An excellent meal! Portions were massive, plenty for leftovers, drinks were even better. Their salad is crazy good. I was very appreciative of the accommodations made for me as someone with a gluten allergy- and the gluten free pasta was excellent :-) We sat at the bar since it was a Saturday night (busy!) but it was still very nice, especially with the Christmas music, decorations, and Christmas-themed drinks. My wife ordered seven trays of hot food for a bir party for me. the chicken parm was dry and tough. when she called to tell them the response was they must have not put enough sauce in there. thanks for letting us know. then hung up. did not even offer to correct the issue. nothing. my wife a lot of money for food that nobody ate or enjoyed. We searched for a restaurant near us while staying at the Hyatt in Fishkill. We stumbled upon Stefanos Italian restaurant, which for us a hidden gem. Our expectations were not high we were just looking for something to eat.Stefano's exceeded our expectations. We were seated right away, the server was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was outstanding I ordered the Pollo ala Stephano Boneless chicken breast topped with proscuitto, eggplant, roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella served over a spinach sauté The portions were hugh and I felt guilty even thinking about eating this much food. we highly recommend this family, Italian restaurant if you're looking for some exceptional food. read more

At the old Friendly's, with a super nice staff. It can get crowded on weekends, so I advise making reservations. All the of the food I've had here is awesome. They start you off with garlic rolls served with roasted peppers, and a gorgonzola ricotta butter, it's delicious. The fried calamari was cooked to perfection, and they give you the tentacles! The meatballs were the best I've ever had, they're super tender because they use a veal, beef, and pork blend. Stephano's pours heavy too, the wine was almost up to the top of the glass! I was astounded at how much food they gave us, the zuppa de pesce can literally feed a family of 4. If I didn't live all the way down in Westchester, this would be my everyday Italian spot. The prices are affordable, the servers hustle, the portions are massive, and the food is delicious; what more can you want? Stephano's is all around an amazing place, I definitely approve. read more

I e eaten at Stephano's a few times and this will be my last. The dining room was cramped and way too loud. The service was disappointing. My friend ordered a gluten-free meal for herself and they brought out GF appetizers when we did not ask for that. There were several waiters going back and forth and none seemed to know which table got which food. They told us we could not order a glass of Chardonnay and that they only had it as a while bottle. After we asked for Pinot Grigio they brought us glasses of Chardonnay. The entrees were full of garlic. My family and I experienced heartburn and bad breath for 24 hours afterwards. The clams were supposed to be long neck and they were tiny. The shrimp Francese was drowned in butter I'm figuring at least two full melted sticks. The shrimp were saturated tails still on and burning hot. The bread was not fully cooked. Don't waste your money, time, or health. read more

This restaurant is very popular and was crowded when I went on a Thursday evening. It's loud. The hardwood floors and mostly bare walls do not muffle the sound from all of the tables and conversations. It was hard to hear the people around my table. The table service was pretty good but the person who met us at the door was abrupt and impatient. It set an unpleasant tone right away. The food was good and the portions were huge. I had leftovers for literally days. They had gluten free pasta, which I really appreciated and it was cooked very well. The bolognese was good as well. Overall, it's a decent Italian restaurant in a convenient location if you don't mind a very loud atmosphere. read more

Just not the same! Very costly, they think they are the top notch and no one matters. Manager/owner Very poor attitude after being a customer of Stefanos since they were in wappingers. Paid for food and left it there worried that the cooks spit in it after we complained on how long it took for our order to come out... will never go back. Will def go to the new place in Beacon! As a business owner, I would have never challenged a customer in front of other people and made a scene the way he did. Shame on them. read more

My husband and I are frequent diners here and are treated so well by the staff! It feels like home. Tonight we decided to dine and this team was working their butts off to satisfy every single customer. They were amazing and I wanted to recognize them. Kind of racist... Asked for a table of two with half of the restaurant empty and apparently all of the tables were reserved. Keep in mind we see people coming in and out of the restaurant before we get there and it doesn't seem like they encountered any problems. The hostess didn't even look confident about what she was saying to us... But I guess they don't like money. Stephano's is an old school restaurant where the quality of food is delicious and consistent, the portions large enough for 3 meals and the atmosphere is cozy as if you are with extended family. Did I mention that the pours are large, you do NOT have to ask for the fresh baked bread and the salad comes with the meal. I dare you not to gasp in amazement when your mussels in garlic and white wine arrives at the table. I double dare you. Ken (manager) is so knowledgeable and accommodating and Laura (mixologist) is creative with a beautiful smile and bubbly personality (no pun intended). Came here for dinner on Saturday night. They have outside and inside seating options and tables are placed far apart for safety. All the staff were wearing masks. They were busy but not overwhelmingly crowded. We felt very comfortable and safe. We had an 8pm reservation and were seated a little late. The host was super nice and apologetic, he even took care of a round of wine due to us having to wait for our table. Friendly staff, our waiter was very personable. I had orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe and it was fantastic. Portions are huge and so are the glasses of house wine. Food was delicious. Overall a great experience. I'll definitely be back! We sat outside under the tent during lunch, in a nice big open space, enjoying the views of Main Street and foliage around us. The utensils and menus were all real and not single use which worried me a little, but the waitstaff were all wearing face masks (and correctly!) so that was a plus. Still I wiped everything down w Clorox wipes for peace of mind. So, the food was really good. From the complimentary warm garlic rolls and antipasti served w the appetizers, to the incredibly crisp and tasty side salads w house dressing, everything tasted fresh. The marinara w my mom's calamari was delicious and the pumpkin ravioli special- YUM. This is with understanding that staff must be short everywhere because the food took forever, it wasn't as good as it was in the past and the waiter didn't pay much attention/had to be reminded of requests. We've come here for years however and the food, service and staff have always been great. This is the first time we have gone since the start of the pandemic. Its so hard to judge and or get mad knowing the current state of local small businesses & staff. Hopefully it was just a bad day, because we'd like to enjoy food here again. read more

We really enjoyed our dinner here. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly full with large groups celebrating birthdays and other life events. We were greeted and quickly seated at one of the few tables that was open. We started by ordering a bottle of chianti that turned out to be quite good. They served us a complimentary plate with three homemade rolls, olives, and roasted red peppers. The 'butter' turned out to be Gorgonzola cheese, ricotta cheese and a little bit of butter to hold it together into a ball shape. It was excellent! For dinner, we shared a dish called Chicken Stephano. This was one of their signature dishes and it was a great choice for us. The serving was huge and very tasty. We ended the meal with a cannoli for each of us. I can honestly say that our meal was as good or better than the meals we get in Boston's North End (we live in New Hampshire). This place has awesome food and plenty of it! I'm thankful they have a variety of gluten free options, but please restaurateurs provide more than just one GF pasta option for those of us who suffer with celiac disease. Stephano's only offers penne pasta. That being said their food is amazing, fresh and every bite is truly delicious. We often order take out only because the sound level in the restaurant is overbearing due to the open floor plan and wooden floors. The staff is courteous and attentive. This is definitely one of our favorite places on Fishkill. read more

The reason why I gave this one star is because when I confirmed my reservation for a party of 13 for a Saturday evening I was told that they would be losing money on us. Their reason was that a large party tends to sit around way too long!! I stewed around for a half hour furious, when I decided to cancel ..when I called I was told thank you very much twice after I told them how rude they were!! They will never see any of my family ever again even though we loved their food.
