This place is super cute spot on Main Street in Cold Spring. We waited about 15 minutes on a bench right outside. At first we were disappointed because as we waited outside we watched everyone get breakfast orders and the pancakes looked so good but when we were seated we were told it was too busy so they stopped breakfast at 12 (it was about 1230) they said they would be able to do limited items including waffles and steak & eggs. The caramel lattes were delicious. Great coffee and flavor. I almost asked what kind they use bc it was so good. We wound up getting the waffles and empanadas both were delicious. Overall, we enjoyed it and will be back so we can try the breakfast items we wanted. read more

Not great, and I believe that this restaurant is now under new management. We arrived expecting a wait, and it was indeed about 30 minutes to be seated, no problem. But, upon being seated we waited over 30 minutes to get any food, and all we ordered were sandwiches. Sandwiches were very mediocre. I got the chicken pesto. It was just a cutlet of chicken with some pesto drizzled on, arugula and sourdough. The proportion of bread to chicken was all off. The side salad (described by wait staff as "decorative salad") had no dressing whatsoever, not even a drizzle of olive oil. Dining room was overpacked with tables such that front of house staff was constantly bumping into chairs. Restroom line for the duration of our stay was always at least 10, and at times more than 15, minutes. The ROI is not worth the hassle. read more

Waited forever for food. One burger came out with actual raw bacon on it and no cheese. The other came out without the onions and ice cold. The eggplant didn't have the ricotta topping. Manager shrugged and walked away when we told him. This was right after the table next to us had just called him over to complain about all three of their meals. Yet, when he moved another party of three people to a smaller table he offered them free dessert. Cozy indeed. Not a big place but walked in at 2:20pm on Sunday and there were a few tables open. Menu was for lunch only, and we split a quinoa salad and burger. The food was a big miss here. Was visiting cold springs with a couple friends and we decided to get brunch Cozy Corner Cafe - it had a swarm of people around waiting to be seated. The wait was 45 min which we were okay with. We walked around main st for a bit before we came back and got seated Wait staff was nice and alert. We sat outside on the side so away from all the noise up front and the crowdedness inside. It was a bit on the chillier side and with the leafs falling, a couple did land on our plates not a big deal. Stepped inside to use the bathroom once and they only have one bathroom - wait was about 5-10 min. Plan accordingly Now for the food which is the driver here. We got the provoleta which had a good taste but for some reason - the cheese was squeaky. Not sure how or if that makes sense but each bit we took we heard it felt like it was squeaking. never experienced this before. The toasts that came with it was seasoned which was nice. For the mains, I got the ribeye with a side of mash potatoes, veggies, and got an extra side of fries. My friends got the chicken pesto sandwich and wild bacon burger. My rib eye was not a ribeye. I don't even know what cut it was but it was tough and flavorless. I asked for medium rare and it was blue. Ate whatever was edible from around the side. The mash potatoes and veggies were okay at best. Lacked seasoning outside of the salt and pepper on the table. Fries were good tho. My friends chicken pesto sandwich was not worth the $17 he paid for it. Had a single thin slice of chicken cutlet with a very light drizzle of pesto and arugula. The wild bacon burger was also subpar at best. The cheese was cold and the bacon was undercooked. She asked for medium rare and it was beyond well done. Our drinks were not any better. Coffee ordered was cold and tasted like instant coffee. If you only get one thing from this review it should be this: Try the Argentinan Empanadas....seriously! Although, you should try everything here too...but those empanadas were so delish! After an early morning hike near Cold Spring, the three of us in my group were starving and tried this adorable cafe. It was a beautiful Sunday, late morning, and we ate on the covered porch. The service and staff were so attentive. We started off with the Argentinan Empanadas which were absolutely delicious and can't wait to go back just to get those again. We ordered the crispy eggplant sandwich, the eggs Benedict and the Avo toast. The presentation was great, they clearly put love into their dishes and they all were quite tasty and filling. I got to talking to the owner, Ramiro, about how good the empanadas were and he takes his phone out and shows me all pics of how they prepare it and that it is a family recipe. We liked Cozy Corner so much we ate there two mornings in a row. We had the Traditional Breakfast and it was fantastic. Our server was so nice and so polite. The staff was eager to please and even though they were experiencing a computer glitch and they were busy they took very good care of our orders. Wonderful wonderful wonderful! We had empanadas ( best I ever ate...... after all, owner is from Argentina), and sweet l/sour cauliflower. Both so delicious. I can't even find Cozy Corner Cafe on Google to leave this review, which is fitting because it's probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. I brought my husband here today for his birthday after traveling all the way from NYC, and from the moment we walked up to the front, we were treated like we didn't even exist. The young white girl at the check-in stand literally refused to acknowledge us. We were standing right in front of her, she clearly saw us, and instead of being polite and asking if we were checking in, she turned her face away. Basic etiquette is that when you walk into a restaurant you wait to be spoken to so you don't interrupt if someone is busy. Except she wasn't busy. She was just ignoring us. My husband even turned to me and asked, "Is this where we check in?" before finally saying something himself. That is not hospitality. Now that I'm reading the Yelp reviews, which I should have done before going to this nasty establishment, I see that others have also mentioned her and how rude she is. Whoever owns this place should really think about the kind of first impression your customers are being met with. Inside, there is no atmosphere whatsoever. The bathroom was absolutely vile. The trash bin was overflowing with exposed bloody tissues and poop-stained toilet paper because apparently they don't want you flushing it. At the very least, cover it up. Nobody should have to see that in a place where they're eating. The food was just as bad as the service. The espresso martini was a cloudy, curdled mess with milk or cream floating in it, completely undrinkable. The ribeye steak was an insult: flavorless, rubbery, and served with a giant hunk of fat that nobody in their right mind would want to eat. I felt like vomiting just looking at the plate. The food had no taste. Both of us left more than half our food and couldn't finish the drinks. Then came the check for over $120 for two nasty meals and two failed martinis. To make it worse, the waiter, who had given nothing more than mid-level service, shoved an iPad in our faces at the end and stared while the default high tip option sat on the screen. The guilt-tipping tactic after awful service and inedible food was the cherry on top of the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. We came to Cold Spring for a special birthday outing, and this place completely ruined it. Absolutely shameful. read more

This was the top 1 place I had to try while visiting this quaint Cold Spring town. My research did not fail me. Ambiance was so warm and cozy, welcoming and so endearing. FOOD- where do I begin. Well for starters, we did the empanada- with chopped up meat and not groundbeef. I will think about those bites for the rest of my life. Had the salmon burger and the milanesas. Very satisfying lunch. The home made key lime pie along with the experience is def worth goin back to cold spring for! Good post-hike place to eat with nice atmosphere and good enough food. The "grilled vegetables" are sautéed and soaked in maybe butter and olive oil and, of course, taste yummy. But I did ask if they were actually grilled vegetables before I ordered them. The friendly server said "well actually they are sautéed". So I decided against them. But she insisted that she would make sure they were "grilled". Okay I'll take them. Nope, not grilled. However the salad was yummy and my wife loved her gazpacho and sweet potato fries. We had high hopes for our late afternoon meal, but were disappointed. Some of the food was decent (the burger and eggplant sandwich) but the dumplings were a very sad plate of food. Watery, tasteless and only 3 for $13. I don't usually write reviews, but the service was so bad it ruined the meal. Our waitress was nice and surely not responsible for our meals coming out at different times (and this after an extensive wait). One of us had finished their meal by the time the last meal came out.
