My Wife and I have both had Farmers and Chefs bookmarked in Yelp for quite some time, so finally heading over was so exciting. It was a beautiful day so we headed to the patio. Love the indoor/outdoor bar area. I ordered a dirty martini. Made perfectly. We shared the Farmer's Wings, oysters on a half shell and a mixed green salad with Goat Cheese, soooooo good. My Wife also went with the Salmon & garlic mash served with green beans. Hella Good. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Our server, a very kind gentleman, who's name a cannot remember made our experience even more incredible by going above and beyond to direct the umbrellas just so that the sun wasn't in my Wife's eyes and our view of the walkway wasn't blocked. We sat outside and it was mostly pleasant, aside from some pesky mosquitos -- citronella candles or similar would be helpful to have on the tables. I got the 50/Cut Burger on a bed of mixed greens (no GF bun option), and it was super tasty albeit slightly overcooked. The shoestring fries were also good. The Negroni I ordered had a good balance of flavors but I always prefer a big rock of ice vs. chipped ice, which waters down the drink too fast. But they supplied a legit Luxardo cherry, and that certainly elevated the experience. The service was fast & friendly. I enjoyed it, and would return to try some of the other menu items.

We were able to get last minute reservations for prime dinner time at Fishkill Prime. Upon arrival we saw that they had decorated nicely for the occasion. We were given a choice of which dining room to be seated in. Sadly, I was on medication that I can't mix with liquor, so it was just a Diet Coke for me. They were offering complementary wine spritzers to all the mothers. We ordered the escargot and Brussels sprouts to start. The escargot was good, but the Brussels sprouts were the star of the show! My husband makes incredible Brussels sprouts at home, even he had to admit that these were far superior to his own. For our entrees I ordered the duck and it was amazing. My husband ordered the ribeye. He said it was very good but a little on the salty side. Our daughter ordered the sea bass and said it was very good. This is definitely a great place for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion. We will definitely be back and I will try their cocktails when we do.

That said, the staff handled the situation very well and were extremely attentive and accommodating when we sent the soup back. The main entrées were much better and really saved the experience. I had the sea bass, my husband ordered the ribeye, and my sister-in-law had the veal -- all were hot, flavorful, and cooked very well. The veal was especially tender. Service throughout the evening was excellent, and you can tell the team is trying hard to make this newer restaurant successful. Overall, while the appetizers and overall execution didn't quite match the upscale price point yet, the entrées and attentive staff gave us enough reason to come back and give them another try. Hopefully, with a little refinement, especially on the starters, they can grow into the fine dining experience they're aiming for.

I don't know how they could have achieved this level of excellent service and fine dining when they have only been open since September, 2025, but wow!
