For a brief moment my breathing stops, she simply took my breath away for that moment as I stared at the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. It was our first date that lead to many more with even discussions of marriage years later. This coffee shop is so special to me that I would have taken wedding photos outside on the front lawn to commemorate the beginning. But my dreams came to an end when the rough patches came along. Rather than pray for her, I got annoyed with her. With no prayer or patience she's now gone and with God now in my life I wish I could pray over her (rather than just for her) and love her the way she was meant to be loved. I visit this ship from time to time with the most wild dream that God would have her walk through the door, back into my life but I know that won't happen. As I sip an amazing latte from this shop I wonder where God is taking me because my sole focus is my path forward with the Lord and nothing else. I will never give my heart to anyone else except God. This little coffee shop will forever be special to me and a reminder of love I haven't felt in a long time that I didn't properly nurture.

I've been here a few times and will just add that the food isn't amazing and is typically slow to come out (not expecting that much given that the place is small and can get crowded). Today they had no real lunch items except for soup and a few pre-made sandwiches, all egg or breakfast items even after 11. I wouldn't order the avocado toast again; while the egg was made well, the avocado was spread pretty thinly and the toast very thin and ordinary. The chicken and Waffles with Sriracha maple syrup was pretty good and the gruyere, mushroom, spinach and egg sandwich as well. I think everything is fine, including the bakery, but nothing really stands out. $10 minimum for credit cards. They close on Mondays and Tuesdays. There's always something new to discover. While I was there planning to visit the Italian Art Gallery nearby, I came across Cold Spring Coffee House and saw that it had great reviews, so I figured it would be the perfect place to start my day. Getting there: If you're coming from NYC, the Metro-North is super convenient. The coffee house is an easy walk from the Cold Spring train station, which makes it a great stop when spending the day exploring the town. Inside, the coffee house isn't overly decorated, but it has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I wasn't a huge fan of how close together some of the tables were, but it was quiet enough to sit. They also have a few tables out front if you'd rather enjoy your coffee while taking in the charming street. But the real showstopper here is the pastry selection! With such a beautiful display of pastries, who needs extra decorations? There were so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but I ultimately went with the Goat Cheese & Honey Danish and paired it with a medium coffee. Overall, I'm glad I added this stop to my Cold Spring adventure. I always enjoy spending time here, strolling through the town, popping into the different shops, and finding little spots like this along the way. It's a great place to grab a coffee and pastry before continuing to explore everything Cold Spring has to offer.

Parking is limited, but once you arrive, the property is absolutely adorable with its farm setting and beautiful flowers. The service was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our visit. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, locally grown ingredients, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, almost every dish we ordered was incredibly salty. I love well seasoned food, but this was just too much. They definitely need to ease up on the salt because it overpowered the fresh ingredients. I would recommend to the chef - calm down on the salt please!!! The standout dish for our group was the hot honey pizza--it was absolutely delicious and the one item I'd happily order again. One small downside that caught me off guard was the bathroom. It was so dark that it was difficult to see anything. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with great service and a charming atmosphere!

This morning on our way home we took a special detour to have breakfast here. I asked for the same veggie omelette, hoping to re-experience their unique and delicious creation, but alas! it was a total disappointment! The distinctively creative design was gone, and in its stead was just an average, run-of-the-mill omelette, all the while (to make things even worse) sans the spinach that was specified on the menu (which was generously offered 4 years ago). I attach photos from 4 years ago for my dear readers to compare and understand my perspective. The homemade biscuit was still as warm, fluffy and tasty as before, so was the attentive and friendly service.
