We go here every year for our St Patrick's Day dinner corned beef and cabbage with Irish soda bread. We were a little disappointed with tonight's dinner because the corned beef was very tough it wasn't tender like it normally was and it just didn't have much flavor to it. Stopped in the day after Thanksgiving to grab some lunch with my husband. We have been sleeping on this place! They bad a lot of great lunch specials for only $15. I got the cowboy bbq brisket sandwich and he got the French dip. Both came with fries and a soup. Oh and bought cocktails too--both were great. Food quality / price (value) rating 8.5. The atmosphere is country steakhouse. I sat at the bar, and had the Grilled Pork Chops with sweet green beans (very nice) and a baked potato. The chops were not real good cuts, pretty thin, and had quite a bit of fat and inedible substances, but at $23, it was okay. I also had a Blackberry Blastini from their creative cocktail list, that was uniqie and excellent but very sweet. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich; the beef wasn't thin sliced ; no cheese in the sandwich, and the meat tasted old, like it was a leftover taken out of the refrigerator and heated for the sandwich. It wasn't on a roll; the sandwich was on a hamburger roll. Besides being overpriced, I would definitely not recommend eating at this restaurant. read more

This place has been on a steady decline. Every time I go it's just worst than the last. Today I ordered a blue cheese and bacon burger. The burger meat tasted like it was about to turn and the bacon tasted like old grease (whatever they cooked it in) the burger bun was day old hard on outside and doughy on the inside. We were the only diners in the seating area and we were completely being bombarded by flies. Swatting flies with one hand while holding a burger with the other. To end the experience they are now charging 4% to use your credit card- and don't tell you they just add it to the bill. Guess what Daddy-O's? That 4% is coming out of the tip because I'm not paying it. I won't be returning to this joint today was the final straw. I will wait patiently until the next restaurant opens here. read more

Rode my bike from Highland to Hopewell and discovered Daddy O's right off the Rail Trail. Service was excellent and food even better. Some of the best clam chowder I've ever tried. Reasonable prices too, which is nearly impossible to find these days. Stop here and enjoy! read more

Daddy O's for me was a discovery many years back. The first time coming here felt like I should have known about it sooner. My friends and I were seated right away as we came in and had great seats. The layout is very durable especially for a large amount which was a big plus for us. There is also another room for additional seating and even outside. The service and food were great, but I found most of the items to be a bit pricey for my liking. I ordered the Daddy O's Cheeseburger medium rare and was very impressed with the taste and juiciness. That I'd recommend to anyone. Due to COVID restrictions, we were only provided with one menu. We then asked for another one since we had a big party. Overall, I give a 5 for food and service. Haven't been here in years, now I know why. Ordered Ribs and a Gyro for takeout. The place was dead. The ribs were inedible, Looked as if they have been reheated numerous times and lived under a heat lamp. Then they poured BBQ to on them, they didn't event paint it on them. It was just left where the bottle poured it on. The mash potatoes turned into a lump within 10 mins. The GYRO was ok. I will not be back. read more

So my son and I stoped on the Rail Trail and he needed to charge his one wheel board so we could get back home. They would not allow us to plug in so he could charge his board. The food was ok but the hospitality was terrible. I don't get it. They could not share one outlet for 40 minutes. We offered to pay for the electricity! We won't go there again . read more

This was a great dining experience. I had the slab of ribs and my daughter had the turkey burger. The ribs wet very moist, seasoned well and fell off the bone. I didn't need a knife for anything! The barbecue sauce was slamming. It came with baked potato an corn on the cob. This was a lot of food and I could only eat a third of it. My daughters burger so very tasty and grilled well. I don't like anybody's turkey burger except hers but I will order one from there again. The slaw was great as well as the sweet potato fries. We try to support local business, especially during post-COVID time and decided to try Daddy O's for a casual dinner. The parking lot was empty, which was a warning sign, but we proceeded. The dining room was practically empty, and it was a Saturday evening. The service was good, and that was the only positive. The food was horrible. My dad and I had Smothered Chicken, which was dry and had no taste whatsoever. We had to dump salt and pepper on the dish to make it edible. My husband had a buffalo chicken wrap, that was runny and soupy. He said it felt like they tossed lettuce, tomatoes and chicken in a bowl, dumped the buffalo sauce and put that into a wrap. The first event was booked 6 hours before arriving and they were able to comfortably accommodate 35-40 people. The service, staff and food was outstanding. The 2nd event was a party of 50 people. They did up the space for us amazingly, everything set ready to go. Cold drinks hot delicious food and amazing service. What I enjoyed most was they asked me before opening the buffet line or taking the cake out. It ran so smoothly. Also there was no one breaking down tables while we were still there. I read a review from 4years ago and I can't disagree, not sure what happened to this place. The paella is not suppose to be like soup. The lettuce on the plate was chopped so small it was like confetti and much of it was brown and lifeless. The one slice of tomato was barely ripe and flavorless. Our waitress was ok, zero personality. When I asked our server what was their extra special dish ... Everything apparently. She took our order, served it and checked in periodically. Never cracked a smile. Overall the burgers were good, fries were good (minus those in pickle juice). Cold slaw was ok if a bit too stringy to suit me, the pickle was good. They had a nice looking selection of desserts, but we were not offered any Burgers were good, place looked nice though it was freezing cold, as we're the lovely marble table tops. I would have liked some cake, but that didn't seem to be an option. ??? Might try it again. $40 for two burgers, one soda and large tip seemed a bit much.
