Salad, bread and butter (or is it ricotta?) And peppers/olives. Delicious!

I've been told about this place by at least three people. I loved it! I went during the week, and it was pretty busy. I sat at the bar and ordered a Diet Coke and the homemade tortellini, which came with a side salad and bread. Everything was excellent. The portions are massive, and I just had them... and honestly, may have even been better than the first night. Service was friendly and bartender was excellent. I'll be back!

I eat here often and have never had a bad meal or service. The portions are huge! I usually get the chicken scarpiello but this weekend tried their baby clams and shrimp over linguini with tomatoes in a garlic white wine sauce. It was delicious! My Only recommendation is the inside of the restaurant needs an update. The prices don't match the ambiance.

I haven't been here in years - I heard that quality control had taken a dive, but it was so good in the past we gave it a go. I made a reservation as Friday's get busy. We walked in and were greeted immediately and in a courteous friendly and professional manner. We were seated and had water super fast. This is where they lost a star - the waiter came and mumbled his way through taking a drink order. He had the personality of a rotting log and was NOT a friendly individual. I certainly don't want to make any BFF's at dinner, but this guy was like having a pet rock to serve us. He was only partially attentive and kept the same barely-have-a-pulse demeanor for our entire visit. I can't say service really suffered, but when our food was dropped we didn't see him again for quite a while. That being said, the food was outstanding. There was enough on my plate for three servings! Needless to say the majority of our food came home with is. They doggy-bag it up in the back and bring it to you - nice touch! All the other staff we dealt with were very pleasant - it's a shame we got stuck with the dead fish as a server. The bar scene was pretty hopping with lots of activity. It prompted me to look at their happy hour specials and I can tell you I will 100% be back to enjoy them. My only other complaint is the dining room gets very noisy. Overall a very pleasant experience and I will be willing to go back the next time I want an Italian fix...

Called ahead to make reservations to be on the safe side..very busy on a Sunday during dinner time. The manager greeted us & took us to our table. Him & his staff are very friendly & attentive. The servings...OMG you will leave with leftovers. The food is so fresh & delicious. I love cheese with an Italian dish & they sure serve it up!! The dining area makes you feel at home & is very spacious for guests to move around. Plenty of parking available as well

Amazing food as always and great portions!! A large menu to choose from. The service is fast and pleasant. Usually a nice crowd.

Just purchased the fried calamari and was very disappointed. The rings were not like the pictures or previous ones. The legs were very chewy, the rings were like the ones you can buy from the frozen section in the grocery store.

Stephano's is one of those old school Italian American places. The food is delicious and comes with huge portions. All the favorites you'd expect on the menu with some specials as well. The wait staff is attentive and speedy and the dishes come out hot. The restaurant can get slightly loud when packed but the seating is spaced out so you're not on top of each other. We will definitely be returning for our pasta fix.

Everyone else's reviews are stellar. Try it for yourself, and be the judge. This place gets LOUD at dinner time. If you know ameslan, no problem. I was waiting for a friend, who was running a little late, so I ordered arancini, to go. The host said they are made to order. Tried one, before my friend arrived. The peas inside, were like the ones I used as ammo as a kid. Hard as a rock. Great with a peashooter, not in the food. I mentioned it to the bartender - it didn't phase her. My friend showed, paid the bill, and took the take-out with me. At home tried it again; major disappointment and waste of money. Not much different than 4 years ago. Except this time I was able to get out of the lot and onto Main St. That was the high point of my experience.

First time here overall good. Food/Drink: Actually very good. Really enjoyed my meal, and the food was cooked to a Awesome taste level. Dinning Area: Pretty large, open, area. Plenty of seating, however they left the door open and it was pretty muggy and hot! Prices: Relatively High but it was family style. 6 adult meals, an appetizer, and a a few drinks for under $300 plus tip. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and regular size. Atmosphere: During the weekday late dinner, It was packed Staff/Attendants: waiter was excellent! He was professional, kind, courteous, and prompt. I really enjoyed my time here which is a first for me. Great experience 8/10

Had a 5:00 pm reservation for 3 on a Saturday night. We were seated right away. The restaurant was mostly full. It's not very large and the bar area and tables are all together in one room. It was very noisy. The waitstaff was pleasant, prompt and accommodating. The entree's come with a salad and choice of dressing. Large warm pizza dough type rolls are served with a ricotta mixture spread, Roasted red peppers and small pitted Kalamata olives. We ordered the hot antipasto for an appetizer. Plenty for 3 to share. It came with 4 shrimp, 4 clams, & mostly mussels in a mild spicy red sauce. There were a few tiny stuffed clams and a side of eggplant rollatini. The latter was the best. Tender eggplant with a silky, sweet and mild marinara sauce. My brother ordered the Zuppa de pesche fra diavlo . It was very spicy and more mussels than shrimp or clams. Naturally lots of linguine. My sister in law ordered linguine with white clams in garlic and oil. I ordered the homemade gnocchi in the same silky marinara sauce. Light delicious pillowy clouds with high quality melted mozzarella (parmigiana) (can be made fra diavlo). All portions are oversized, came out hot, fresh & Properly seasoned. I also had a side of sautéed spinach which had good sized leaves and were small stemmed. Very tasty as well. We skipped dessert although they looked good. Would definitely dine here again.

Another visit my daughter gave me three choices of restaurants to take me to for my birthday and this family owned Italian restaurant was my first choice. She brought me here last year for Father's Day and I knew this is the place I wanted to go back to. Reservations not needed but definitely suggested especially for a late Sunday afternoon. The manager sat our party immediately and after a few moments we put in our drink orders and received the complimentary rolls and peppers and olives and garlic butter. It a wonderful family atmosphere with 3rd& 4th generations of family members enjoying the ambiance. The food is prepared fresh so patience is a virtue but well worth the wait. The portions are huge and flavorful. Unless you are a linebacker for your favorite football team, you're surely to leave with a doggy bag. If you're in the Fishkill NY area, Definitely stop in for a meal, you won't be disappointed.

The only italian restaraunt that my family and i go to and that has a sauce my mom respects. Also the freshest and tenderest calamari around with a nice crisp coating thats almost like air. The portions are very generous with both the food and wine, and the staffs always friendly. The only cons are its a small place so weekends can be busy, and sometimes theres a lot of sauce per dish.

Bert is the baker and chef and he knows his craft. I got a fruit cake ( very moist and rum filled ) and a gingerbread house and both were phenomenal. From what I saw spying at patrons plates the breakfast and lunch food look delicious and everyone seemed very satisfied with what they had. The menu is somewhat seasonal it seems. For example , I've heard Bert does a good chicken pot pie but not during the holidays bc he concentrates on foods for that time of year. Remember that this is a mom and pop kinda place. Only one person in front and Bert in the back so don't expect fast service. But that is why you should come here to rub elbows with the locals and just enjoy life and good food.
