Enjoyed a beautiful dinner with colleagues/friends at The Wild. From botanically delectable cocktails to a farm to table menu concept that is kept seasonally fresh--this place will wow. I started things off I ordered the sacred gift, which was a lovely spirit forward cocktail made with rye, scotch, toasted rice, pandan, and angostura bitters. It was perfectly balanced and pitch perfect in every way. We ordered their local cheese and zucchini for the table. I loved house made toasted crackers that came with the cheeses. They had a nice nutty flavor that paired well with the cheese, jam, and spiced walnuts. The zucchini was perfectly cooked (grilled, maybe?) and served on a bed of pistachio pistou and topped with grated parmesan. It was definitely a favorite of the table. For my main dish, I got the seared branzino which came with heirloom pomodoro, castelvetrano olives, tarragon, and fennel. It was flavorful and perfectly seared. The service throughout the evening was perfect with our server even taking us up on our request to get a quick snap of our group (so kind!). Highly recommend! A lovely evening is just waiting to be had at this Beacon gem. Get to it! read more

Walked in for a Saturday evening dinner and was able to get seated on the back patio. The restaurant itself is nice and airy, so you don't feel like the place is crowded even when the restaurant is full. There were many solo and couple diners at the bar as well. Service is very friendly and helpful. The food is good. The seared scallops had great bite and the right amount of buttery-ness. The roasted carrots were tasty, and the Wagyu meatloaf was incredibly rich and delicious. The mashed potatoes that came with the meatloaf were also very creamy. The strawberry yuzu tart for dessert was a bit more sour than I anticipated, but still good. read more

I met with some coworkers here, and we were all stunned with the restaurant's lovely ambiance. It was a sunny nice day and the wall was open, so though we sat inside we got to enjoy the fresh air. The menu is a single page but I really struggled to choose since so many things sounded so good. I wound up ordering the Snappea as my cocktail, which had pea and mezcal and tequila. It was presented beautifully, perfectly chilled, and very refreshing. We started with the local cheese board, crudite, and the zucchini (which was our waiter's wonderful recommendation). The cheese board looked a little modest in size but really packed in the flavor and we were all extremely impressed. The vegetables were so fresh in the crudite and the watermelon radishes were especially a hit (our server said they were grown on their farm, as were most of the veggies.) The edamame dip was a surprisingly fitting accompaniment. The zucchini was a table favorite and we all loved the pistachio sauce. I was feeling something refreshing on the steamy evening so I went with two of the smaller plates instead of an entree. The first was the chirashi which consisted of silken tofu, lychee, seasonal vegetables, sriracha aioli, and purple rice. There were some oohs and ahhs as the waiter put it on the table, as it was very cute with the little flowery garnishes. The dish itself was delicious, and I loved the contrast between the cool tofu and lychee and the warm rice. I also got the kale caesar which was enourmous and totally could have been a meal onto itself. Crisp cale, tangy cool dressing, and just the right amount of parmesan. Parking was tricky even on a weeknight but I was able to find a spot with a little bit of walking needed. Also I did have to flick a bug away at one point which is the hazard you take with semi-outdoor dining. The menu is a bit pricey but on par with other restaurants in the area. Regardless, this was a home run of a dinner. The restaurant is really beautiful, the staff is phenomenal and it's obvious they care a lot about what they do. I'd recommend this wonderful eatery to anyone in the Hudson Valley. read more

I had this place bookmarked on Yelp and so glad we finally got to come! First of all, the photos don't do this place justice or even walking by it because inside, it's a whole vibe. A friend said it looked like somewhere in Williamsburg and I couldn't agree more. Came here with friends to enjoy a night of catching up and enjoying delicious drinks and food. We started with some drinks - I got the snap dragon with tequila, mezcal, snap pea juice, vermouth and lime. The presentation was everything! From the local cheese to the crudite (edamame dip + seasonal vegetables). Their seasonal farm to table menu is everything. We were absolutely mind blown by the zucchini with pistachio pesto. From the way it was scored to the way it was cooked to the delicious sauce. A perfect 10! For my entree, I ordered the wild mushroom risotto (great vegetarian options here by the way). My ooooooooonly "complaint" is that it was for sure on the saltier side and waaaaaaaaaay too much garlic for my personal taste. That's the only thing it felt like it took over and overpowered the dish. And my breath lol! HAHA Other than that, can't wait to come back here on a date. The indoor/outdoor space is incredible. Loved dining with the big back garage/style door open so you can be inside but have a bit of the outside with you. This place is incredible and can't wait to try more of their dishes. We got the satay, low and slow, and umami latte with oat milk. The dishes here are simple and really highlight the raw flavor of each ingredient in a dish. The dishes give a farm to table vibe with attempt at giving an asian dish. Nothing really stood out in terms of the food but the drinks are pretty interesting. I love how they were various tea lattes that had hojicha as the tea base. They have an order and then seat yourself system with a lot of table options both indoors and outdoors. Bathrooms were also very clean. Overall, the interior had very cute, open space vibes. read more

I've been a regular at The Wild and have visited many times with my parents for lunch, which is why this review is especially disappointing to write. We ordered a Lumen Tonic, Garden, coffee, satay, two Low & Slow dishes, and an Upstream. The service was friendly as always, and the drinks were good. However, the food was noticeably different from what I've come to expect. The portions were significantly smaller than on previous visits, and several ingredients had been changed. I understand and appreciate the farm-to-table concept and seasonal menu rotations, but this felt less like a thoughtful seasonal update and more like substitutions that diminished the dishes. Earlier this year, the presentation, ingredient balance, and portion sizes were outstanding. This time, all three fell short, and no one at our table enjoyed the meal as much as before. The biggest disappointment, however, was the patio experience. Throughout our lunch, staff repeatedly wheeled leaking garbage bags past our table from the trash storage area, leaving liquid on the ground and a strong odor. The smell was noticeable from the moment we sat down and made what should have been a pleasant outdoor meal much less enjoyable. This seems like an operational issue that deserves immediate attention, as guests should never have to dine next to leaking trash. I've attached photos showing the liquid that leaked from the garbage bags and the location of the trash storage area. I'm also including photos from a previous visit so the owners can see the difference in presentation and portion sizes. I didn't take photos of the food this time because, quite honestly, the dishes were no longer photo-worthy--a stark contrast to my previous visits, when they were both beautiful and generous. I genuinely hope this was an off day because The Wild has been one of my favorite places in the area. The restaurant has a great concept, and the staff has always been welcoming. But if the smaller portions, ingredient changes, and dining experience I had on this visit become the new standard, I'm not sure I'll be returning. Stopped by The Wild while spending the afternoon in Beacon, and it's such a beautiful spot! The area itself has a great energy, and this restaurant fits right in with its stylish, nature-inspired décor and relaxed, modern vibe. The space feels bright and airy -- perfect for a casual lunch or afternoon drink. The lunch portions were decent, though I found myself wishing for a bit more punch in the flavors -- maybe a bolder sauce or some extra seasoning to really bring the dishes to life. That said, everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the presentation was lovely. The bar and patio are definitely highlights -- gorgeous, open, and ideal for a sunny day or evening cocktail. Even with a few small notes on the food, I'd absolutely come back to enjoy the atmosphere and try more from the menu. A solid Beacon stop for a fresh bite and great drinks in a beautiful setting! read more

First time going to The Wild, although I am a frequent caffeine and num-num consumer at Kitchen & Coffee next door (same owner). Was there for dinner and so my review is only for that experience. What I LOVED: 1. The ambience/vibe. 2. Everyone who works there (thanks for the awesome cocktail and the zaftig ice cube, Bri!) 3. The creativity of the dishes. I had the autumn spaetzle -- and not that I'm a spaetzel aficionado or anything, but this is the best I've ever had. It was kind of like German risotto -- butternut squash, sage and parmesan. I really appreciated the balance in flavors; sage can overpower any dish, especially when it's fresh. But this was perfect and filling. We also had a spiced chocolate creme brûlée that had the sweet crunch on top, was fluffy inside and had a wee bit of a kick to it. We also ordered a Matcha coconut ice cream, and the combination of the two was bangin'. 4. The bread. Okay, how do you rave about bread? It wasn't regular bread -- it was like magical unicorn bread that was soft and perfect and I may or may not have dreamt about it last night. Don't judge me. Things I'd ask folks to consider: 1. The chicken a la plancha -- I don't think this was a them thing, but a my taste thing. ("It's not you, it's me!"). The turnip puree gave it a bit of a funky taste and the consistency of the chicken was a little weird for my palate. One of the people who ordered it didn't finish it. So not bad -- just not for us. 2. She's expensive. Not that it isn't deserved -- but just wanted to offer a heads up to folks that this is a place you don't go to weekly -- more special occasion or once in a while. The alcohol alone (which is a great selection) will set you back a pretty penny, especially if you have more than one drink. Not a complaint -- honestly, just something for you to know in advance. #YouGetWhatYouPayFor They're still relatively new, and I really hope they expand their menu with additional choices. If I could give the service a 0, that would be more accurate. Our initial waitress was super nice, took our drink order and then never returned. Not sure if it was a shift change or she was kidnapped but we never saw her again and no one took her place; a different person finally brought us food and asked us if we'd wanted another drink, but at that point we were starving and ready to leave. We waited over an hour for our food, which seemed odd since we ordered carrots, and zuccini; we'd arrived early before 6 and were one of a handful of tables in there so we were confused as to why it took so long; We had to flag someone down for a check. Not sure where their breakdown was in service, but we paid and let people know but they didn't seem to care. The ambience is nice. When the food did arrive it was good. Carrots were undercooked despite the hour wait for them :) sauces were good, risotto was also good. Probably wouldn't recommend or return do to negligent service. read more

We weren't planning on it, but The Wild Kitchen & Bar totally pulled us in with its awesome modern look. The vibe inside is super stylish and welcoming. First impressions were spot-on: efficient, cool, and seriously tasty. I got the Bahn Mira bowl and added the grass-fed beef, which exceeded my expectations! It was so tender it literally fell apart on my fork. The bowl itself was packed with fresh, crunchy veggies like cucumber and radishes, and the sauce was perfect - not too much, not too little. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well-made. It is a farm-to-table restaurant, after all. The only heads-up I'd give is that the portions are on the lighter side. I definitely wasn't starving when I left, but I could have eaten a little more. It's perfect for a lighter dinner, but maybe grab a starter if you're super hungry. Definitely recommend this place for a date night or a nice dinner with friends. The quality is top-notch! read more

It's one of those places where as soon as you walk through the revolving doors you hope this is going to be as good as this first look. The Wild is modern and cool and open with a magnificent bar. Banquets line the outer wall in a serpentine wave in cool beiges and neutrals. We ordered the braised cabbage - OMG - with a nori aioli cream. Perfectly cooked and good for a table. We also shared the cashew Caesar - with kale and parmesan - lovely. The short rib was spectacular. A large meaty rib surrounded by polenta with a great taste of tamari. The chicken was delish as well with parsnip puree. So, for 4 people we had 3 mains 1 salad 1 veg and we shared the spiced chocolate creme brulee which was very, very good. We also had a total of 5 glasses of wine - the wine list was great. Oh, the service was incredible. Yes, the bill was over $300 for 4 - well deserved but it's more of a special occasion place for dinner in Beacon. Now, for lunch - that is probably something I would do instead in the upcoming months. This is the place to go for 2026. As Beacon grows so does its sophistication and options. So based on the pictures I saw, I thought this was going to be a restaurant not a cafe. However, when we walked in no one even looked up to greet us or let us know where to order. Maybe if you don't want to speak to customers you could put a little "order here" sign. It was further confused when we realized we had to order drinks at a separate bar. After looking it up they do advertise as counter service at lunch and wait service at dinner but one shouldn't assume your customers rigorously google your business before setting foot inside. We ordered the low and slow and the chilled sesame noodles and for a side we got the hummus and crackers. The bowls were decent albeit small portions. I liked the noodles but my husband left about half his beef as he said it was tough and chewy. Also unfortunately, the hummus might've been the worst hummus I've ever had in my life. It had a sour, off taste and the texture was awful, it was like play doh thickness but chunky and extremely grainy. It was also orange for some reason? I asked the runner what was in it and she said tahini and chickpeas and when I asked why it was that color she said "maybe sumac?" I don't know if maybe I don't like sumac but the taste and texture were nowhere near what you'd expect from a creamy hummus. The crackers were offensive too and tasted like cardboard. I've had excellent GF crackers before so I can't use that an excuse, these are just poorly done. We couldn't finish this dish. For drinks- we both ordered the Hot Lips which was advertised as a spicy margarita-esque drink that included mezcal and they weren't good either. It was watered down, had no spice whatsoever and also no Smokey taste which you hope to get with a mezcal cocktail. I didn't even finish mine. We LOVE kitchen and coffee's food so had very high hopes for this place but the food was low average and the disorganized service counters show they definitely still have some growing pains to get through. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the outdoor patio was perfect. I love the decor and the seamless mix of modern and bohemian styles. However it seems this spot has the looks but not the food or drink to go with it. We would be open to giving this spot a try at dinner time just to see if maybe that menu and experience is a bit more refined to match the space. read more

Went for drinks and dessert one day (5pm)... that was great. Went during the day (1:00) and did not like the setup at all. Ordered food at counter...tip...they bring food...ordered drinks at bar...wait for drinks...tip. That's tipping twice but had no waiter. If you want something sweet after lunch you have to go find seating and order at the counter of the cafe...and tip again. (We left with out something sweet) read more

We moved to AZ at the start of the year but knew we would be back for the holidays. The Wild popped up in my feed in October and I knew we had to check it out. They didn't disappoint. The ambience was perfect for these dark winter nights and the staff was very hospitable shout out to Dustin on that front. The compote that came with the fresco cheese was spoonable by itself, the miso cabbage was incredible, creamy, crunchy, tender umami. Could've eaten the whole stock of cabbage. And their chicken with the parsnip Gruyère puree was damn near a master class in flavor. Rounded the whole meal out with the spicy chocolate crème brûlée which suffice to say if the creator of that dish opened up a shop selling just that I would be first in line every day. Only regret is going back to AZ until the next reason to come back to the hometown. I know you'll are relatively new so all the best and keep crushing it. read more
