I used to live down the street from this place. I wasn't always a huge fan of Thai food, but my wife and I had a craving. Needless to say, once we ate here, we never looked back. I love their chicken pad thai, but I also love their popcorn chicken. No joke, if they made their popcorn chicken a meal, and added a side of fries, that's what I would be getting every time. Anyways, my wife eat here every time we have a Thai food craving. I think I've spent more money on this restaurant than I probably have at anything else in downtown Brea. The service is always quick and helpful, and although the restaurant itself is small, it's always clean with a warm ambiance. We are always out and about in this area and had never tried the food. Decided to get my little ones some bruxie and I went over to try this place out. The location is very very small. Not much space to sit. They can only fit a few people inside to dine in. So we had to order to go. I ordered the drunken noodles and a tai tea which were both very flavorful. Came here with my teenage kids last night. The fact that the restaurant was empty at 6:30 pm on Friday night should have been a clue. We order Cheese wanton -1/5 the "fried" wanton were served room temp on the out side barely crisp - and still cold on the inside. I was about to request they reheat them but my kids would rather die then draw attention Popcorn chicken - 2/5 crispy and hot but way too salty My kids ate the apps as they were hungry - both apps were served with sweet chili sauce out of a jar. We also order the shaken beef -2/5 the beef pieces was pretty good tender and flavorful the tomatoes in the dish were still cold in the center - the rice was average - the reason this didn't get a higher score they served wet salad with a sad dressing with made the bottom of the rice soggy and water down the beef sauce Pad see ew - 1/5 over cooked, soggy and over sauced - and still managed to be bland (is there even fish sauce in your kitchen?) Went here for lunch for the weekend and tbh it was a big disappointment. Saw some really good review so decided to give this place a try. Place has no AC to start off, it's an open concept where doors and windows are opened, but since the weekend wasn't too hot it was alright. Foods were really alright. We order the lemon shrimp, and the first bite was good but after that it just went downhill. It wasn't sour enough, not enough sauce on it. It's 2/10 for me. Yellow curry was pretty good, it is on a sweeter side which I don't mind 9/10 Pad Thai: nothing really special. Located in downtown Brea, this place has a small and cozy interior, so there isn't a lot of seating inside. However, they also have patio seating along the street, which adds more space and gives the restaurant a nice casual vibe. The food was delicious. I'll start off with the positive: I went in with the intention of securing my mango sticky rice. After checking out the menu, coming from a workout, I needed some protein. I got the Crying Tiger (rib eye) and I do think it's a high price(27$) for the amount of food you get, specifically the meat portion was disappointing. I will say the food had great flavor, the meat was super tender, and juicy. The sauce paired so nicely with the meat and the rice. No argument about the mango sticky rice, it's my favorite. Inside the restaurant, it's a cute very tiny place with outdoor setting. The server I had was very nice and sweet. I ordered the shrimp wraps, crying tiger, and Kao Soi which I think is normally spelt Khao soi. The shrimp wraps were not at all fried until crispy and golden brown. It was just ok at least the inside was cooked. The crying tiger was kind of tender but the salad did not match the dish whatsoever. The dipping sauce was WAY too sweet. The Kao Soi was the least doable dish. You are able to pick which protein in which I asked which was the best. I was recommended the brisket. The broth was extremely sweet. I tried to put in all the side condiments to balance out the sweetness but it is so overpowering. I couldn't stomach it. The brisket did not go well with it whatsoever, it made the dish heavier and nauseating with the ultra sweet khao soi. I tried to just eat the brisket but afterwards it did not sit well in my stomach after around 5 hours. This restaurant is not very authentic. I would not recommend the dishes I had here. read more

Mango sticky rice 10/10 Tofu Pad Thai 10/10 Pho Brisket 10/10 Pho Tai 10/10 Ordering was simple ready right away. Phone call was basic, customer service was a simple what's your order okay ready in 20 mins. Which is fine. Pho comes in one size so ordered multiple. 1 order is good for two adults. 1 was good for 4 little kids age range 2-12 but not if they want a second bowl. Which I feel like it should be multiple sizes or just in a bigger size to accommodate a variety of customers. Mango sticky rice and pad Thai was perfect for taste and texture. Pho was very flavorful. After watching a movie with BTS J-hope nearby, our group grabbed a quick lunch at nearby Thai 7 Bistro at 1:30 pm. It was pouring outside, so we appreciated the indoor dining space and that our group of five was able to fit (thanks to the other customers who swapped tables so Thai 7 Bistro could put two tables together for us). Since it was raining, a warm soupy dish sounded good. The kao soi ($21.95) caught most of our eyes so three of us each ordered that. I got mines with beef brisket. Crispy chicken wings were an option, but I didn't want to deal with the bones and with the wings potentially getting soggy in the soup. I usually get pad see ew or a curry or crab fried rice, so I never had kao soi before. And now that I had it, it will be part of my standard Thai food order now! I love that there were noodles in this dish plus topped with crispy noodles. The soup was almost as thick as curry. Beef brisket wasn't too fatty either. It all just went well together! I also ordered a Thai iced tea ($4.50) and that was delicious, a good balance of sweet with my very savory meal. It did take a while for us to get the check since the restaurant got busy, but we appreciated being able to pay separately for our own order rather than try to split the bill five ways with different orders. We had all parked at the parking structure by the theater, so it was a quick walk back. My friend and I wanted to try out somewhere new for Thai food and when this restaurant was recommended, we gave it a chance, and after trying it out, we know why that was the case. The place was very cozy and the staff was welcoming. The woman who served us was very kind, welcoming, patient and was even willing to help us with any requests we had, even noting us in advance if there would be an extra charge should we proceed (love that communication). She was always coming by to check on us even when she was assisting with the other customers. I didn't get her name, but she is the best. The food that we ordered was also very good and filling. The green curry I tried with my friend was very smooth and love the spices in it, I would definitely go for it when we come back. But the (spicy) pad thai, I absolutely love it with the fried tofu. I love the portion of what was on the plate, most places I've been too had put too many peanuts, but I really like how they placed them in the corner of the plate. Best Thai in all of Brea! No cap. The first thing I ordered was a strawberry soda which is a specialty from Thailand, and it kicks Italian soda in the pants. We then had appetizers. The potstickers were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The lemon shrimp was perfectly fried and crunchy and not too seafoody. My panang curry was the best of a tom kha and a red curry it was so dang good. The pad Thai was delicate and I couldn't stop eating it. The pho broth also slaps too. The broth tasted like it had been cooking for hours to get all the collagen goodness from the meat. I think our waitress was the head chef she said she changed the menu recently to reflect her experiments. She's a Thai food savant! Sweet personably and she made us feel welcomed. The beef fried rice was the worst Thai fried rice I have ever had in my life - bland and flavorless EVEN AFTER soaking it in the red curry. The green beans in the red curry was not cooked. It tasted almost raw and was very hard. The red curry here was probably the worst I've ever had in my life. It just had chicken and green beans. There were no bamboo shoots either. The chicken, green curry lacked any depth was too sweet and no spice whatsoever. Genuinely the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. First of all, the service was amazing, the servers were incredibly kind. Our server was super helpful when I asked a question about one of the items on the menu. I ordered the seafood tomyum noodle and let me tell you it was probably the most delicious, creamy, and flavorful dish I've had in a while. The oysters tasted so fresh. It felt like I was tasting the ocean lol. The richness of the broth was super zesty and flavorful, perfect for a tomyum soup. The squid was delicious and so were the shrimps and fishballs. It was so flavorful I didn't even put any condiments into it! One more thing is that the Thai tea was amazingly good. I had to order another! If you are looking for something to eat that will satisfy your hunger or just want to find a good Thai restaurant I would 1000% suggest this place. I will 100% be coming back here and telling all my friends and family about this restaurant. Although the restaurant was a little small it felt super comfortable. We really wanted to like this spot - Thai food is our favorite and this restaurant had some promising reviews. We had tried many other spots in OC and there are a lot of delicious restaurants to compare to. We went this past Saturday night for dinner. We ordered egg rolls and their version of "agua chile" shrimp for appetizers and shaken beef and beef salad for entrees. The main culprit for this 1 star review... the agua chile was served very different from how I have ever had it. Some of the shrimp looked more grey, rather than the opaque/light pink color they usually turn from being "cooked" by the juices. However, I know some styles serve it differently so we ate it. That evening we both got food poisoning. By 3 AM we were up with sweats and throwing up. This lasted all of this past Sunday. The agua chile was the only food item we shared.... And unfortunately I believe that they were not properly cooked or cleaned. I have since looked at their photos on google of their agua chile and the one I could find does show the shrimp being opaque/light pink..... that is not how ours looked. In regard to cleanliness and just things I was thinking about after having this experience.... The water they provided us (they provide you a bottle of tap to pour yourself) had an oniony flavor to it.... So we asked for another bottle, which also tasted "off"... so we just did not drink it. Just sharing this so others can be aware and make their own dining choices and I hope this restaurant takes more care in ensuring the preparation of the food is properly and safely done. The other food items: The egg rolls were really good and crispy. The shaken beef was also well done. The sauce with it was delicious. Steak salad was awful, the steak was thinly sliced and way overcooked so it was a chore to chew it, the salad was very watery and only had big slices of tomato. Dressing was not flavorful. There was way too much steak to salad, so it was like eating a big plate of sliced meat with no seasoning and watery dressing. read more

The food is good. However, the waitress informed me that the owner won't allow payment over the cellphone. I was disappointed. Currently they were taking payments over the phone, and the waitress informed today without offering me an explanation. I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied, uncomfortable, and impediment. What concerned me is the phone payment was made by credit card, and they accepted it several times. There was no communication between me and the waitress, so I ended up leaving abruptly to find food elsewhere. I don't want to go back to a restaurant where people cannot communicate effectively, and I'm given mixed signals. I would rather be treated with respect, kindness, and direct communication. The sign said "Authentic Thai Cuisine" and it was probably one of the worst Thai meals I've had in recent memory. Pad Kra Pao - ordered with pork. This dish is a common home cooked meal in Thailand. It is comfort food. And I've tasted this dish in Thailand many times. Usually it is done with ground pork and stir fried in a wok served over rice with an egg. Please google this dish. The dish we ordered and received was not a Pad Kra Pao... it was a saucy mess. This means the wok wasn't used properly. I've been to Mark Wien's restaurant in Bangkok which specializes in Pad Kra Pao. So I was hoping to enjoy a proper version. Housemade Sausage - had potential, but it really dry (see photo). Pad Thai - mediocre. It wasn't bad, but it was not sit-down restaurant quality. It felt like cafeteria pad thai. Papaya Salad - was definitely not authentic as well. lacked fish sauce / shrimp components so was devoid of umami. Tom Yum - Not bad, but again not great. I just wish words like authentic weren't thrown around so easily. My wife and I had dinner tonight at the restaurant. We were very pleased to find a Thai restaurant on the strip there. We were greeted right away. Very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. We had option to sit inside or outside. The waitress was very nice and accommodating even being very new on the job. The food was fantastic. We were blessed to meet Nova as well. She was amazing. She took time out to explain the menu and the history of the restaurant. She let us know they were open for lunch with dine in or carry out. Overall an incredible experience and we will return.
