They definetly deserve 5 stars Brunch sitting outside on a wonderful sunny day and enjoying a wonderful attentive service from our waiter Brad and delicious food, what more can we ask? Fried artichoke Benedict were on point" runny" as requested with a delicious sauce. Eggs in purgatory ( Italian Shakshuka) were so very yummy, that I thought our friend was going to lick the plate! Came with delicious Herb Roasted potatoes and semolina bread. The Melanzane Flatbread ( not in the Brunch menu) was a huge and delicious flatbread with yummy toppings. Sicilian Breakfast sandwich was devoured in no time, came with Italian Herb roasted potatoes. Can't wait to go back. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Love it here!!! I've been a fan of the Kingston locations and love the fact this spot is close to work. They have a great lunch menu. I've enjoyed sandwiches and pizza so far. I'm looking forward to dropping by for happy hour specials and some oysters on Thursday. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside and there is seating outside. If you want a drink, they have an excellent cocktail menu. Haven't had a sangria yet, but it looks delicious. Quick service and excellent staff. read more

It's been awhile since we've been here needed to start out 2026 with a night out and Not Disappointed at all. I had Hot Honey Calamari Salad for starters it was HUGE and a Ton of Calamari cooked perfectly, not chewy, and perfect texture. Had a bowl the wedding soup nice portion needed salt and pepper but very good. They do need to season the meatballs zero flavor. Chris our server was excellent, very polite and sensitive. Oh did I mention, go on Wine Wednesday, bottles are 1/2 off. read more

We stopped for lunch at Savona's and ate outside on an overcast but beautiful day. I had a Savona's Old Fashioned, which was made to perfection. Very delicious. On Thursday's they do $1 raw oysters, so I had to try those. The oysters were very fresh and tasted great. They were served with lemon, cocktail sauce and mignonette. I opted for the mignonette, which was even better than I've had in Newport, RI. The meatball parmigiana was excellent. This was served in semolina italian bread. The bread was perfection, with a crunchy crust and soft interior. The Caesar salad was a touch overdressed, but that is just a personal preference. It still tasted great, just a bit too wet. The Salmon BLT was also very tasty, but a little scarce on the Salmon meat. A suggestion would be to charge a little more, and bump up the amount of Salmon on this sandwich. Our server Jerry was great. Very attentive and polite. There was a small issue with the order, which he quickly addressed. read more

I enjoyed this spot. I came here for brunch on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded at all. The sever was very friendly and attentive. I got the artichoke Benedict and it was great! The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. They had guitarists playing, which added to the atmosphere. read more

Our meal last week was so good it brought us back for more just six days later. This time we ordered the Lasagna, Shrimp Scampi, the Classic Franseca, and Nonna's Famous Sunday Sauce, with a crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert. Our service was fantastic and the atmosphere was top notch! read more

The outside seating was lovely with beautiful flowers and nice seating. We chose to eat inside just to be out of the sun for awhile. We were seated with menus and our server came over very quickly. She took our drink order and appetizer order and we needed a few more minutes to decide on our meals. The bar was beautiful and so was the interior, with very comfortable chairs and fresh flowers on the tables. We split an appetizer of eggplant stacked with tomatoes and mozzarella with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. We had it cold but it also can be served warm. It was delicious, but next time I think I'd prefer the eggplant warm. I had an eggplant rollatini with spinach ricotta cheese and penne. The homemade sauce was beautifully seasoned, the pasta was all dente and the layers of thin eggplant with spinach and ricotta was excellent. (The rollatini was layered not rolled). My friend ordered a wood fired pizza loaded with pepperoni, ricotta and hot honey. This is a new taste for her and she loved it. The bread was like open garlic knots..it was crispy on the outside soft and pillowy inside soaking up beautiful garlic butter. Service was perfect, and food came out in a timely manner... dishes were cleared as needed and water was refilled. We each took home a small to-go container and I'm looking forward to the leftovers. Our server was amazing, she was working tables inside and outside and both sides of the dining room. read more

Ordered an order of Nonna's Sunday Sauce through Grubhub... For the price it looked like a childs order... Small. Discription said with Nonna's famous Meatballs (plural) and sausage. It came with 1 meatball and 1 sausage. I also ordered a house side salad for an extra $4.95...salad never arrived. I called and a person with the name Z said she would take it off the bill or i could drive 5 miles to pick it up. Don't people have real names anymore? Very disappointed compared to a few years ago when we started going there. Was supposed to be a medium heat sauce.... It was mild. So bad for a place we loved. Looks like we may have to look elsewhere to a place that has pride in the food and attention to the order. read more

From the time I called to make the to my arrival at the restaurant the staff were kind and friendly. It's a beautiful atmosphere with a nice decor. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the lasagna and it was to die for. I had the calamari and it was THEE BEST I have ever had. My granddaughter had the penne pasta with crispy chicken and she loved it. My son had chicken parm and he devoured it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is hungry and wants their stomach truly satisfied. We drove 70 miles to get here. read more

I had gotten take out from this place once and wasn't that impressed but decided to give it another chance for dine-in. I was seated and had my order taken very quickly since it wasn't busy. However it took extremely long to get our food. During that time nobody came to check on us, which I personally didn't mind since I don't like being disturbed while eating. After we finished eating, we couldn't find anyone to get us the check. All the employees were standing in the back talking. We were eventually able to flag down a busser who was able to get our waitress. Once we finally got the check we had to wait again to ask someone to get us change. We were there for 2 hours and spent probably 20-30 minutes of it actually eating. Very slow service, but the atmosphere was nice. We got a truffle mushroom pizza, shrimp scampi, and a mushroom risotto. The food looked amazing but unfortunately did not taste that way. The risotto had no flavor and the shrimp scampi had huge slices of unevenly cooked garlic. The truffle mushroom pizza was decent but a little soggy. The complimentary garlic bread was extremely hard to chew. read more

Savona's food is always excellent! Their wait staff is usually very good too. I love their pepperoni chicken parm dinner.

We stopped in Savona's on a Friday evening and took our seats outside on the sidewalk. The seating was comfortable and accessible. Our waitress, Sarah, was delightful- I perfect mixture of attentiveness without being overbearing. Our food was absolutely delicious. Won't get into details. Last time we ate at this establishment the food was not very good. I Emailed the owner twice, got no response, I guess they don't care about the people that have been going here since the they opened. read more

After touring Vassar College and driving all over Poughkeepsie looking for a good spot for dinner, we decided to trust a Yelp review and try Savona's Trattoria, which is right across the street from Vassar. We were really impressed. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was outstanding, and we loved our meals. I'm still thinking about my fantastic Eggplant Rollatini weeks after visiting this restaurant. Parking was easy for a Friday evening, and outdoor seating in front of the restaurant was available (but we were happy with a high top table inside near the entrance). read more

Went here for Easter Brunch, Food and Service was outstanding, I will definitely go there again, I highly recommend this establishment.

I was looking forward to visiting this space as I loved one location. I love the restaurant space. But I felt the food was not up to the mark. My husband and I ordered fig and cheese pizza the toppings were good but as time passed the pizza base became more like a biscuit. We ordered pasta which was okay as it lacked flavor but then when we asked the server to add veggies he accommodated our request. The drinks were good. Also unlimited bread basked until your order arrives! read more

The Poughkeepsie Savona's the old Beech Tree restaurant space and brightened up the decor in a more modern style. Any Savona's location always has outstanding food and this location is no different. We had lasagna, pizza and a side Caesar salad --all served at the appropriate temperatures. It was Wednesday so half priced wine was an option and we had a bottle of Brunello for under $40 --great price. Two issues: service was on the slow side and off-street parking is a challenge as the restaurant is right next to Vassar College, If you're not in a rush, this is a great choice for Italian food. read more

Place was great. Had my sister's birthday here and my entire family loved their food. I had the penne alla vodka and it was amazing. The portion was a little small compared to others but the taste definitely made up for it. The service was pretty quick and our server was nice. The place was also very nice looking, the bar, Vassar college out the window and the music was a good match. This place is a must for Italian lovers and a good place for events. Would recommend to anyone. read more

The garlic bread that came out first was delicious, pizza was really good and unique flavor combos, fried calamari was nice and tender and fresh. The vodka sauce was not our favorites and we probably wouldn't get that again but the chicken cutlet with hot peppers was good. Overall I would try this place again and if you haven't went yet i definitely would try it if you like pizzas especially read more

Savona's in Poughkeepsie has a lot to offer, as far as the restaurant goes. They have some outdoor seating, covered with an awning, which is very comfortable on nice days. The downside is that it is on a fairly busy street and close to a traffic roundabout, which can be a little noisy. They have plenty of space inside, including tables, high tops, and at the bar. Service is pretty consistent and good, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is well prepared and decently priced, at least, during happy hour, which is when I usually go. They offer some pasta, flatbread, and other appetizer type dishes at a very reasonable price during happy hour. Also, they have great drink specials. This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. They even have a back room that is open for event space. At a recent event, the air conditioning wasn't working, but I don't think that is the norm. read more

Food quality / price rating (value) 10. The atmosphere is contemporary neo-industrial, and it is comfortable and interesting. They have plenty of high-tops and cozy nooks which makes for a great date place, and have several sidewalk tables outside. Happy Hours are Monday through Friday, 3 - 6 pm Service by Jerry was very good. We've now been to all four Savona restaurants, and all of them have heen excellent. The menu is filled with innovative offerings, and even the classic dishes have a unique spin on them. I had the Grilled Chicken and roasted pear hero on semolina bread which was fantastic, and included house-cut shoestring fries that were cooked extra well done as asked. The wife had the Chop Chop Chicken salad that was made with high quality greens, and said it was excellent also. They offer limited, but well rounded draught beer choices. I'd certainly recommend all four Savona restaurants. read more

The food has been amazing each time we have eaten at Savona's Trattoria, which is every time we are in the Arlington/Poughkeepsie area. The service is impeccable in an Old World sort of way. The ambiance is whatever you wish it to be. This time we had our family dog with us and they welcomed us to choose one of their alfresco tables. No matter how busy they are there is always room for more. Always the best! read more

My family of 4 went to Savonos for the Easter buffet. It was $40.00 per person. It was AWFUL. The food was cold and tasteless. The lamb and beef were tough like rubber, completely inedible. The pasta dishes were cold and gummy. The vegetables were undercooked and hard and cold. The waffles were so hard that I could not even cut them with a steak knife. Are you kidding me..completely ruined our Easter..everyone left hungry..we will NEVER eat at the dump again. read more

I was here recently for a birthday celebration. The garlic bread was phenomenal. The penne ala vodka with chicken was good, but the portion was pretty small. The rest of the party enjoyed the quality of food, but I did notice that nobody brought leftovers home. The service was good. The atmosphere was a bit overwhelming - very loud and we were sitting right under a vent so it would go from hot air blowing on us to it being cold when the hot air turned off. I kept taking my jacket off and putting it back on. I'd definitely go back, there are some other things on the menu I'd like to try, though I do wish the portions were larger. I probably wouldn't go in the middle of winter so as to avoid the hot/cold thing. read more

We have been dying to try this place. I've had it bookmarked for some time and we decided to finally give it a go. The place looks really popular whenever we pass by and it's Italian food, which I love. They have gluten free options and that's another huge plus. When picking up the food, the first think you smell is the intoxicating aroma of the complimentary garlic sticks. They looked and smelled divine. The smells definitely made it hard to get home without digging into the food. The food itself was absolutely delicious! The portions are large as well so we both had leftovers. They were just as good the next day. I ordered a gluten free carbonara and let me tell you, it was so indulgent. It was so creamy and I definitely felt like I was breaking some kind of rules eating it. Amazing! My fiancé ordered a chicken dish that was a cross between a pepperoni pizza and chicken parm. Imagine eating a chicken parm topped with pepperoni. Sounds good right? I really loved the food here. The prices are a little expensive but the norm for an Italian spot. I'd definitely love to visit again. read more

Place is beautiful: service was ok, Food was bland. My husband and I ordered the shrimp scampi and the stacked eggplant. Disappointed, we were expecting more herbs, more flavor and Fresh pasta. The scampi pasta was over cooked and sauce was watery! The eggplant was bland. So disappointing! We stayed to give the dessert a chance. We order the tiramisu; it was bitter and foamy. The cannolis were sour in the middle. "0" read more

They used to be very good when they opened. They have nice ambiance but the food has consistently worsened since they first opened. The last time I went the drinks were awful which was their only saving grace. I just left there as I wanted to give them another try and the mussels were sour!! They smelled bad and I tried to eat a couple. I hope I don't get sick. Gross!!! Save your money or choose a better place like millhouse brewery or Spettro. They are operating like a chain. Not like a place that charges $45 for a steak. Disappointing. read more

Savona's delivers a solid and consistent food, beverage, and service level that does not ever disappoint. Sorry to say went here 2days before New Years and was totally disappointed. Let's begin: The bread is soaked in butter and very messy to eat and drips all over the table . The fig w/gorgonzola appetizer was scrumptious .The New Years special oysters were absolutely atrocious (tiny little things and the sauce was terrible ). The fettuccine bolognese was very dry and not creamy at all . Last but not least the chicken pepperoni was burnt on the bottom. Thought about sending it back but just chalked it up to a bad experience. The only saving grace was the bottle of wine we ordered and those figs, lol. After hearing so much about this place I was very disappointed but might give it another try just to make sure . read more

I always feel spoiled here! Apps are awesome, menu rotates with the seasons and live music at times is entertaining but not overwhelming.
