Cozy spot for Palestinian eats on Beacon Main Street, portions are decently large -- would recommend family style! The restaurant isn't super large, would recommend putting name down and walking around. Labne, Baba Ganoush, Halloumi and Falafel were clear standouts, everything baseline delicious.

A great spot after a nearby hike. Super flavorful and satisfying. Still thinking about these crispy, well-seasoned za'tar fries! Anything with Lamb is going to be flavorful! We absolute cleared it! Seating is a bit limited, nut the outdoor options aren't too bad if warm outside!

Delicious food! We tried the fries, lentil soup, and wraps. All were fresh and satisfying. If you are looking for excellent food and service, this place is worth stopping at. Prices are reasonable as well. If you sit outside, you get a nice view of the mountains!

From the top, lamb/beef Shawarma, Bamia- Okra Stew, & Falafel w/House Hummus.

I've had better... The space -What looked like the potential to be a hidden gem was just OK. The space is very small, seating maybe 10-12 people total. The food-I already knew what I wanted, falafel, hummus, shawarma & okra stew. The falafel was dense in my opinion, the hummus was average, the okra was good but not great, I liked the flavor of the beef/lamb shawarma but my husband commented it was dry. The rice had cinnamon in it, & at first I didn't mind it but later it seemed to overwhelm the dishes. As far as the presentation everything looked great. Service- There was one person seating, taking orders & manning the register. He was looking on his phone a couple times which isn't a huge deal but when we wanted to order & check out we had to physically go & get him. There are some amazing places in NY to get Lebanese/middle eastern food, this place unfortunately is not one of them.

My partner and I journeyed to Beacon from the city for a day trip! Of course we had to enjoy a meal before we left! We heard good things about Ziatun, and since it was off-peak dining hours, we wanted to take our chances given Ziatun is a popular spot. Thankfully a table was open indoors as soon as we arrived! It is a small space with limited tables (even more limited as it gets colder out, since they had some tables outdoors). There were two staff members running the front of house, and were SUPER efficient that I was in awe! We ordered the - Addas soup (red lentil soup) - Falafel mezze - Chicken Shwarma wrap - Kofta burger with za'atar fries We were STUFFED by the end of our meal, but we have no regrets! The soup was delicious and perfect for a brisk fall day. The falafel had a crispy exterior and a good appetizer. Our entrees came out quickly after the apps. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger which came with a TON of fries, so both of us shared those throughout the night. The za'atar fries had a lot of seasoning. I loved my chicken schwarma wrap. The wrap stayed hot the entire meal, which I appreciated. The chicken was seasoned so well, and loved the pickled turnips and pickles in the wrap as well, giving some crunch and vinegar taste that balanced out the rest of the wrap flavors. Despite the restaurant being packed at only 4pm on a Sunday, the staff did an excellent job as they were super friendly, efficient, and attentive to all their customers. Loved my experience dining here!

Really enjoyed my experience here. The staff were friendly and did a good job of managing busy restaurant, which was packed the entire time we were there. The atmosphere is cozy- you feel like you're being welcomed into someone's home. The food was great- well-seasoned and very filling. Recommend: Kofta Burger, Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Falafel, Addas (Lentil) Soup

Food 8/10 It was a 50 minutes wait but in the meantime, we got to explore the town. When we finally got seated, we ordered the chicken shawarma and kofta burger. The chicken shawarma had a nice char, was tender, and tasted so good with hummus and bita. The kofta burger was also quite delicious, their fries had a seasoning that made me actually want to eat fries. Atmosphere 6/10 It felt a bit stuffy inside, but it was also raining that day. The bathroom was too small :( Service 6/10 I know it was only two guys handling all the servers, so totally understand that that was the reason it was a bit slow. They seemed so stressed out so kudos to them for running a restaurant :(

Went here after a fall festivities day and was in a waitlist for around 45mins. During that time we explored Beacon area. The restaurant sent us a text and when we arrived there was a table waiting for us. the service was awesome very kind and laid back The ambiance is quite cozy and a bit cramped spaces but it works nonetheless. it was nice interior and allure to it. good vibes for sure! For food, we got Mansef and Shawarma with Baba Ganoush as the base. The Mansef was chicken (they ran out of lamb). It was deliciously seasoned and very warm perfect for the season. The shawarma on the other hand was stone cold on the baba ghanoush which was a disappointment. i've had this dish many times before and the protein is usually sizzling hot. it was not that good. At the end we got Black tea and Herbal Mint tea. the black tea was lukewarm while the mint tea was on point. i've had better (kanye shrug) 7/10 B rating

    All the food we got

Do not get shawarma - they served some diced meat marinade in Lemmon and pan fried , not shawarma at all , - server did offered different dish but we were not hungry or wanted to try something else as we got full of the appetizer that came with small difrent dips .It was good , a lot of difrent salads , and mint tea had mint , loved it , very cute little place- Come for the appetizers , mint lemonade was very lemony - if you like lots of lemon sour flavor I would highly recommend it

Consider this a review of the now two times I've been to Ziatun!! I was shocked to see that I did not review them when I first went to visit with my partner back in June. This recent time I went I grabbed the Vegan Shawarma wrap, which was incredibly rich with flavor! We drove about an hour to have dinner here and it was so worth it! I ordered some Palestinian Lemon Lime soda this time and that was quite good! If you're from the city like I am and visiting the Beacon area, I would very highly recommend this spot!

Some of the best food I've had in a while. Awesome gluten free and vegetarian options. The fries are seasoned to perfection and not greasy at all. The seasonings and dips are amazing. I love the decor and the music. The staff is super nice and helpful with ordering. Their wait system is super efficient as well. I'm glad they're keeping busy and filling diners with amazing food. I wish I lived closer.

But it's not a big gripe because the food is always well seasoned even if it isn't peppery. Great service and friendly staff at this Sri Lankan restaurant…read more The manager/owner used to be a chef at the UN after traveling the world for various stints after leaving Sri Lanka at age 25. He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).

I'm usually disappointed by more matcha or coffee shops than usual however State Thomas has proved me wrong. First off this place is so simple, chic and aesthetic. I love the long tables that allow for bigger groups and just a collaborative family like setting. On both sides of the windows, there's also seating available too which is appreciated. The cute notepad wall filled with positive affirmations and sayings are such a sweet touch especially during the holiday season. The fact that you are able to choose your sweetness is one of the most simplest yet thoughtful things shops that sell matcha can do. It''s really customer centric which I appreciate. I ordered the matcha thomas with oat milk and 100% sweetness. The drink had the perfect color, has notes of coconut and vanilla and although it was 100% sweetness it was still subtle. There has to be some type of coconut cream or milk given the flavor and texture and its sooo yummy and refreshing. On a trip to Colorado, Kihlmire visited a shop that featured an abundance of books and records. He came up with an idea to open a similar shop that would also feature craft beer. Kihlmire initially opened The Vinyl Room by himself in Wappingers Falls. In addition to beer, records, and video games, customers could also enjoy pizza by ordering it through a special window that connected to the Wagon Wheel next door. Although the concept was well-received, the small space and constraints from the landlord limited the full potential of the business. In July 2021, it moved to a new space at 344 Main Street in Beacon. Customers could order food from Roma Nova across the street. Unfortunately, the space was still too small and the owners received numerous noise complaints from apartment tenants upstairs. In August 2023, The Vinyl Room moved down the street to 393 Main Street to their third (and hopefully forever) location. For the latest version of the business, childhood friend Kane Licari came on board as a partner. This also marks the first time that The Vinyl Room features a kitchen with their own food. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, rice bowls, tacos, wings, and various bar bites. In addition to craft beer, the bar also serves wine, craft cocktails, and mocktails. I recently visited The Vinyl Room for lunch with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. Any place that features craft beer, records, and classic arcade cabinets sounds like Heaven to someone like me. I really liked the whole vibe of the interior with the industrial design and all of the pop culture and music references. My sons and I grabbed a booth and looked over the menu. For food, I had the "Crunchy Chicken Bowl" (sushi rice, pickled onions, avocado, arugula, charred corn, chili garlic crunch, creamy garlic sauce), my older son had the "Grilled Cheese" (Vermont white cheddar, havarti, slow roasted onions, roasted garlic butter, sourdough), and my younger son had the "Return of The Mac" (smoked gouda Vermont cheddar cream, buttery breadcrumbs). We were all very happy with our choices! To drink, I had a draught pour of Upward Brewing's "Summer Camp" (Helles Lager). After finishing our delicious meal, I scrolled through the impressive record collection. Then we all headed downstairs to have a blast in the arcade. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Equilibrium Brewery's "Tidal Balance" (Double IPA; collab w/ Sand City Brewing). We all had such a fun experience at The Vinyl Room and we hope to return in the future!

Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !
