Finally got to check out Prime Pizza located in Brea, which is a New York-style pizza shop. We ordered the thicker cuts of pizza which were a square-style pizza and I got the Grandma's style. This is just pretty much mozzarella, sauce, and cheese. Which is simple but tasty! I love the crispiness of the pizza and the jalapeño ranch with it together was great. I don't eat pork so this was one of the styles that I could eat. Overall I thought the flavor and style were pretty nice. Maybe next time I will try their New York slices! read more

Karina & Christy went above and beyond for our first time having Prime Pizza in Brea. First of all their pizzas are all made fresh to order and you taste the freshness especially the crust. Absolutely delicious!! My Son wanted pepperoni for his bday! His Aunt recommended Prime Pizza from past experience in El Segundo, so this was her first choice being in the Fullerton area. Though the location is more of counter service style, the Brea team was very attentive when it came to us dining outside. The Brea team was attentive and anticipated all our needs. What stood out the most, was that we were celebrating my Sons 14th bday. Don't do take out! The pizza gets extremely soggy to the point where it rips when you pick it up. But if you choose to eat there, seating is limited to 2 tables, 4 chairs each. There's a center courtyard with more in-n-out style outdoor tables but shade is limited depending on the where the sun's positioned. Pick up experience was long. First time trying Prime Pizza out as it was recommended by a friend and seeing reviews it seemed very worthwhile to try. This location is a bit small, there is no indoor seating, only outdoor seating available. However, when you walk in, you can tell that this place is serious about pizza. You have several trays of pizza by the slice right in your face the moment you walk in. You have New York Style slices and square slices to pick from immediately that they will reheat in the over for you. Or you can order a full pie from the get go. We opted to get three slices: BBQ Chicken, White, and Vodka. Of the three, BBQ chicken was my favorite - the most flavor and the most feeling of a bang for your buck. The Vodka was also good. The white was okay (I probably wouldn't get this one again). The workers here were great they. Super helpful and talkative. They shared a lot, like the fact that the crust is actually sourdough. Ordered the supreme and Hawaiian pizzas. First note is that they automatically remade it when it came out "darker than expected" which was nice but it added about 8-10 minutes of wait time. The supreme was very red sauce heavy which I didn't like too much but my husband enjoyed it. It went well with the ranch. The Hawaiian was pretty flavorful and I've never had a Hawaiian pizza with teriyaki sauce. I liked how it had pulled pork too. The ranch was unique and you could see the real ingredients in it like dill? I think? Not sure but you could see herbs in the ranch which made it feel more authentic. Prime pizza is sick. Glad to have one nearby in Brea! I've ordered from this new location a few times in their early stages (first 2-3 months of opening). Both times, they told me that they had made my pizza too small, so they had to remake it, but they let me keep both! So both times I've gone home with an extra pizza and way too many leftovers lol. And for the extra 5 min wait, they gave me a lemonade, which was also good. Good move, prime! I'd say this is the new best pizza spot in town. We've tried a handful of their selection and all have been good: cheese, pepperoni, hawaiian, sicilian, vodka, white, meat lovers, grandma... The only one that i wouldn't get again is the hawaiian - it's different from your typical hawaiian, not my preference. All the others are fantastic & I'd happily order in the future Also their ranch is 10/10, and you can buy it in a jar to have at home. My wife went to a Prime in LA a few years ago & loved it so much that we almost catered it for our wedding. For example, I have one Sicilian pizza for under a dollar more. Pizzas are thin, crispy and yummy. However one of my slice is kind of burned. Service is friendly as you can choose to order to go or wait outside and they bring the pizzas to you - which we did. Ordered pizza slices of: -Vodka (5/5) -White (5/5) -Cheese (4/5) -Sicilian square (4/5) All the slices had a crispy undercarriage with no flop. Ingredients were high quality. Favorite was the white pizza!! It's now one of my top 3 favorite white pizzas. Good amount of sauce & cheese because places usually skimp out on it which makes the slice dry. Was craving pizza for lunch so decided to give Prime Pizza a try. The store is nice, new and beautiful and they offer a lunch special - which I thought was a win, win. But reality is you get over cooked pizza. For starters, the store wasn't crowded, but people were waiting because one person needed to sign in and the other guy standing around said he can't clock in yet so can't take my order. I honestly don't get why he was standing by an iPad to take orders if that was the case. Someone else ended up taking my order and before I could make a receipt selection the kid who told me he couldn't take my order starts clocking in takes over the screen so I can't get a receipt or register for an account. He later had to go back to my transaction so I could get both. Now the pizza.. just my luck the kid standing around ends up reheating the pizza slices I ordered. But instead of reheating pizzas in sequence the orders came in, he took the order after mine and reheated their pizza first. The only problem is I didn't want a corner slice, but the person who ordered after me got the middle slice, so I was told my only option was a corner. When I got home to eat my pizza, I was super disappointed. If you look at the picture, you can tell my pizza was way over baked. It wasn't exactly warm either. I tasted burnt bits and this maybe my worst pizza experience ever. There's a place in Costa Mesa called Sugo that has a similar concept, but they've mastered their process and their pizza is amazing! Prime Pizza can probably learn something from a place like that because what I ordered was a super disappointment. We came for their grand opening and had a wonderful experience. We waited about 45 minutes to get in, but once indoors, we were greeted by the friendly staff and our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. We grabbed individual slices, and were able to try a combination of their thin crust, as well as their square pies. Their thin crust pizza held up well and could easily be folded. It was good, but my favorite was definitely their spicy pepperoni square pies along with the Sicilian. The crust was crispy and the pizza had great flavor and texture. So here is my take on the new pizza shop in Brea...Prime Pizza delivers a classic New York-style experience, especially when the pizza is fresh out of the oven. The thin, crispy crust is perfect, and the slices are impressively large. They also have proper ovens for reheating slices, which is a big plus if you're grabbing pizza by the slice. I had a pepperoni slice and we also ordered a full pepperoni pie. Both were quite good when warm. Once the pepperoni pizza cooled down, though, the cheese became a little plastic-like and lost some of its flavor. They're also fairly frugal with the pepperoni, which ends up putting the spotlight onto the cheese. Overall it was a good experience. I enjoy my New York-style pizza, but I probably won't drive 15 miles just to grab a slice. Service was faster than they quoted. The space inside is standing only. Not much space to order really. The surprise standout was the garlic knots--they were really tasty, and honestly, I would drive a bit out of my way for those alone. I didn't trust they would process it, the haphazard way they were calling out orders randomly and holding a bunch of orders in the back. No organization. You can't do this to pizza. Inside it's small, and it's more of a take out or order ahead type of place. There are a few tables and chairs outside if you do wanna eat there. However, their line and pick up system is a little chaotic and they had people coming in and heading straight to the counter for pick ups while the rest of us were waiting in line. After reading the majority of the reviews, I had high expectations even though it's so early on. Here's what I ordered: **Pepperoni Pie: Amazing! Loved how crispy thin the pie was and the crust was even better! Definitely my favorite style of pizza, hands down. (5/5) **Garlic Knots: Absolutely delicious! This container was oozing with that delicious garlic flavor that everybody loves. The bread was so moist and was bursting with flavor. Good by itself but even better with the cup of marinara sauce provided. (5/5) For context, this spot opens at 11 AM. I placed an online order at 10:57 AM to pickup at 11:30 AM. I then received a text telling me that my order was ready at 11:23 AM! Once I entered, I gave them my name and my order was brought out instantly! The place was packed when I arrived, which is already a great sign. Everyone working the front seemed to be up to par with the business model and there were smiles everywhere. There are plenty of decent pizza spots out here in the Fullerton/Brea area but Prime Pizza takes over the top spot. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in 34 years of living. So far, I'm impressed with what Prime Pizza has to offer. Ordered the Pepperoni ($28) and the online ordering process was quick and seamless, with the pizza ready right on time. There's only one size available for whole pies, which actually makes ordering easier. I opted for the double-cut slices. Welcome to Brea, Prime Pizza- finally north OC gets a proper elevated pizza joint instead of our usual chain options. This was my first time trying Prime Pizza, so my expectations were pretty high! We ordered two pies 1) thin 1/2 supreme and 1/2 pepperoni and 2) square cut 1/2 spicy pep and 1/2 Sicilian. Favorite of these options was the square cut spicy pepperoni which reminded me of a cross between Triple Beam Pizza and Jet's. Crust was nicely crispy and the cheese and sauce were tasty. I didn't enjoy the regular crust as much, though the group did. But I did like the fold-ability and the toppings on the supreme. A couple other things we noticed were that the staff were very friendly and there's not much seating (literally two small tables outside) so we saw lots of people eating in their cars or pulling out camp chairs. Small shop, but super clean and nicely decorated with framed photos and a cool logo mural inside. The workers were all friendly and welcoming, and our food came out pretty fast. Been waiting for this place to open and I'm glad I had an opportunity to try it..... live up to the hype? So,So. When I got there, there was a guy letting everyone know about the lunch special. and the person who took my order was extremely friendly and had a lot of really great suggestions for me. So they would get a five star if this was just a customer service review. The place is kind of small so definitely won't be coming back during lunch rush because the seating is extremely limited I definitely love that they offer a lunch special, a solid deal, and upgrading to a non cheese slice doesn't cost you an arm and a leg so there is a plus. I tried a plain cheese slice and their spicy pepperoni square slice. Both were good for what they were. Nothing super special, but it was nice to have something that wasn't your typical fast food.. I'm not sure what kind of oven they use for reheating, but it had that very familiar taste, almost like it was heated with a Calrod-style element rather than a traditional pizza oven. Been waiting for a VERY long time for Prime Pizza's Brea location to open ever since it was announced around late 2024. Of course, being a huge Prime Pizza fan and this now being by far the closest location to me, I was always going to stop by immediately. Had the white pizza from the El Segundo location a few weeks ago, so I went with my other go-to order: sausage pizza with meatballs and ricotta. Consistency is key when you have multiple locations! The quality is as I expect from any Prime Pizza. Thin, crispy, and very well-cooked. They make sure you get your money's worth on toppings. Can't complain about it at all! Staff here are super friendly, as is the case with all the other locations I've been to. Appreciate the free pizza chip, definitely will be cashing it in sooner rather that later. Really enjoyed my experience at Prime Pizza, definitely the best pizza in Brea as of now. It is a legit NY style shop that has a lot of good offerings. I always judge a pizza shop by their execution of a plain cheese or margherita pizza. They did a great job! Crispy thin crust, oily cheese (in a good way), everything you would want in a good NY slice. My personal favorite slice there though is the grandma corners they do. I'd go with the Sicilian which has pesto, tomato sauce, and ricotta. It is a small shop with not a ton of seating, but they do have some outside spots to sit and eat. read more

As sad as I am to review this, I definitely think that it needs to shine some light on the business. I've been to Prime pizza in other locations many times so I know the quality of the pizza as well as what they are known for. I'm a big fan of sliced à la cart pizza as you can try a bunch of different options. We ordered cheese slice, vodka, slice, a few white slices, a few Sicilian slices, garlic knots, the vodka pasta, and a handful drinks. Everything came out initially very quick. But not hot so that kind of knocks it down a point. About 10 to 15 minutes later the pasta came out with the garlic knots and the staff let us know that they were out of forks so we couldn't eat the pasta. So we can just let it sit there and get cold because we didn't know what to do, we weren't sure if we should go get forks somewhere else. A little confused that they wouldn't just tell us that they're out of forms to behind with so we could just not order the pasta. Then about 10 minutes later, they came up to us and said that they grabbed forks. But then we're back in the same predicament of having cold pasta and cold pizza. The garlic knots were also served lukewarm at best, I completely understand that they're busy and clearly needed to work out some kinks, but this left and not so great taste in my mouth. The overall bill was quite pricey for what it was, we were totaling and around $80 for everything not enjoy the pasta or garlic knots at all. It's nice to have a slice when you just crave some pizza and don't want a whole one. Here you need two to even start getting satiated. It was my first time so I was patiently waiting on the bench with the many other people. The place is a take out place with a couple of our door tables. Definitely dont plan on eating here. The pizza on the tables looked so cold and not inviting. Our pizza came out hot but by the time I got home I had to put it back into the toaster oven. The spicy pepperoni is yummy and very spicy the other pizza was ricotta cheese and pesto I think it was okay. Customer service was good. The workers were very polite and were good at dealing with the busy moment they were having when I came in the evening. The pizza itself is good. The sauce is a little on the sweeter side and has average amount of flavor. The crust and cheese all went well and as a whole you can tell they are using quality ingredients.
