We did sit outside after 5 and it got busy as folks drove in and walked up after work. So, for us..I told hubby he didn't need to buy anything because he already had sweets in the hotel room. However once he had a look at the cases, he just had to buy something! His favorite is the lobster tail and cannoli and I had to get the black and white cookie. We sat outside and since I had to be on a call, hubby went in for a strawberry ice. No chocolate until the weekend . A couple of bites of the black and white cookie for me right away. It's not overly make my teeth rattle sweet and the crumb is very much like a cake. I ate the rest after dinner and it quickly had hardened. Hubby LOVED the lobster tail. 5 out of 5. Hubby took a taste of the cannoli and gave it a thumbs up. He enjoyed the water ice more than Ralph's because it wasn't as icy. Local businesses are so important to the local community and it seems that La Deliziosa is holding its own. Regardless let's keep them going!

Finding delicious Vegan treats is important to us and let me tell you how deliciously decadent these were!! They were moist and the flavor so well balanced. Rich but not too rich. Sweet but not too sweet. The chocolate cake as well as the chocolate frosting had the taste of real quality chocolate. It felt luxurious to eat and we both were highly impressed. Sadly, only one thing though, we wished it would've had more cake and a little less frosting. If you're Vegan or even if you're not, these are a definite must try! I highly recommend. You can tell Bobby pours love into his confectionery creations and is proud of what he does, handing out samples and answering any questions guests may have. There are various fudge flavors for sale that differ depending on the season. We were walked through the fudge making process and how he sources the highest quality ingredients for his product, something that you can't find in mass produced candy factories. After rounds of recipe testing he has fudge making down to a science, perfecting the amount of sweetness for each flavor. I'm obsessed with the pistachio fudge, featuring real pieces of pistachio throughout! I'm already planning a visit to the store for each season to try what new flavors Bobby has in store!

(I screamed for ice cream, if you will ;) I ordered the mango sorbet on a sugar cone, however the girl scooping my ice cream recommended that I switch to a waffle cone as it would hold the sorbet better. She was definitely right about that! The sorbet was refreshing and exactly what I needed to hear the Sunday afternoon heat. They have literally one table with 2 chairs inside, and thankfully it was empty when we arrived as I had no plans of eating my ice cream outside. If you arrive during a busy time, you can enjoy your ice cream on the bench outside the front door or up in their patio area located to the left of the building. Our first experience, a little over a year ago, was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful, the prices were reasonable, and the pastries were delicious. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to those memories. We stopped in shortly after opening to pick up some desserts for the three-hour drive home. Despite being one of the only customers there, we were not acknowledged for over five minutes and eventually had to ask if we could place an order. It wasn't the most welcoming start to our visit. We ordered two large cupcakes and two regular cupcakes and were surprised by the prices. The large cupcakes, which were only slightly bigger than the regular ones, were $6.00 each. The regular cupcakes were $3.25 each and were about the size of the mini cupcakes you might find at a grocery store bakery. We chose simple flavors--chocolate with chocolate frosting and vanilla with chocolate frosting--so there wasn't anything particularly unique or specialty-inspired to justify the higher cost. Unfortunately, the cupcakes themselves were disappointing. The cake was dry, and the frosting was very stiff, which made them less enjoyable than we had hoped. Given the price point, we expected a much fresher and more flavorful product. It's always disappointing when a place you once loved doesn't deliver the same experience on a return visit. While we have fond memories of our first stop at Pastry Garden, this visit left us underwhelmed, and sadly, it's not a place we'll be rushing back to.
