More than meets the eye at this small donut shop. The donuts here were very fresh and delicious! They are think so consider sharing one donut between two adults but after a good workout, I can finish one donut solo. We ordered the popular French toast and six donut holes. The French toast donut was sweet but not overpowering on the sweetness. This donut is about an inch thick. The donut holes were fresh and soft also, both of these items were a home run! There were some tables outside, no inside tables but the line was out the door and it moves faster than the line a space mountain in Disneyland. The line did move pretty well, we were out of there within 10 minutes and it was busy on Labor Day. There is a good amount of parking around that street, plus this shop is near the famous Top Gun house in the first movie. Executive summary: Dog friendly:5/5 Depth of menu:5/5 Good for groups:4/5 Service:5/5 Parking:4/5 Flavor: 5/5 Freshness:5/5 Kid friendly:5/5 Worth every calorie to return to this shop! Enjoy!
These donuts are amazing, definitely different than your traditional donut! Very buttery & flakey more like a cronut for sure the edges are crispy but center is soft, located by the beach in Oceanside which Is a plus! The flavors are always rotating which is fun too my favorite has been the powdered raspberry filled & the maple bacon!
Look. I didn't NEED four donuts but nobody really ever needs ONE, right? If calories are out the window, might as well go for broke. I did just that. Delicious and addicting. Sort of like a funnel cake donut in that it has a little more flaky crunch to it (much like a mini fritter) and they're all topped with some sort of ridiculously tasty additive. High marks for the French toast, bourbon caramel and glazed honey. It was probably like 8 days worth of sugar but who cares? Not me, friends. Not me.
After walking past Parlor Donuts in Oceanside approximately one million times, we finally gave in... and WOW. I may have had a legitimate out-of-body experience. It's been a rough week (hello, unexpected job loss), so I was in the mood for something unapologetically indulgent, and this absolutely delivered. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, which honestly made the experience even sweeter. I ordered the truffle cheesecake donut and my husband had the maple pecan... and I genuinely cannot remember the last time I tasted something this ridiculously delicious. Light, decadent, melt-in-your-mouth magic. Learn from our mistake: do not keep walking past this place. Stop immediately. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Just get the donut.
I noticed so many people carrying boxes from Parlor that I decided I just had to try it. I even stopped someone who was bringing a box back to our hotel to ask about them, and they raved that the donuts were incredibly soft--almost like a croissant. They were absolutely right! They have a massive selection to choose from, and I ended up trying the French Toast donut. It had that exact light, pillowy, croissant-like texture the other guest mentioned. I also loved that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like donuts from other shops can be. It was so light that I enjoyed it in the morning and still had plenty of room for breakfast afterward. My only regret is that I didn't have a bigger group with me--I wish I could have ordered a bunch of different flavors to share. I'll definitely be back for more!
We came here on Tuesday night, before closing and ordered 2 white chocolate blondes, the drinks were yummy, but on the sweeter size. We didn't get the doughnuts, but definitely want to come back and try some. They made our kids quickly. I liked that they had outdoor seating as well, so you're able to grab some treats and a drink, and take a seat outside.
I'm surprised to realize that I've not reviewed them before. I have been here several times and always enjoyed my donuts. Depending when you go, parking isn't too bad. There's street parking just outside. I've never been when there's a wait either. I'm always greeted by an enthusiastic helpful staff member who can answer all my questions. There are so many flavors to choose from and they change. On this visit after looking at all the choices, we chose the French toast donut which was slated to be the most popular. We asked if they could cut it in half but we were told they are not allowed and that there are knives nearby. We took our donut and we sat outside on their picnic benches. It was a lovely day to be sitting outside. There were several people out there already eating their donuts and drinking coffee. It was a bit challenging to cut through the donut with the plastic knife, as it's pretty thick. The outside was crispy while the inside was pillowy and doughy. It was a nice combination. I didn't really get the flavor of French toast, but either way it was still very flavorful and we enjoyed it. Afterwards we walked down to the pier to walk off some of the carbs we had just eaten. I love showing people this place and I will continue to return for their donuts .
If I was about to be buried and at my funeral someone showed up after eating a parlor donut and it so happened that some donut dust hit my casket ... I would RISE FROM MY SLUMBER and SUCK those fingers dry to the bone. That's how good these donuts are. Man these donuts hit every time. If you visit Oceanside and don't visit parlor donuts you're doing yourself a disservice! MUST VISIT. B FIH FIH FIHHHHHSTAHHHHH
Parlor is a essential and vital Oceanside experience. The coffee is bomb, the donuts are flavorful and unique, the service is helpful and kind (a trait not found much in the world). It's a small shop with a great ambiance and vibe. Family friendly and the have a great small selection of Parlor Doughnut merch. We sampled 6 donuts : lemon, churro, sandy beach, French toast, coconut, blueberry. All good choices but French toast was the majority winner. We will be going back after 11 to try the new Savory pizza style selections. You can't say you have been to Oceanside unless you go to Parlor Doughnuts!
Anywhere I go that has a Parlor Doughnuts, I have to go. They have the largest and most delicious Doughnuts I've eaten. They have a loyalty program so don't forget to sign up. Everyone here is really nice too.
Beyond Disappointing. Please note this review is specifically for the Vegan & Gluten Free Donuts. I'll gladly update this review if there are updated/changes to these options. For a place that takes pride (clearly visible in their regular donuts), why the hell would you put vegan & gluten free in the same donut without providing regular vegan options too? To top it off, all the donuts are $4.25 EACH for the tiniest bite size donut. It doesn't matter what kind of toppings, frosting, glaze etcetera that you put on it, a gluten free item is tasteless (or I should say tastes the exact same with a worse after taste than any regular dairy made donut). Also for those that are unaware, most gluten free items are dry too. It doesn't say on the menu nor did the very sweet & kind hostess that helped us tell me about them until after I asked her what those little tiny things the Pastry Chef was making in the back. She said those are your donuts & proceeded to tell me they were baked not fried & that they were both vegan & gluten free. I was ordering these donuts thinking that they had the option of EITHER vegan OR gluten free options. Very disappointing considering I researched this space & was told by local friends that it's a must. The regular donuts look absolutely gorgeous & taste (I had to stay neutral about the overall venue & took a bite of my Girlfriends donut) pretty damn good. Do better on the Vegan & Gluten Free donuts. Keep up the high integrity & high quality product that you showcase in the glass cases up front. I'll look forward to coming back in the future. Hopefully there will be some better options (I'm back in town in November). Thank you Team Parlor Doughnuts for the overall hospitality.
We stopped into Parlor Doughnuts in Oceanside this morning and really enjoyed it. We got there right when they opened and had no trouble ordering, and the case was already full of fresh options. The shop itself has a clean, old-school look to it, and it's a good kind of busy inside with people coming in for coffee and boxes to go. We picked out a mix of flavors -- s'mores, churro, raspberry pistachio, strawberry shortcake, and bourbon pecan. All of them were light and layered, almost like a croissant doughnut, and the texture stood out right away. The churro was coated nicely with cinnamon sugar, the raspberry pistachio had a bright flavor and a good crunch from the nuts, and the s'mores one had that classic chocolate and marshmallow combo. The strawberry shortcake was one of our favorites with the whipped topping and real berry flavor, and the bourbon pecan was rich without being too sweet.

I really liked Parlor Doughnuts. The first thing you'll notice is the aroma. You can almost smell the pastries outside the door so you know you're in for a treat! They're right on the corner of Cleveland Street and close to a few shops and restaurants. We ordered a few different doughnuts but my favorite was the strawberry whip cream. It tasted crispy on the outside and soft in the inside and the flavor was great! The service is very quick and easy. They get your selection ready and have you on your way before you know. Id definitely stop by again when in the are. read more

Stopped by on my last day in Oceanside and wish I would've visited sooner!! These donuts were absolutely delish!! I'm not a big donut fan by any means so I'm always a little skeptical trying a new donut spot but these definitely stepped up to the plate. It was a late Saturday morning so by the time we got into the store some flavors, like their strawberry, we're already sold out. Either way, we were still able to find some flavors that called our attention. The attendant at the counter was also very helpful in helping us pick our flavors. We ordered the honey glazed and their s'mores flavor. These donuts are so soft and fluffy and have the perfect frosting to dough ratio. I loved how light and airy the dough felt in comparison to a traditional donut which can be too doughy to me. These donuts can be more comparable to a cronut with their pillowy flaky layers. Sadly, they don't have one in Miami yet but it seems they'll be opening up in Fort Lauderdale. These are definitely donuts I would make a drive for! read more
Great "layered donuts" (think "cronut") and delicious coffee! Went with the Maple Pecan and Cookies and Cream. The donuts are textured more like a flaky croissant and the glaze and frosting combos brought in creamy sweetness. The maple & brown sugar latte was perfectly sweet, without that artificial sweetener taste. You order at the counter and can find seating outside. The ambiance and service were great, and even though it filled up quickly, the line moves quick. read more

I was so excited to go Parlor donuts today since I'm from NorCal. Quality was still good but customer service was horrible!!! I Order donuts and the staff was very rude. 15 minutes later, I called to tell them that the sandy beach donut was clearly raw in the middle. I was told "I will let the bakers know, thanks" and she hung up the phone. Not going back to support a small business that has no customer service!!! Back to sidecar read more

Apparently I was living under a rock. I never knew layered donuts was a thing until we dropped into Parlor Donuts. They're incredibly tasty. Fried crispy layered on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. The fat kid goodness. I don't know how else to describe it other than it's freaking good. Parlor also offers keto friendly which was my main go to. They're made to order depending on availability. I dropped in on the middle of the week and they seem to have some around noonish time. It's a great fix if you're doing keto. Plenty of seating on the outside and clean bathrooms for their customers. Street parking at this location. Cheers read more

Passed by here once before brunch and was so happy I did- now I crave this place all the time. Their donuts are different than any other donut shop- they are almost like a Malasada type texture, with a bit of chewiness like a cronut. The Sandy Beach and French Toast are my favorites. If you're looking for something heavier and sweeter then any of their chocolate options/reese's/cookies n crème is what you're looking for. Service is nice and they typically do have donuts through to the afternoon, but their popular flavors sell out. Ambiance is a very cute small donut shop- with some merchandise, and coffee options. Got these boxes to go and they are still really good at home. These are donuts you don't need to be heated up/freshly made to still be enjoyed. read more
Expect to wait in line but its like a Pinks [hot dogs in LA] thing because we made some new friends in line and it went very fast. There are lots of options and appreciate the water, although I was a little surprised to see some women filling up their flasks [they were like 1/2 gallon] so you can imagine we were tilting the water pitcher to get a cup. The doughnuts were very good. You can never go wrong with the bacon maple but we also shared a Blueberry Hill. Super sweet but there were so many options I panicked and just pointed to the first doughnut in front of me. Yeah, I know I waited in line for a long time but you can't see the complete offering until you get in front of it. The staff and girl that took our order was very nice and everyone around was very professional. read more

I stumbled upon Parlor Doughnuts while in Oceanside for my husband's work and after walking into the store knew I needed to bring my husband back to pick doughnuts to try. We got one salted caramel doughnut to spit and then ended up getting more doughnuts later that night. Our favorite being the Sandy Beach (I think that was the name). The doughnuts look like they'll be greasy and heavy, but they were surprisingly light and fluffy. The only downfall, to me, is that they are more of an eat fresh doughnut and didn't seem to be as great the next day. Would definitely recommend trying. read more

Great selection of donuts and nice little shop in Oceanside! We came here Saturday early afternoon for some donuts and it was my first time. Lots to choose from and plenty of creative ones that are unique to their shop. I got a blueberry hill as I didn't want something super sweet and this hit the spot. Very yummy, just enough blueberry, and not overly sweet, although, I just couldn't finish it all. They also have a small selection of drinks before you get to their display case of donuts with: regular me chocolate milk, apple juice, orange juice, and more. The only thing I'll say is their case was kind of filled with bees flying all around on the donuts and the little bits left over on empty trays inside. As I don't think they can do any harm it was kind of surprising to look inside and see them all over the items read more

I don't have a sweet tooth and prior to Parlor Donuts, I may have bought 1 to 2 donuts a year. After trying these donuts, I've driven down to Oceanside from Los Angeles just to get some 4 times now this year. The dough is absolutely amazing and the price for each donut or a dozen is very reasonable. In Los Angeles I've paid $4 just for a plan glazed that was mediocre at best. Haven't had a donut here I didn't like. Location is great as it's right next to the beach and there's lots of parking nearby. They also have tables outside so you can enjoy them fresh. I didn't give 5 stars due to service. Even though they've always had several people working each time I've gone and once they are assisting you they are very nice, they always seem to chit chat to each other a lot and ignore the customer(s). First time I went, there were 3 employees working and I don't know if it was an employee on an off day or a mutual friend , but a guy was just hanging out gossiping about some girl they all knew. 2 of the employees completely ignored me while the other one was helping the person in front of me. The 2 just leaned on the counter talking to their friend. This went on for about 5 minutes until a group of customers came in. Then 1 employee decided it was time to start working again but instead of helping me, she asked the people behind me what they wanted. Happened again the last time I was there but for a shorter span. It's good to have fun, it's great everyone gets along and chit chat a bit with people you know, but to ignore customers for 5 mins straight and to talk "cr*p" openly about a mutual friend in front of customers is unbecoming of the business. read more

Heard about this place before. It's our first visit. They are located at the prime location. I like they have all these special layered donuts, it's like a denser round croissant with different frosting/flavors. I really like the concept. The donuts are super sweet which I think a lot of people would love the super sweet stuffs. I prefer a more balanced approach where we get to actually taste the flavors other than just sugar alone. Service was good. The staff helping us behind the counter was friendly. The 2-star review is due to hygiene. There were quite a few flies inside the donuts display. I were not going to order any but decided to take a chance. Get a flies zapper or anything to keep the flies away from the donuts. read more

Visiting Oceanside for vacation, and heard about parlor donuts from a friend who loves in town. I broke my Keto diet just to try these donuts, and they are delicious. They actually do have keto donuts on their menu, but have recently pulled them off the menu as they are currently tweaking their keto donuts and recipe testing a layered donut version. I was bummed they didn't have any available. I had to eat half of the donut, and finish the rest later that day because one donut alone is quite a sugar bomb. I had the Sandy Beach, which is one of the favorites and most ordered donuts. It's essentially their version of a plain glazed donut, but it's far from being plain. It was Damn. Good. If you're vacationing in Oceanside/San Diego area, or a local who has never tried Parlor Donuts, treat yo'self and go! And while you're there grab a coffee or tea! read more
The service is fast and friendly. The long line moves quickly. The prices are reasonable, especially since it's on the main street behind the pier and boardwalk. I got a funnel cake at Thursday's market fair for $13 ($12 normally in front of the pier) which was good. But these donuts give funnel cakes a run for their money. I really like the texture of these donuts, with a crunchy outside and croissant-like puffy inside. The Blueberry Hill was excellent, as was the Chocolate, which reminded me of the chocolate chip chocolate cinnamon roll from Stan's Donuts in Westwood, Los Angeles. Parlor should make one of those! The Raspberry Pistachio needed pistachio cream instead of just crushed nuts. The Turtle Cheesecake flavor was muddled, with not enough cheesecake flavor; too much going on, but still decent. There's plenty of street parking all over the area, which is very pleasant and walkable. I'll be back! read more

Too many fantastic choices. Best to buy a dozen to experience the different flavors and concoctions. We were there at 2:00 in the afternoon and there were still many choices. Our choices are all light textured, not doughy, especially the "Cookies and Cream". There are no tables inside but there are tables outside. Service was fast and friendly. read more

I love this place so much. They have the best moist cronuts I ever had locally. The flakiness of the Cronut, the moistness as you bite in it makes me want more thinking about it. My favorite so far are the carnival and the strawberry shortcake. Simple but delicious. My cousins loved the turtle cheesecake, French toast, and campfire flavors. My hubby enjoyed the raspberry pistachio donut. I definitely recommend getting donuts here. The price is also good for being a decent sized Cronut. read more

Tried this place for the first time. They have a wide variety of flavors. Purchased some donuts to share with the family. The donut itself was very fluffy, kind of reminded me of a croissant. Not doughy, which is the way I like it. The banana creme pie (seasonal) was not too sweet (the cream filling). The rest of the flavors were all pretty good, except some tasted very similar. Overall, all pretty delicious! read more
This is a great spot for doughnuts! They are located 2 blocks from the Oceanside pier. Staff are friendly and efficient. These are not your basic typical donuts. They are large and fluffy! They have a great variety. Today they had 2 doughnuts that were filled. One was a raspberry jelly and the other one they had was filled with coconut. My mom tried the raspberry filled one. It was really good! The jelly was fresh and not too sweet. I had the strawberry shortcake. It was topped with fresh strawberries, icing, and a touch of whipped cream. It was delicious! My sister got the Salty beach which was the frosted glaze with cinnamon sugar nice and light. The donuts were flaky and easy to pull apart. Check them out you won't be disappointed. This is a MUST if you are in DT Oceanside. read more

Can you order parlor donuts online and could they be mailed to Ohio?
Hi Joe, Because we cannot guarantee the same quality and experience as you’d receive in-store, we currently do not ship our donuts.
Do you know if they accept ApplePay? They're not picking up their phone. I forgot my wallet at home (in Rancho Bernardo) and I'm in the area? 😭
Yes, I've only used Apple Pay there
Do they deliver?
What is the carb and protein content on the keto doughnuts?
Who cares?!!! It's a amazing treat! You probably shouldn't even try them. They are only for foodies!
Hi i wana buy im on Fontana CA. You send box?
I'm almost positive they don't ship. But I'm sure they will be able to answer your questions if you call 😊
