The workers are so polite especially Ashley and Jan and the food is amazing 10/10 i will be coming back.

I can't remember the last time I was insulted by an employee for no reason. This is all about the older woman with the tattoos. I go in and order my food. Everything was totally fine and normal until I asked for a receipt. Employee: Why, is someone buying your food? Me: Yes actually (my mother in law was paying for the food, she was sitting in the car) Employee: Oh, do they buy your clothes too? Me: No? Employee: Well you should work on that. Now I kinda laughed it off and left. I was working in my yard so my shirt had some dirt on it. The entire ride home I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't mean anything rude by it. I was talking to my family going over every possible interpretation of what she could have meant. But after reading several reviews about how rude she is, I have accepted that she was literally insulting my appearance and the way I looked. I honestly can't remember the last time someone was rude just to be rude. Also, please know that I will be contacting the BBB, making an entire post about it on the Wallkill/Walden Facebook groups and Neighborhoods. The fact that there are so many bad reviews about this one person and she is still there tells me that either management simply doesn't care or she is the owner. Bagels are tasteless. I had a turkey egg and cheese on a multigrain bagel with SPK. Zero flavor. 1, maybe 2 slices of turkey and a single egg. Hubby got BEC on Sesame bagel and also said flavorless. How does bacon have no flavor? Website says $4.50 per sandwich and somehow he paid over $13 (he did ask for extra bacon, but $4 for extra bacon?). They boast "best bagel shop" but I can't understand how. Don't waste your time or money here, instead go to Bagel spot in Montgomery and get flavor plus 2 eggs and decent amount of meat for less $$. read more

We make it a plan to stop in whenever we are in Walden. Service is always great proper New York style. We ordered an everything pumpernickel ham sausage egg and cheese bagel. It was fantastic. So this was my first time coming to Orange County Bagels and I can say it will be my last. The service is terrible. Anything I asked, I got a roll of the eyes and a deep sigh as if my order was an inconvenience to them. I felt like my business was not wanted. I was very polite but still received a major attitude from grandpa and son (both employees). Not sure if my skin color or my friendliness turned them off but I even wrote on the receipt that the service was rude and the man (son) thanked us for the compliment. The rudest experience ever. First this place is very nice and the people are very nice but I did not like the bagel. Being that the bagel is the main reason I went there, I will not be back. So I like my bagel to have an exterior texture and a soft inside but the outside should be a bit crispy on the outside. This bagel had all the same texture so I felt like I was eating regular bread. I saw a lot of people there so maybe they like it. A bagel is very subjective everyone thinks theirs is the best. For me, I will not go back. Finally a new bagel place in Walden. I went their opening weekend at 9:30am and the line was out the door! So instead of waiting I came back later after running a few errands. I don't know why I was shocked to find almost all their bagels were gone! But still I was able to order 4 for the family. The wait was crazy long but it was their second day in business so that's to be expected! Just shows the need for this place in town. One of the guys behind the counter who I assume was either the manager or owner was very nice, apologized multiple times for the delay and even offered me a soda. My kids weren't too crazy over their blueberry cream cheese because to them it tasted like regular with just a purple color to it but my green onion was fine. Besides that no complaints. Will be back for sure. Glad to have them around and not have to go to Montgomery just for a bagel in the mornings. read more

When they first opened OC Bagel was pretty good. The level of quality and service was about on par with the Goshen location. However in the past year all of that has gone out the window. Out of the dozens of orders I placed maybe a handful were correct. It's hard to understand why it's so hard to follow directions. Have gotten bagels burned to a crisp when I asked for not toasted. Have gotten a bagel with so little cream cheese I had to get a magnifying glass to find it. came here while doing laundry nearby. always wanted to try here, but they were building it when I moved from Walden. was greeted and they took my order quickly and thanked me for it. I left a tip. I got a little Nicky on a roll. which is Italian combo basically. the sandwich was perfect, am glad all the meats were equal portions and not overkilled with lettuce or tomatoes that a lot of places like to do. appreciate how soft the roll was and not hard. I think its cute how it came with a pickle and a tiny cup of macaroni salad. the salad in the cup was good, wish I got more. def got to try more when am in the area. glad they are open. :) read more

Place seems clean and open which is good. Not a fan of Fox News , I don't believe news should be on in a business. The cashier seemed flustered for only a few customers. I do like their bagel options and that they use Boars Head cold cuts and cheeses. The bagels themselves are just ok. They taste like what I can buy at a grocery store. Portions are very good for the price . But if I wanted a good quality bagel, this not the place to get one. I had mine lightly toasted and still has that stale taste. This place has so much potential. The bagels and sandwiches are great when made correctly, but they almost always get it wrong. I've ordered from here at least a dozen times and they've only gotten my order right once or twice. Most of the screw ups are small, like no ketchup when asked for spk, or ketchup when only asked for sp, bagels not toasted when asked to be toasted, no cheese on a Sobo, etc. I won't be returning for a while, hopefully they can get it together. read more

Went on a holiday Monday morning to this bagel place and it was great! The bagels were fresh they were soft we ordered three breakfast sandwiches and danishes, everything came out hot and tasted great and the service was terrific. We are so happy about this location and the ease of a drive up window for picking up. The bagels are delicious, boars head meats always a plus and interesting combinations keep us coming back. My personal favorite is the Chicken Caesar Bagel on a whole wheat everything- amazing!!! I do wish the given Mac salad was more than a Jell-O shot size and more flavorful than just peppered egg. That aside it's better than local competitors for sure. I hope they keep up the great work, and keep the amazing staff. J is a shining light in the morning and seeing her always makes me smile.
