It's 2018 and as I pull into the parking lot I see her emerge from her car, beautiful long hair that has a shine under the sun light. For a brief moment my breathing stops, she simply took my breath away for that moment as I stared at the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. It was our first date that lead to many more with even discussions of marriage years later. This coffee shop is so special to me that I would have taken wedding photos outside on the front lawn to commemorate the beginning. But my dreams came to an end when the rough patches came along. Rather than pray for her, I got annoyed with her. With no prayer or patience she's now gone and with God now in my life I wish I could pray over her (rather than just for her) and love her the way she was meant to be loved. I visit this ship from time to time with the most wild dream that God would have her walk through the door, back into my life but I know that won't happen. As I sip an amazing latte from this shop I wonder where God is taking me because my sole focus is my path forward with the Lord and nothing else. I will never give my heart to anyone else except God. This little coffee shop will forever be special to me and a reminder of love I haven't felt in a long time that I didn't properly nurture. read more

Very cozy cafe and very warm too. Service was awesome and staff was very friendly and keep busy keeping up hustle and bustle there. Always nice to see people passionate about their business, keeps the quality up. My chunky chicken salad bagel was yummy, usually not a fan of chicken salad over tuna, but it seasoned just right and I appreciate they cut up onions, celery and lettuce so finely so hard chucks. Lemonade was great, not too sweet or too bitter. The pistachio yogurt muffin particularly nice, so soft and sweet, definitely light not feeling heavy like other muffins where the flavoring is overpowering because of flavoring additives. My guess if that if you are accustomed to Starcrooks Coffee and you come here--you are not going to want to go back to Starcrooks. I had the Dark Roast and it was not only very good, but a large cup lasted and kept me charged up for 2 days. The owner, who actually works long hours daily in the business told me they have been using the same roaster for many many years. And they have fresh gigantic bagels delivered daily by the same bagel maker for many years he said. If you are not familiar with Cornwall on the Hudson--it has a very quaint, safe, walk-able downtown that goes on for blocks. So after or with your Coffee here, take a walk and check out all the cool businesses. And if you want to really impress someone that you know what you are doing, then head it down to Cornwall Landing nearby and relax in the park next to the Hudson River. I can't think of a better day: Coffee here, walk around Cornwall town, then down to the river...and maybe back up to Cornwall for dinner? Wonderful oat milk lattes! The small is a very good size and they have very reasonable prices! My grandfather got a decaf latte that he was very happy with, and the iced decaf cold brew was very solid for a decaf cold brew. Cute seating and environment with friendly workers. Holy "Where Have You Been All My Life, Batman?" The answer is a few minutes drive from my folk's when it comes to my new favorite coffee shop. 2 Alices Coffee is a mere 6 minutes from my parent's house in New Windsor, on a quiet road away from it all. The interior is cute and open with walls lined with work from local artists and quality products churned out by the rad staff behind the counter. I've previously visited the Newburgh location and liked it but not lived it enough to go back, but this place is more of a vibe that suits my need for some quality "me" time. There's a parking lot attached to the property and plenty of street parking in front so that a non factor, and with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, finding your perfect spot should be easy. The coffee is as simple or as complex as you want it to be so go wild (or not), and if you're a non-coffee drinker who winds up here, there's loads of teas to choose from as well. There's some pastries and light sandwiches if you've got an appetite as well as some soft drinks if you're in the mood for something refreshing. What really appealed most about this place and what will make 2 Alices my new go-to in the area was the option to add 10 my of CBD to my coffee drink. This is going to make my coffee breaks much much better whether I post up here or grab-and-go to my usual chill spot by the Newburgh ferry landing. Wonderful across the board! read more

Okay so I am maybe a little addicted to this sandwich. I order it open faced after exhausting myself hiking on nearby Storm King Mountain. The coffee is truly legit (8oz americano) as well. This sandwich is an all time top five sandwich. Friends I go here with like their oatmeal and cookies and quiche and other items. My favorite touch was the large neon sign out front stating "WINE", which is always an eye-catcher for me. There were happy people sitting outside at tables on a sunny (but brisk!) day, and a few spots inside as well. It is set aside from the traffic enough to have a lovely conversation outside, or in your car. They were super uber friendly, and offered lots of caffeinated and non teas, coffees and others, like frozen hot chocolate. Not even a blink at my alternative mill suggestion, and YES, there was both a small local wine and beer offering out on a table. Best snack options here are bagels, and lots of other random packaged healthy-looking snacks. Tons of spread options for the bagels do not hurt either. The Ole' I chose had a touch of maple syrup flavor and was yummers. I can definitely see why this place has a good draw. read more

The girl at the counter seemed not to understand or be fully listening at first but she gave me the lowdown which is the only artificial flavor is vanilla. I picked a regular iced coffee and she kindly asked if I needed room for milk. Great touch! My wife and I split a cookie which was very good. They have tables and also a sofa and loveseat. Great location if you're working remotely despite the snappy music playing overhead. The music isn't bad unless your on a Zoom call or something else. Unpopular opinion (especially for this area): we did not care for this place. We found the baristas unwelcoming. They were ready to help the person behind us. When we stated we hadn't ordered yet, the barista said, "the line usually starts here." There was no sign or anyone to let us know that. We ordered and said thank you. Barista didn't say a thing. They've got a big fan in Yours, Truly. Legit cold brew, an array of vegan bites, friendly staff + a plethora of natural light streaming in from all the big windows. I've been to their Newburgh location, which is a bit more of an industrial vibe and in the middle of an abandoned Mid Century strip mall on an urban strip of the town. This location is its polar opposite, in the middle of a bucolic little Hudson Valley town. There's so much beauty surrounding it, old houses with gardens bursting with flowers, pretty much a summer postcard. It's pretty cool that 2 Alices seems to vibe with its environment so well. Spacious and comfortable, the coffee lounge lends itself just as well to gaming (they have some board games if you so desire, FYI) as it does to setting up shop with your laptop. If this were my neighborhood coffee house, I'd be hard pressed to work from home. Just supply me with that deliciously smooth cold brew and I might never leave. read more

I could see myself coming here often. This was my first time coming here and was eager to check it out. Ordered the Rock Star on a sesame bagel which brings cream cheese, tomato and cucumber, a chocolate salted caramel cookie and of course a large mocha (my go to drink). Came in with my munchkin who really enjoyed her cookie. I took a bite and it was prefectly chewy with a salty/sweet twist. My food was also really good and the coffee was just right. They have a lot of nice baked options here which I could see myself trying in the future. The vibe is really cool here with all types of folks meeting up to chit chat and other's doing some work on their laptop's. Not a huge place but not small either. They have ample seating. The majority of them seem like antifa brats but they do their job usually without a smile , but I'm okay with that because I'm a happy person and just smile and walk away. I can see people being bothered by the fact the staff seems mostly miserable but I'm not. I wish the manager would take notes on the bad reviews instead of snapping on the ones that leave them.. There are many seats in there but the regulars usually set up shop there for a long time and you do have those annoying laptop people... but I still give this place 4 stars because my orders have never been messed up and I have never been given an attitude... read more

I've been coming here for the last 10+ years and even remember when the original owners had opened it! It is definitely one of my favorite places to just go and hangout or sit and do some work. This is the only coffee shops in the area (as far as i know) that has lavender syrup which is one of my favorite flavors. I always add it to the iced green tea or an iced latte with vanilla. Ever since it opened, I've loved coming here anytime I am home visiting family. I've had plain drip coffee, cold brew, iced coffee and lattes... all have been great! In the numerous times I've been the the staff was super helpful and pleasant. They have a good selection of food as well... including a few bagel sandwiches, bakery items and build your own oatmeal! A Pretty Great Coffee Place Found this place on Yelp and was staying at an Air BnB nearby. I had some work to do and the wife, who is in the middle of her MBA program, did as well. Not that there were a lot of choices nearby but this place had everything we needed. I'd give more points just for service if I could. We stayed for a long time on two visits and staff was so nice. (5/5). There's no warm food here..they can heat up a bagel but it's more straight coffee shop, with poetry and trivia nights, than a brunch place. (Food 3/5). They have a ton of available outlets with extension cords which is nice and thoughtful to not have to stretch the plug like some places. Some tables are quite small though and might be difficult to find a good work spot when empty (Ambiance 4/5). read more

2A was good about 2-3 years ago. Since then, the quality of the coffee has declined. The espresso is not strong and very watered down as opposed to when the coffee tasted rich. They don't mix the cold brew they pour the milk on top and cap it, wtf? I stopped going a while ago and went back today - still sadly disappointed. The consistency is not existent - ever. I miss the old 2A. I changed my review because the owner has just as much of an attitude as his workers. I Didn't mention the staff - until now. If you put in the effort you did to reply to me, imagine how you can train your staff to handle customers, make a drink, not have a sprout in the middle of my bagel from the dirty knife.
