Presto pesto panini on gluten free bread

We were in the area and wanted to get a quick bite for breakfast. Shelly's was right down the road and it seemed very obvious where we should stop. I wanted a breakfast sandwich and they offer so many gluten free bread options that I was really excited for this meal. I had a simple sausage, egg and cheese on a gf roll. The sandwich was exactly what I was looking for. It reminded me of an easier time before I needed a gluten free diet, when I could just pick up a sandwich from anywhere. It's so nice to have a sense of normalcy and for the food to be absolutely delicious. The food was ready quickly, which was perfect because we had errands to run. It's always a pleasure ordering food from here and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I stopped here to grab a breakfast wrap where the road. I got a piping hot Philly breakfast wrap which has sliced steak, eggs, cheese and peppers for $6.50 plus tax. Since everything is made to order, it took a little bit of time. But well worth the wait. The wrap was delicious! A bit of salsa would have been nice. But since I was driving, probably was better off without it.

Great for a quick take out lunch. Sandwiches are generous and they have a pretty nice drink/chip selection. The fries are crinkle cut fries. We had a Rueben and an Italian sub. Both were great. Rueben wasn't too greasy, which I liked.

    a half eaten sandwich

A coworker got me their italian sandwich. Which i have ordered in the past and was happy with. Todays sandwich i had to open much later because i was trapped in work meetings until the end of the day. I opened the wrapper and much to my shock the sandwich was made with almost no content. I have attached photos with this review to show the issue I really believe paying 7.95 for this on a roll seems upsetting

Why in the world would you want to go to a sandwich/sub mega-chain when you can get something just as delicious and even more fresh at a place like Shelly's? And their menu shows they probably have double or triple the number of options. My pastrami reuben (on rye, of course) was toasted nicely without being greasy, with about an inch of pastrami inside, fresh sauerkraut, and a nice amount of melted cheese. The subs (wedges) I saw others taking out are about the same length but much thicker in diameter than the chain equivalents. They offer a nice selection of salads and hot items too. If you want to eat in, there's a nice, clean area with tables for 2-4 near the coffee station. But you can also order to go, and they also deliver. The inside is very clean. I like having Shelly's in the area... but I bet the competition doesn't.

Chicken Special: chicken cutlet, mozzarella, balsamic, roasted peppers on a roll.

One of the most unique cafes I've been to in recent memories. From the Ground Up, is located deep inside a 55+ senior living townhouse community. It was a little tricky to find driving through the different buildings in the complex. Once we figured it out, we were greated with a very large dining area that was super clean with big windows and plenty of natural light. They have a few cases of baked goods and coffee, as well as weekly specials. One look at the menu and I knew my order. Shakshuka (traditionally African or Middle Eastern) is a dish of eggs poached in a spiced tomato sauce with onions, peppers, garlic, chickpeas, and kale served with bread to soak up that wonderful red sauce and egg yolk. At $14, this was a steal. The Rueben and fries were pretty standard and my iced latte was decent. Finished things off with a chocolate chip cookie skillet topped with vanilla ice cream. Had plenty of leftovers to bring home. They do a lot of catering and use the cafe as a home base for their 2 food trucks. The chef is a CIA grad. Seems with the 100s of townhouses, they have a built in customer base. They offer some pretty standard stuff like paninis, waffles, omelettes, and burgers. Next time, I want to try the shepherds pie, fish and chips, or chicken and waffles. #highland #fromthegroundupcafe #shakshuka #coffee #reuben #hveats #hvfoodies #eater #igeats #ulster #hudsonvalley #ulstereateriesunited #cookieskillet #ulstereateriesunfiltered #cafe #townhouses @above_weddings

I figured I would help small business and stop in. There is no parking so you have to do street parking. I lucky parked in the front. The outside of the building is dated and a bit hard to see among the other store fronts. Inside, I noticed the place feels like it's from the past. But it was inviting. The waitress told me grad a seat and she asked if I wanted coffee. After she took my order and took it to throne cook in the restaurant. I noticed a TV on the back wall playing modern music, it was great. After, my meal came and I started to eat. The home fries were different. They used a mix of vegetables I've never seen on home fries, but it worked. I was disappointed the ketchup on my table was empty and when they replaced it, it definitely was not Heinz. The egg was not as big as I thought. They used white cheese and that was fine. It just left me wanting more. I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food didn't move the needle for me. I enjoyed the music, staff, and atmosphere, so those are wins.

While waiting, I noticed another group that stated they were a party of 9 was seated ahead of us, even though there were only 7 people, while we were a party of 6, including children. That left me confused and frustrated, especially since we had called ahead and were patiently waiting our turn. I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. I can't speak to why the wait list was handled the way it was, but the experience made me feel that we were treated unfairly. I used to come to this diner often, and because of this experience, I will not be returning. More importantly, I hope no other family has to leave feeling the way we did today. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special Mother's Day with my family ended in frustration and disappointment. Thank you for ruining what should have been a meaningful day.

The views in the Hudson Valley are literally breathtaking from almost every angle of every city. My Wife and I have both had Farmers and Chefs bookmarked in Yelp for quite some time, so finally heading over was so exciting. It was a beautiful day so we headed to the patio. Love the indoor/outdoor bar area. I ordered a dirty martini. Made perfectly. We shared the Farmer's Wings, oysters on a half shell and a mixed green salad with Goat Cheese, soooooo good. My Wife also went with the Salmon & garlic mash served with green beans. Hella Good. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Our server, a very kind gentleman, who's name a cannot remember made our experience even more incredible by going above and beyond to direct the umbrellas just so that the sun wasn't in my Wife's eyes and our view of the walkway wasn't blocked. We sat outside and it was mostly pleasant, aside from some pesky mosquitos -- citronella candles or similar would be helpful to have on the tables. I got the 50/Cut Burger on a bed of mixed greens (no GF bun option), and it was super tasty albeit slightly overcooked. The shoestring fries were also good. The Negroni I ordered had a good balance of flavors but I always prefer a big rock of ice vs. chipped ice, which waters down the drink too fast. But they supplied a legit Luxardo cherry, and that certainly elevated the experience. The service was fast & friendly. I enjoyed it, and would return to try some of the other menu items.
