Lindsay and Johnson made my year! What a dynamic duo, with so much knowledge and talent I am so happy we stopped in here! I've only been to the Newport location and this location is the best one to be at!

I haven't been to the Old Spaghetti Factory in probably 30 years. We were taking my girlfriends daughter to another Italian restaurant in downtown Fullerton for her birthday, but the wait was over an hour. We looked for another option, and were surprised that reservations here were wide open on a Saturday night, so we gave it a shot. Parking is hit or miss. There are a few good sized parking lots very close to the restaurant, but they shared by all of the restaurants in the nearby area. We checked in at our 6:45pm reservation time and were seated immediately. The restaurant was moderately busy. The main entree menu is on the placemat, and there is a small book on the table with a multi-page menu for drinks and appetizers. Our server greeted us, and said he'd be back shortly to take our order. We started out with the garlic cheese bread ($9.50). The gals just ordered soft drinks, and I ordered a glass of the Chianti Classico DOCG, Antinori, Peppoli ($10.75). The garlic cheese bread was really good, and came with a small bowl of marinara sauce. About five minutes later, our server brought us a loaf of their sourdough bread. We didn't know they had complimentary bread, or we probably would have skipped the appetizer. I love sourdough bread, and it was very good. They got their soft drinks fast, but fifteen minutes went by and I still didn't have my glass of wine. I flagged down our server and told him that I was still waiting for my wine, and it finally came a few minutes later. I took a few sips, and it wasn't very good. It tasted like a house wine, and rather than send it back, I just drank it. When the bill finally came at the end of the meal, it was indeed the house Chianti, and not the wine I ordered. Our salads arrived next. I just had a house salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad was ok, but the dressing was very bland. My girlfriend got a Caesar salad ($2.99 upgrade), and the lettuce didn't look very fresh and was slightly brown. Her daughter just had a house salad too, and once she started eating it, she discovered that there was a potato chip in her salad. I ate my salad, but they sent theirs back and didn't want a replacement. The manager took the Caesar salad upgrade off of the bill. I had the jumbo lobster & crab ravioli ($24.50) which were just ok. They tasted like they were frozen, not fresh. I know we are not at a high end restaurant, but I expected better for the most expensive item on the menu with such an appealing name. My girlfriend had the spinach & cheese ravioli ($20.99). Hers was also just ok, with the same lack of freshness. Her daughter had the fettuccini Alfredo ($20.75) and enjoyed her entrée. These two dishes arrived from the kitchen with some Parmesan cheese on top. If you want more cheese, the only option is a cheese shaker on the table like at a pizza joint. All of our dinners came with a choice of ice cream, and we all chose Spumoni, which was good. Sadly, the bread and ice cream were the best parts of the meal. Service started out ok, but gradually got slower even though a large party in an adjacent dining area left half way through our meal. Our server was friendly though. There are many better places to go for a good Italian meal, and we likely won't be returning.

Excellent Came for the classic specials for the month included soup or salad bread, your entree and icecream. The meal was more than enough food and was so classic.

I know a lot people would say The Old Spaghetti is not authentic Italian food, but we have been coming for years, and if they weren't doing something right, they would not be as busy as they get, nor would they have a restaurant with a very large capacity and tables that can fit groups of ten and larger. This review is really to shout out Lindsey. She is very professional, personable, attentive, and knows her job and she does it very well. This was not our first time being served by her, so for her to give the same type of service we've gotten from her in the past, says a lot about her work ethics. We have been such a loyal patron to The OSF, that we have been coming here longer than the average age of some of their servers.

Came here as a chaperone with a bunch of kids during my kids field trip to the train station. The kids enjoyed their spaghetti and salad. They were organized with getting the kids seated and plated. The decor also went along perfectly with the trains transportation theme, it made the kids think they were really on the trains. This is the first time I've been here since my college days. I remember the waiters would come out and sing happy birthday to you. So nostalgic. The food for me was pretty basic but I also ordered a basic item. Their menu is pretty varied which is nice for a family dinner or date night. Also, considering how much the kids loved the decor and spaghetti it's definitely worth a visit and revisit.

Talia was very kind, tentative, and helpful. The ambiance was nice and our tables were clean. Food was appealing and so delicious, for a great price as well. Overall a great experience, thank you Talia.

I used to go to the Old Spaghetti Factory in Duarte monthly. It was always a treat to get their delicious pasta and spumoni dinner each time. And even when I started traveling with Toby, we still occasionally hit the Spag Fac in places like St. Louis and Seattle, each with their own regional specialties. So it was nice seeing that there are plenty around in Southern California aside from Duarte. The Meat Lover's Treat still hit like a truck full of flavor. The bread was still as filling as ever. And the ice cream was still a good capper to the evening--even as they got rid of the coffee that used to come with the meal too. I think the quibble I have is the price. The service was still super and the ambiance of rail cars and nostalgic photos will never go out of style. But the price is way more than I would pay for a similar. I remember when the same meal would be in the $12 to $13 range and not the $22 to $23 range. I know all restaurants have gone up, but because I've been coming to this food joint in one location or another since childhood so this price jacking feels egregious. The food still kicks ass, like I said. But when a restaurant makes me question is the meal worth it, you know the quality isn't high enough to erase the sting in the wallet. I'll probably come back to Spag Fac sometime--maybe not this location, but somewhere. However, now I know it'll be more out of nostalgia and sentiment than thoughts of what a great value it is.

The Old Spaghetti Factory in Fullerton hits all the right notes for me, especially since I can be a sucker for chain restaurants when the mood is right. There is something comforting about knowing exactly what you are going to get no matter the location, and this spot delivers on that promise. I always enjoy the fun, quirky decor that feels a little over the top in a charming way, and it adds to the whole experience. The food is hearty and familiar, and honestly, nothing beats sitting down to a giant plate of pasta that does not pretend to be anything other than what it is. It is reliable, filling, and somehow always scratches the comfort food itch just right.

    Spumoni to end the meal!

This chain of restaurants is a great place for group gatherings. The food is generally good and should please your average picky eater as everything is familiar. We recently visited the Fullerton outpost. Our last visit was a few years ago at the Duarte outpost. What I enjoy is that the food is quite consistent, restaurant to restaurant. I'm not sure if it was an off-night for the staff or that's the state of the service industry for chain restaurants. While our sever was friendly and checked with us as needed, there was a few mishaps with the delivery. We received an item we didn't order and one of the entrees was served much later than the rest. Also, I think they're suffering from shrinkflation - the appetizer portion sizes appeared smaller than before. We ordered appetizers: Calamari. Pretty good. We always get the calamari. Artichoke dip. It was ok but not how I remember it from the last time we visited. Garlic cheese bread. This was the item we didn't order. This was quite good and I think we'll order this instead of the artichoke dip the next time we visit. My true disappointment was the dish I ordered. I decided to try something new and ordered the Garlic Shrimp Fettuccini. This sounds like a dish that shouldn't disappoint but it did. The shrimp was overcooked and mushy. I couldn't eat it. The pasta was fine. We'll likely visit again in the future as it's a good place for group dinners with picky eaters. I'm not a picky eater but I'll not order the Garlic Shrimp Fettuccini again! Try it! The kids in your group will surely like this place! Enjoy!

First time.. I have been living in Fullerton for over 16 years and this was my first time! Didn't wait and I didn't have a reservation. Went on a Sunday around 12 pm. Food portions were small but their sauces were really good. Their sourdough bread was warm and so good! The ice cream was also delicious. Overall experience was great! Our server, Caressa was amazing! I would go there again!

Tried The Old Spaghetti Factory for the first time. I expected it to be similar to Olive Garden, and in some ways it was. We sat at the bar (no wait!) and service was wonderful--friendly, prompt, and full of good recommendations. The free bread was a nice touch. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan and Spinach Ravioli--both decent, but not standout dishes. The location near the Fullerton train station is charming, especially for kids who love watching trains go by. Overall, a nice experience, but the food wouldn't make it my first choice next time

The moment we walked in, I was struck by the smell of old furniture. However, that didn't deter me from ordering and eating SO MUCH FOOD. I especially loved the sourdough bread and butter! As for my entrée, I got the wild roasted mushroom ravioli and it was slightly too oily for me, but I still enjoyed it! Good mushroom flavor and yummy sauce! I also got a bite of my boyfriend's spaghetti and I typically don't like spaghetti, but it was nice and flavorful! Food came out pretty quickly, and the server was really nice! Overall, despite the odd smell coming in, I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. It feels really vintage which I don't get to see often!

Hadn't been in here in years, returning felt like home! Still the best salad and bread; the house dressing is so good...wish I can buy it on a bottle to take home. The portions are plentiful and the price is worth the value. Our waiter was the best, prompt and nice even on a busy Saturday night.

Located in the middle of downtown Fullerton, it's a charming and cozy space that's perfect for a date night or celebration. Come early, or plan to walk around a bit because they are walk up only, and your wait could be a while depending on where you want to be sat. Still, it's worth it for the great atmosphere and delicious pasta. Certain days of the week have different specials. For example, Thursdays they have discounted martinis (they have some GREAT drinks), and Wednesdays discounted wine bottles (and no corkage fees if your whole party orders an entree) so definitely make sure to check out if they're offering anything the day you come in. They have a pretty large menu of pasta dishes, and other entrees. Everything I've had off the menu has been delicious, including the special pasta of the day I ordered on my last visit. Plates range from $20 and up if you add proteins, but the portions are large and you definitely won't leave hungry. The service is very solid, but our last server Jessica really wowed us! She was personable, and had many great recommendations about the menu. Aside from checking in on us frequently and making sure our wine glasses were never empty, she really made our recent visit a standout one. The salad arrived was less than to be desired and there was barely any dressing. She then dropped off the Meatballs that were cold and I asked to please send them back. Needless to say I was becoming slightly agitated due to being hungry. Then my main dish ordered was not Chicken Alfredo. The other people at my table said that their dishes were amazing. I was like, ill believe it when it comes. I am happy to say that when the dish arrived it was everything that I wanted, and she brought back the meatballs that were warm and her attitude seemed to improve as things got busier and the experience finished very well. Since it was a hot day, we both picked salad. One of our favorite parts of the meal was the bread. Not sure if it was on purposes but the bread basket came with both thin slices and thick slices. And don't forget the garlic infused butter. So yumm! As for parking, the restaurant is in a small strip center and only a few stores were open when we arrived so there was plenty of parking.

The bread was not heavy as typical bread seemed as if it was the flour but lighter than normal. We ordered brushetta. The topping was a fair amount but the balsamic was a bit too sweet for me. We ordered chicken piccata came with angel hair pasta and good amount of capers with a lemon wedge. The pasta and chicken complimented each other well. The sauce seemed a light lemon flavor the fresh squeezed elevated the flavor. Great dish to order. It also came with soup or salad I chose minestrone but not to my liking way too much tomato taste for My taste buds. We also had a pizza it was mozzarella and basil, tomatoes (Margarite) good pizza the crust was hand tossed. Nice place to enjoy a meal not too loud but it was Monday.

The dishes were rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the well-balanced sauces, every bite felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. What truly elevated the evening, however, was the exceptional service. Our waiter, Caesar, was kind, attentive, and highly professional throughout the meal. He made excellent recommendations, checked in at just the right moments, and created a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere without ever feeling intrusive. Overall, this was a memorable dining experience. Between the delicious Italian food and Caesar's outstanding service, I would happily return and highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Melontini (4/5) - This drink was spirit forward and came with a cute melon ball on the side. I slightly wish it was a little fruitier. Wagyu meatballs (5/5) - the appetizer came with three medium-sized Wagyu meatballs on pieces of garlic toast. The meatballs were delicious and a great starter to our meal. Caesar salad (4/5) - this was your classic Caesar salad that accompanied our pasta perfectly. Fried zucchini (5/5) - I love that the zucchini was sliced and crispy. The breading to zucchini ratio was perfect and paired perfect perfectly with a marinara sauce. Short rib pappardelle (5/5) - this pasta dish was the absolute highlight of our meal. In order comes with two servings, which is more than enough pasta for a second meal for two people. The short rib was flavorful and tender, and the Alfredo sauce and fresh pasta were amazing. Cannoli (4/5) - the cannoli was a simple way to top off our delicious Italian meal. I like that on one end there were chocolate chips and the other end there was pistachio.

This review of Vinny's Italian Restaurant is long overdue. I've eating there about twice a week…read morefor the last 7 months and I've never been disappointed. The food is consistently tasty and plentiful. I've tried the pastas but my go to meal is a big bowl of Minestrone soup, salad with Italian dressing and to die for garlic bread. I try to eat more plant based, and the soup is chock full of delicious vegetables - I think Vinny said eighteen different kinds - and just enough ditalini pasta to satisfy my pasta craving without blowing my diet. There's a hint of hotness to it, just enough to set it apart from the chain restaurants. I don't like vegetables very much, but I know they are really good for me, so Vinny's Minestrone was a terrific find. For my cheat day, about once a month I splurge on Patsy's Tiramisu. I think she said the recipe came from Vinny's Mom. It is worth every decadent calorie. The fluffy whipped cream is light yet rich, sweet but not too sweet, just the perfect amount of wonderfulness that dessert should be, and sadly, often isn't. Finally, I have to mention the people that work there. I don't know exactly what goes on in the kitchen, but my food is always fast, abundant, and hot - unless it's supposed to be cold. I'll repeat the word delicious here, because it is. So Vinny and his kitchen team are A+. The servers are great. Leti and Laurie greet me by name, with big smiles. They remember my preferences. They are never too busy to call out thank-you and have a great day when I leave. Patsy, the owner, is often on the floor serving, too, and she has gone out of her way to check-in with me and ask after my well-being. I appreciate their kindness, which is ever-present during slow, and busy times of the day. Vinny's is not fancy, but it's warm and homey, and yes, here's that word again: delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
