Garlic Breadsticks
Nadia M.

Service was excellent. We were greeted immediately and the person who I assume is the owner even shook our hand and introduced himself. Food is served in to go containers, but the same man brought it out to us, and even set everything up as if it were a formal sit down restaurant. The ambiance is very cute, outdoor dining only, but lots of tables and covered with umbrellas. My dish was mid. I didn't love what I ordered, but I didn't hate either. It was very average to me. I tried my husbands bowl which was different than mine, and I think I made the wrong choice for my sauce. He went with the pink sauce and it was delicious. We also had some garlic bread which was really good. If I'd return here, I'd definitely order a different sauce.

Pastaphony has no business being this good. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken Parmesan on top because apparently I believe in carbs on carbs with a side of more carbs. Zero regrets. My son and I split the Caesar salad so we could pretend there was something healthy happening at the table, but with the amazing dressing and croutons it was so yummy. The pasta was creamy, the chicken Parmesan was cheesy and perfectly cooked, and everything tasted ridiculously fresh. What I don't understand is how you make food that tastes restaurant-quality but also like somebody's Italian grandma is in the back personally offended by the idea of you leaving hungry. It has that homemade comfort food taste that makes you immediately start planning what you're ordering next time while you're STILL eating. Yeah... Pastaphony officially became our favorite pasta spot. We will absolutely be back.

The food here was so good!!! Both times I've came have been around 10 pm and the service was exceptional each time! The food comes out in no longer than 15 minutes and it's so fresh and delicious!!! We were able to get complimentary drinks and it made our night!

PASTAPHONY @ FULLERTON The penne shrimp pasta was AMAZING, it was also a pretty big portion and super fresh! The owner and his family were super kind and friendly--he went over the entire menu with us since it was our first time! The outside area was great for a date night with ambient lighting and music. Overall 5/5 !! Will be coming back to support

I was not expecting the fast-food pasta to be this good! I thought $20-25 for fast-food pasta was a little pricey, but the portion is pretty big. I ordered the build-your-own pasta with fettuccine, cheese sauce, garlic, and bacon, and I highly recommend it! If you don't eat that much, two pastas for three people might be enough. The staff were also very friendly! This could be a good option for Uber Eats as well!

Good to know: If there's ever an issue with your order, phone the business or talk to them because the owners are very friendly and willing to help. The food always tastes great here and it's freshly cooked pasta on the spot. You can view the staff cooking in the back and they have plenty of space to sit. Totally redeemed from my last experience here

Nutella filled donuts (Ibirk brought)

Thank you Ibirk (I'm sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly. My sister and I arrived and he thanked us for coming in and was very helpful - explained the menu and gave some suggestions. I ordered the build-your-own, and my sister got the chicken Parmesan. For $2 I would say just build your own if you really only will order a specific meat and get the majority of the free items. He was very kind and came back with little mini donuts filled with Nutella. Definitely would return for the service and delicious pasta with pink sauce

I don't hand out 5 stars often but if you get one, trust me it was well deserved. Homemade pasta is the business. Best service with the owner greeting you and remembering your name. N8ce vibes with music in the patio. The food is delicious.

The pasta here is simple yet soooo delicious!! I love the option of building your own pasta. Ordered the penne pasta with pink sauce. The pink sauce was divine, perfectly tomato-ey with a creamy texture. Service was great, he was super friendly and even shook our hands to welcome us in when we arrived! There's a parking lot close by and some street parking available.

The service is so good here and the portion size is HUGE. I love that you can customize your pasta and there's so many different options to choose from. The pasta was piping hot and tasted amazing. I thought the garlic bread was okay, but super garlicky! It does take a while for the pasta to come out when it's busy but it's definitely worth the wait. The outdoor seating area is such a vibe, especially since it's in the downtown Fullerton area.

Sara H.

They are located in downtown Fullerton. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and he took us through the menu since it was our first visit. Unfortunately, there was no indoor seating, but they offered outdoor seating. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the portions were generous. Overall, we had an okay experience. I'd go back to try other items on the menu.

Jeanene ..

Part of me almost hesitated to leave a review because it feels like one of those hidden gems you want to keep to yourself but they absolutely deserve the recognition. The food tastes genuinely homemade: rich sauces, flavorful dishes, and pasta cooked perfectly. Nothing about it feels mass-produced or overly commercial. If you're expecting chain-restaurant Italian, this is in a completely different lane. One thing I really liked was the build-your-own pasta option being able to customize exactly what you want is such a win. Portions were generous, everything came out fresh, and you can tell care goes into the food.

Spaghetti Chicken Parmesa

This place takes fresh pasta to an absolute art form. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between vibrant and cozy we were greeted by the owner who was very kind and walked us through the menu. Every single pasta dish on the menu that we ordered tasted like it was rolled daily in-house, and you can truly taste the quality. The Fettuccine Truffle mushroom is rich and creamy it makes you coming back for another forkful. We also tried the Spaghetti chicken parmesan with unbelievable depth of flavor, the cheesy garlic bread was scrumptious! I love that it was cheesy! and for dessert we had the Tiramisu a classic Italian dessert with, now we found our favorite pasta place number 1 on out list

Build your own: Fettuccine Alfredo 6/10 lacks flavor (I had ordered it with garlic, parm, & spinach and it didn't have any of the extras)

It was refreshing and pleasant! A nice appetizer. Then the pizzas is where the disappointment came in. We got Rocco's pie and the Fuoco. Rocco's pie was pretty good, but the ricotta didn't go well with it in my opinion. The Fuoco was not good at all. It was so dry to eat. I see the idea they were tying to go for; however, the execution was poor. There was so much arugula on ours that I literally couldn't taste anything else. It was too overpowering and bitter. The shaved parmigiano was ok as well. This just tasted like something scrapped together lazily. When you can make the same thing with ingredients from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods... it's quite disappointing. Either way, glad I tried this place but there are other pizzerias that I'd rather visit.

We walked in after doing a little book shopping, without a reservations. Luckily there were still tables available and we were seated in a little nook of the restaurant that was cozy and intimate. Reminisced old memories of our trip to NYC about a decade ago while sipping our drinks. This is my definition of good times. The soup of the day was amazing. Some ground pork makes the broth and loaded with greens, onions, celery made for a great starter. Also the house salad with Italian dressing and blue cheese hit the spot. For our meal we decided on the special - Whole branzino over a bed of arugula. This is for those on a healthy no carb diet. Bring your reading glasses, to aid in fish bone removal. The shrimp scampi was classic. Topped on a bed of linguine, these gorgeous scampied shrimp was fresh as can be. We did not stop here. Be sure to save room for dessert. Date of visit: Sep 8, 2026…read more What a disappointing birthday dinner. I came here with high hopes of finding one of those hidden-gem, hole-in-the-wall Italian places, but unfortunately, it all ended up blowing up in my face. The biggest problem was simple: everything--from the soup to the main dishes--was way too salty. We were a party of six, and three of us ordered pasta with the garlic cream sauce: the Pescatore, Shrimp & Scallop, and Clam. The sauce wasn't thickened enough, so it was much too soupy for a pasta dish, and the taste of white wine was very prominent. The garlic cream sauce was salty too, although nowhere near as crazy salty as the Chicken Piccata, Tortellini Giovanni, and Minestrone. Chicken Piccata: Like everything else we tried, this dish was just way too salty. The lemon-butter sauce was completely overwhelmed by the capers, and eating it honestly felt like shoveling forkfuls of salt into my mouth. The only saving grace was the chicken itself, which was cooked well and had a nice golden-brown exterior. Tortellini Giovanni: Just okay. I've definitely had better. The cheese filling inside the tortellini wasn't particularly good, although the Italian sausage was pretty tasty. The more I ate, though, the saltier, heavier, and oilier the dish seemed to get. Overall, there was really nothing special about it. Minestrone: SO salty that I couldn't even finish it. I'm not sure if this is simply their recipe or if the soup had been refrigerated and reheated to the point where some of the water had evaporated, leaving the salt increasingly concentrated. It's too bad because the underlying flavor was actually there--it was just completely ruined by the amount of salt. Pizza: Just okay. The dough wasn't bad, and I actually liked that it had some chewiness to it. But for the price, I'd rather go somewhere else. I really wanted to love this place, especially since this was my birthday dinner. I wasn't expecting fancy or perfect--I was hoping for a charming little hole-in-the-wall with really good, comforting Italian food. Unfortunately, we left super disappointed.

This is a tough review to write because it appears to be a family-run business, but hopefully the criticism is taken constructively. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt unwelcoming. There didn't seem to be a host or anyone greeting customers. We stood there somewhat aimlessly while employees behind the counter looked over at us without really acknowledging us or explaining where to go. One particularly strange thing we noticed was customers being turned away at the door and told there would be a wait, despite several tables appearing to be open. Then, about five minutes later, another couple walked in and was seated without any issue. Maybe there was an explanation for it, but from a customer's perspective, it was confusing and came across as very inconsistent. Unfortunately, the meal didn't improve things. The food was very bland and lacked the flavor I would expect from a good Italian restaurant. The bread we received tasted stale and was noticeably burnt. For comparison, I would honestly put the overall food quality below what you would expect from Olive Garden. Table service was almost nonexistent. Getting assistance throughout the meal was difficult, and even trying to pay the bill and leave felt like a journey. What concerned me even more was seeing several other customers spoken to in a way that came across as unnecessarily rude. I really wanted to understand why this place has such strong reviews, but based on our experience, I simply can't recommend it. Better hospitality, more consistent treatment of customers, more attentive service, and improvements to the food would go a long way.
