I reserved Pony's Pad and upon arrival they moved me to another less appealing space due to "maintenance issues" with no prior notice. Too many issues to note here. Management didn't call me back to address the issues I had after several emails and messages. Trip Advisor recent reviews confirm negative experiences as well. My partner and I got the cheddar omelet and the house made corned beef hash with eggs (over easy). Both delicious and fueled our journey across the Empire State Trail Hudson walking bridge (which is about a 15 min walk from Alex's). I looked at my husband and said I am ready to walk out of this place bc I am starving and it looks like they are too short staffed right now which is understandably out of a businesses control sometimes. But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. The chili was okay - nothing too remarkable and the baked clams were super tasty I would say as well. The brussel sprouts werent crispy on the outside but the flavoring of the apple and maple made it super addicting and it became one of my favorite dishes near the end of the meal. We also got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the steak frites which was cooked to perfection. Super yummy but also super filling so we did not expect the portions to be so huge. The whole menu was great and I somehow preferred the seafood over the main dishes but I definitely will come back for another meal if I'm ever in the area.
