The pouched egg was under slimy clear egg white ran all over my plate. The "side salad which was a pinch of greens and two slices of radish that looked like it was re-plated and it was not dressed (dry - no salad dressing). This comes with no home fries and they want 21 for this...? What... The French 75 with pear puree was not a hit either. Good attempt but this missed the mark and took the simplicity and elegance away from the classic French 75. came here a few months ago on a day trip up to cold spring from the city. decided on this spot for lunch as the brunch menu had several nice options and it looked lively. they told us ~30 minute wait so we came back in 20 minutes but ended up having to wait for 1 hour total. when we were seated they told us only the lunch menu was being served. there was nothing i wanted from the lunch menu so i got an eggplant sandwich. after we ordered they for some reason decided to start serving the brunch menu and the table next to us was able to order brunch... the sandwich was awful. the eggplant slices themselves were so thin they were nonexistent and it essentially was just breading and sandwich bread. i ended up just taking the "eggplant" out and eating the bread / tomato / lettuce. the burger that my boyfriend got was average. nothing special. the place itself was cute. the bathroom lines were horrendously long. to top it off, the meal (burger and sandwich and 1 lemonade) cost $60. totally regret coming here. read more

The eggplant sandwich was very basic, needed a little more seasoning, so I dipped that in the sauce from the provoleta. The provoleta is basically a big slice of cheese, fried and smothered in sauce. I would've preferred it in smaller pieces and not softened from the sauce. Sauce was tangy and needed a little more salt as well. Service was ok. Waiter didn't seem like he wanted be there or annoyed, maybe it was a bad day for him. This was a slightly underwhelming experience with food but otherwise it was great and I won't knock this weird first time as the barometer. We visited for a light breakfast on a rainy week day and the town was pretty dead. We sat outside and had a very attentive server. Came here this past weekend for a late brunch. We were sat at a table in the back. The room was extremely warm and stuffy. It was a hot day but I'm pretty sure it was hotter in this room than outside. We were given Lukewarm water, no ice. I kept asking for ice and the waiter kept giving me a tiny amount. My husband and I were walking along Main Street and we were drawn into this restaurant as we were walking by because it smelled so good haha. Someone came outside and greeted us so kindly and we decided to have lunch here. We were so glad we did. It was also a weekday, so it was not crowded and we were seated right away. The restaurant has a very light and airy ambiance and it felt cozy as it is in it's name. We started off with Argentenian empanadas for appetizers which were small, but delicious. For drinks my husband got the tropical dream smoothie which tasted similar to a pina colada it was sweet and refreshing. I ordered an iced caramel latte which I enjoyed. I got the ribeye steak which was great; it was tender and juicy. It came with mashed potatoes which were tasty and had vegetables on the side. Good food options for Main St but crowded on weekends We came here post hike and it seemed like everyone else was there too, which didn't bode well for hungry bellies and low patience. The other people waiting were mostly crowded near the entrance. It would be nice if they had a texting system to let you know the table was ready or some other organized way to do it. Alas... they have outdoor and indoor seating. If it's not humid or hot out, outdoors is fine but otherwise indoors is more comfortable (no flies either). Overall I think the quality of the food here is better than most other places on Main St even though we weren't blown away. They have a nice little menu of salad, breakfast things, sandwiches and specials. The crispy eggplant sandwich had potential but the bread was a little hard, eggplant a bit hard to chew and the salad slim. The lemon chicken could have been more tender and the veggies less oily but it was still pretty good. Good reviews of the salad with salmon (additional $12!). Someone at another table ordered the fettuccine and that looked very creamy and the portobello burger seems like a good option too. If you like people watching this is also a good street for that... lots of people trying hard to look good, trendy, cool. Very friendly staff and I think they're trying their best. Street parking can be hard to find on weekends and holidays and the traffic cops are around enforcing resident parking and other violations. Our waiters, Stalin and Victor were professional, attentive and very pleasant. Coffee and water was brought to the table almost immediately. Parking on the street can be ( at times) difficult. Now for the food. The huge breakfast Burrito came with some greens and Pico de Gallo super duper tasty. This place is super cute spot on Main Street in Cold Spring. We waited about 15 minutes on a bench right outside. At first we were disappointed because as we waited outside we watched everyone get breakfast orders and the pancakes looked so good but when we were seated we were told it was too busy so they stopped breakfast at 12 (it was about 1230) they said they would be able to do limited items including waffles and steak & eggs. It was just a cutlet of chicken with some pesto drizzled on, arugula and sourdough. The proportion of bread to chicken was all off. The side salad (described by wait staff as "decorative salad") had no dressing whatsoever, not even a drizzle of olive oil. Dining room was overpacked with tables such that front of house staff was constantly bumping into chairs. The mash potatoes and veggies were okay at best. Lacked seasoning outside of the salt and pepper on the table. Fries were good tho. My friends chicken pesto sandwich was not worth the $17 he paid for it. Had a single thin slice of chicken cutlet with a very light drizzle of pesto and arugula.
