Parlor Doughnuts - Entry - Donuts Near Me - Oceanside, California

The only reason I even tolerate this place is the donuts are exceptional and then I only come in once every three or four months, but I stopped in today with my family and the young man behind the counter has a filthy dirty ball cap on and a filthy dirty black T-shirt, neither of which have "parlor" on them. I have a feeling the only reason they stay in business is because of location because if it was based on customer service and cleanliness, they'd get a big fat zero. read more

The parlor doughnut Co. Is a legit bakery. They feature a unique variety of doughnuts that would be more like a light, fluffy croissant-ish doughnut. Our hands-down favorite was the French Toast doughnut. On our walk back to Wyndham Oceanside we gulped down the entire thing. I'd probably enjoy a bit more frosting on the doughnuts we sampled, because they are pretty large. Although the price is close to $4 a piece, it wouldn't keep us away:) they also serve a variety of coffees. Thanks Parlor, for doing it up so well! read more

These doughnuts are amazing. A bit crispy on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside with the most decadent toppings. Don't be afraid of the line as it moves fast. Unfortunately they were sold out of the gluten & vegan options by 9:30am on a Sunday morning. Even an order of two is boxed up nicely. read more

I loved the fun flavors and trying a variety of these doughnuts, which are definitely more of a cro-nut! They have so many fun flavors and options to try! I think the strawberry shortcake was one of my favorites! The whipped cream on top was so fresh and delicious. They are very sweet and rich though, so I'd recommend cutting them up and sharing! read more

Parlor Doughnuts are hands down the best donuts I have ever. The doughnuts have this incredible texture that's somewhere between a typical donut and a croissant. The churro doughnut was my absolute favorite. Flavor was great and it was flakey on the outside and pillowy on the inside. read more

Their raspberry filled minis are to die for! I could eat a dozen of them in one sitting. Their doughnuts are filled with flaky layers and the un-iced parts are crispy so totally my vibe. I tried their regular doughnuts and the raspberry pistachio ones are why I'd come back. I didn't care for the dreamsicle, they were too sweet for my liking. The lines can get long, but they are quite efficient. The parking on the other hand is a nightmare. read more

I don't know why I haven't reviewed. I've been so many times and recommend anyone coming from out of town to these donuts. These taste perfectly made with dough and plumpness of a donut but yummy flakiness of a croissant. They're made fresh and be sure to wait in line. It's worth it! The wait isn't so bad. The only thing I don't recommend is probably their espresso. Maybe it's gotten better but it's a donut shop so def get the donuts. read more

I spent the weekend in Oceanside at the Mission Pacific Hotel. I saw several people carrying these long boxes. I piqued my interest. I what did it for me was when someone carried the box into the elevator at the hotel. I had to ask him what was in the box. He said it was parlor donuts and that their donuts look different. They have us directions and I decided to visit them for a 3 p.m. snack. The place is 5 minutes within walking distance from Mission Pacific. It's on the corner by Toasted Gastropub. There's plenty of seating outside. The sign and decor outside is hip. Inside they have decorated the place with old world charm. You can buy coffee bags and merchandise. The donuts! There are 3 cases of donuts displayed. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I should've checked reviews first. I went with the peanut butter cup, strawberry shortcake, bourbon and maple bacon. The one thing that is similar about all their donuts were the taste. The base of the donut was a rolled cronut. It tasted like a crispy croissant on the outside and soft dough in the middle. It was very different. The peanut butter cup was oozing with chocolate. The chocolate was dripping out of the donut and got all over everything. Otherwise, the peanut flavor was lacking for me. 8/10. The bourbon donut was OK. Again, it was dripping and oozing. 8/10 Strawberry shortcake was my favorite. The strawberries were fresh. I kept going for more bites. It was so good. 10/10. The maple bacon was good. It's sprinkled with real bacon bits. The maple was subtle 8/10. There were so many choices that I would definitely like to come back and try them. read more

Still my favorite donut place. There's something for everyone, their coffee is good (IMO). Visited on a Saturday and the line was short around 7:45am, it was much busier after 8:15a. Sat outside on tables, enjoyed the nice SD morning, great location and you could walk to beach from storefront. read more

Heard about donuts and had to check them out. My wife liked the peanut butter chocolate. We also ordered my favorite maple bacon which was good but my real favorites were the strawberry shortcake with real strawberries and the bourbon carmel. These were quite good and the donuts themselves were moist and fresh with a more croissant style which I found was very good. The service was fast, friendly, and helpful. The inside was quaint and inviting with plenty of outside seating. read more

My favorite donut place. But it's not really a donut it's a cronut which is a piece of heaven.

Quick, friendly service and the donut was delicious. I got the vanilla carnival donut - very doughy but I like that! Would definitely go again if there was one closer to me - in town from Austin! read more

Get duck tacos at Toasted, walk the pier then warm up to a sugary donut! Free street parking after 6, be sure to read the signs well. Love you Oceanside!!!!! Wanna spend the whole day downtown? Parking next to this place is $5 all day. We walked, was a nice night. We took our friend, Javiar (photo) to walk the Pier (super close to Parlor's) and headed back to car, realizing how close we were, 15 mins before close... no time to talk myself out of a sugar coma, it'd been a year since we splurged on unhealthy donuts so we went for it. $30 for 13, they were closing, we wanted 5, they said buy two more and we'll give you a box for free. So we did. Bam, 13 for $30. Barely could finish 1/2 of two donuts (more for later though *wink*). Really any donut with bacon is the best, but the caramel one in our surprise box was the true star (possibly caramel bourbon). I did taste a tiny bite of each one lol so that's probably why I couldn't the winning donut. Was glad to get to try different ones, but the rest weren't that grand. Truly a personal preference situation here in which ones are yummy though. Our choice box: - Campfire was creative but very bland - Maple bacon was splendid, but aren't ALL things with bacon?! - same - cookies n cream was ranked third and was the finally one that was yummy 'worth the calories' delight. - turtle cheesecake, cheesecake part was actually TOO sweet. And would love to see it with just pecans, the peanuts robbed all the flavor. Made it a dry donut. - another cookie n cream - carnival (didn't try, was ate up before I had a chance) Surprise box: - maybe French toast? Was dry n bland - reg turtle... way too dry. Not good. Lose the peanuts would help 100%. They rob the flavor. - maybe caramel bourbon? Was the STAR donut. So good! - glazed, too dry. bland - mint choc. Dry but minty - raspberry pistachio possibly?, was too dry Again, we came near closing time on a whim. So that could be why so many were super dry. Quite expensive even with the 6 free since only 3-4 were fresh tasting. But they are BIG donuts so maybe go for a box of Bacon, caramel, and cookie cream ones if it's later in the day, since they were NOT dry at all and really really yummy! Three FULL stars for the 3 top donuts, 2 missing stars for the 9 dry (some even blah) ones. I wanna try strawberry next. We'll go again since there's so many more we've not tried. We just need to go earlier in order to possibly get them when they are fresh. read more

I was so excited to try this place. Coming from Huntington, we have donut shops like The Donuttery, which offers AMAZING vegan options. The vegan donuts here were such a letdown. Dry, crumbly and extremely dense. It's unfortunate that they're grouped together with gluten free and keto. The service wasn't that great either and the tip options started at 25%, which was shocking. I will not be returning. read more

I've wanted to try their donuts since they opened! Most of the time I feel like it's too busy with tourists around here. Today I was out for a walk and decided to stop by. So good! Best enjoyed FRESH! 10/10. More of a croissant style donut, there isn't actually a donut hole. Pro tip: The flavors are in regards to the icing and or toppings, each donut itself is identical. Love the strawberry fields, and all other fruit/berry flavors. read more

Wow, these were really something special! I would say these donuts are a mix between croissant, donut, and brioche. They're much less greasy than "Cronuts" but they do have have the flaky, light, slightly chewy, airy texture like the center of a croissant or brioche. The outside is crispy without being oily. We got the lemon bar, raspberry filling, sandy beach, and peanut butter chocolate. We also grabbed a mini coconut filled bite. Every single thing was great. The star of each donut truly is the dough and the toppings came in to enhance the dough. The hype is well deserved and I would definitely come back for these. read more

Finally found the best doughnuts in the world Bourbon Glazed: 10/10 all dough is like a slightly undercooked croissant, chewy, not greasy. sugar and cinnamon with a perfectly balanced glaze. Maple Bacon: 7/10 bacon made it a little greasy and the maple was a bit sweeter than the bourbon so overall too rich/greasy for me Pumpkin Chai 3/10: didn't taste pumpkin or chai. let down by the lack of flavors. over all 8.7/10 so worth going to. the bourbon one was the best bite on my entire trip. read more

These are amazing donuts! I'm not sure they are donuts as much as they are perfectly crafted croissants in a doughnut form with amazing ingredients! These are not cronuts! The dough is soft and flavorful and offers a perfect platform to incorporate layers of flavor and fresh ingredients. We had the churro, blueberry, pistachio, raspberry, vanilla, peanut butter, and chocolate. They were all delicious! The donuts themselves look like they would be really heavy and dense. This could be not farther from the truth. The donuts are light and enjoyable in the mouth. It's hard to understand how good these donuts are just by looking at them. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by and grab a few donuts! These are really unique and delicious. Finally made it yesterday! (The very first time I came, it was closed as they was a problem with the equipment. I was very bummed as I had a list of what I wanted). Overall, the donuts were delicious. Very interesting base of the donut. It's the same for all 3, just different toppings and fillings. Now, the Mayan Mocha was very tasty. Not too sweet and not too cinnamoney. This will be a treat once in a while as it's too far for me. Will try the other flavors in the future. read more

Donuts or cronuts? Probably the latter, because it definitely had those flaky layers you see in a croissant and also yeasty. We tried three: blueberry hill, maple bacon and french toast. Blueberry was my favorite of the three, not overly sweet and good texture. Maple bacon and french toast had the same airy flaky layers but just different toppings but too sweet from the icing. I thought the saltiness from the bacon would balance the sweetness, but it didn't. Service was very helpful. read more

Came across Parlor Doughnuts while visiting Oceanside. It was just down the street from my hotel, and a very short walk to the beach. The first day I came, we were greeted by a friendly employee who asked if we had questions about anything. We ordered a couple of doughnuts and lattes, which were really really tasty. I had the Turtle cheesecake doughnut, which was absolutely outstanding. I came back in the next day just before leaving to go home. The girl who helped us did not greet us at all; just says "how many doughnuts will you be ordering?" There was no greeting, not even a smile. Just kind of generally unfriendly. She then rang us up and placed the box on the counter and walked away. There was no "thank you, bye, etc," nothing. One star taken off for the unfriendly service the second time. Otherwise, their donuts are quite delightful. read more

Life changing donuts. I wish there was a parlor donuts where I lived. Customer service was amazing...super friendly. Great vibes all around.

The guy at the counter was not friendly and I was told it would 10 minutes for one of their savory donuts. After waiting 15, I checked with the girl working the counter and I was told "it's coming and they have to make them one at a time". Then after waiting 25 minutes I again asked it was coming and was told " I don't know what happened" and the dude just shrugged his shoulders. So I said if they didn't make it I'd like money back. I barely got an "sorry about that". The two people working there clearly saw me waiting the whole time. The girl working the counter was more concerned about feeding her little sister who came for a visit while she was working and the dude working clearly hate his job. So the service stinks! Try a different donut shop. read more
