This was a fantastic meal. We got the futur medley, I highly recommend. It covers with a bunch of different dishes and pita to sample everything. I ordered the shawarma and my partner got the mujaddara, both were some of the best we've had. We'll definitely be coming back when we're craving great Mediterranean food. Very pleasant experience. the restaurant is small. We went on a Friday because the lines are always too long on the weekends. We had the Mezze plate which were nine little dishes filled with goodies. The felafel was fresh, the baba and the hummus was nice. There was a bean dish as well. Some of the dishes had olive oil or zaatar and were more condiments than food. The food-I already knew what I wanted, falafel, hummus, shawarma & okra stew. The falafel was dense in my opinion, the hummus was average, the okra was good but not great, I liked the flavor of the beef/lamb shawarma but my husband commented it was dry. The rice had cinnamon in it, & at first I didn't mind it but later it seemed to overwhelm the dishes. As far as the presentation everything looked great. Service- There was one person seating, taking orders & manning the register. He was looking on his phone a couple times which isn't a huge deal but when we wanted to order & check out we had to physically go & get him. It is a small space with limited tables (even more limited as it gets colder out, since they had some tables outdoors). There were two staff members running the front of house, and were SUPER efficient that I was in awe! We ordered the - Addas soup (red lentil soup) - Falafel mezze - Chicken Shwarma wrap - Kofta burger with za'atar fries We were STUFFED by the end of our meal, but we have no regrets! The soup was delicious and perfect for a brisk fall day. The falafel had a crispy exterior and a good appetizer. Our entrees came out quickly after the apps. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger which came with a TON of fries, so both of us shared those throughout the night. The za'atar fries had a lot of seasoning. I loved my chicken schwarma wrap. The wrap stayed hot the entire meal, which I appreciated. The chicken was seasoned so well, and loved the pickled turnips and pickles in the wrap as well, giving some crunch and vinegar taste that balanced out the rest of the wrap flavors. Despite the restaurant being packed at only 4pm on a Sunday, the staff did an excellent job as they were super friendly, efficient, and attentive to all their customers. Food 8/10 It was a 50 minutes wait but in the meantime, we got to explore the town. When we finally got seated, we ordered the chicken shawarma and kofta burger. The chicken shawarma had a nice char, was tender, and tasted so good with hummus and bita. The restaurant sent us a text and when we arrived there was a table waiting for us. the service was awesome very kind and laid back The ambiance is quite cozy and a bit cramped spaces but it works nonetheless. it was nice interior and allure to it. good vibes for sure! For food, we got Mansef and Shawarma with Baba Ganoush as the base. The Mansef was chicken (they ran out of lamb). It was deliciously seasoned and very warm perfect for the season. Consider this a review of the now two times I've been to Ziatun!! I was shocked to see that I did not review them when I first went to visit with my partner back in June. This recent time I went I grabbed the Vegan Shawarma wrap, which was incredibly rich with flavor! We drove about an hour to have dinner here and it was so worth it! Finally tried their vegan shawarma on the go, with the za'atar fries. I can imagine it would be a much better experience dining in with everything laid out to share; but no complaints! After a bright start at DIA:Beacon, I started getting peckish and the curator I spoke to said that Ziatun was a good place to go and replenish my nutrients with Near-Eastern fare. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Ziatun was popping, but they were able to seat me at a table by the sunny window (pro-tip: this spot gets a little bright, so be sure to draw the curtains to prevent overheating and sunburn). Both waiters were wearing shirts that said "Habibi" in Arabic and English which were a nice touch. The balding zaddy waiter took my order quickly and within 5 minutes I had my lamb shawarma wrap with zaatar fries (I also opted for hummus being included in the wrap for an extra 1$). The shawarma was legit -- the flavours and textures were all on point and the tahini/hummus combo inside was perfect. My only issue was that the meat slices were a bit too large at times, and so it was sometimes hard to chew through the tendony bits. The Zaatar fries were also yummy, but you probably won't finish all of this, even if you come starving. P.S. Be careful when handling, as I got a big stream of sauce dripped onto my pants. read more

I came in solo before a show at the cultural center. Its small and intimate inside but I asked to sit outside. I was seated right away and provided a menu. I ordered a spritz drink which came out quickly and was so tasty! I ordered the appetizer sampler which was larger than I anticipated but had a variety of things to try with pita. Their fries are always perfectly seasoned and wraps make for the perfect lunch. They do have some variety in different dishes they serve which is great because you'll have plenty of options! The staff is always kind and helpful every time I've gone. The place is rather small, so depending on the day and time you go there can be a bit of a wait time for a table. That was probably the juiciest chicken kebab I've had! It's kinda amazing how tender and juicy they were able to get that chicken kebab- a total feat for chicken breast! Amazing lunch! My boyfriend and I got the Sitto's soup, which was a delicious and cozy way to warm up on a wintery day. He got the burger which was AMAZING, with stellar za'tar fries and a yummy sauce. I admittedly had a little food envy. There is absolutely nothing else like this place. I've always enjoyed going into Beacon, and every single time we always make it here for lunch. The most recent time I went, it was a Thursday and the town wasn't too crowded. We didn't have to wait for a table and were immediately seated and served. To share, my table ordered the tabouleh, za'atar fries, and Palestinian olives. For my main, I ordered the mujaddarah with chicken. While I didn't order it, this restaurant is the only place where I have found the option to order mansaf with chicken instead of lamb, which I really appreciated and I hope to try another time. For a drink, I ordered the rose lemonade. All of the food was amazing and tasted fresh. The crispy onions on top of my main dish (the mujaddarah) were a really nice touch. Do not order the $25 lamb kebab- just like recent reviews: rubbery, overcooked like it's reheated. We ASKED could we get it cooked to order and asked for it medium well. It came out super well done and tasted old. Server only apologized and said I have your bill right here. So he got a RARE 15% tip- we'd be foolish to leave more.
