broadway to endure while others have changed hands. So the other day, I decided to take a peek inside and find out what's for lunch. Chicken Vindaloo. There was also a vegetarian option. Each cost $15. The vindaloo was really delicious. I could smell it as soon as I walked in. The location is both a gift shop/ market and restaurant. There's dry goods and ready-made foods for sale on the shelves as well as brightly hand-painted gifts such as food storage containers and kitchen towels.I bought both as gifts for friends. I also got an order of vindaloo to eat-in along with unsweetened ice tea. The meal was delicious. The business owner is gracious and helpful. Her ready-made lunches are served in what look to be attractive eco- friendly paper containers. When I let her know that I couldn't finish my meal, she smiled and said," I'll give you a cover for the container so you can take it home." The cover fit perfectly and was secure.
