From Chicago, first time at Parlor. These donuts are very different from the ones I'm used to. The best donuts by us are what I would call 'cake' donuts. They are dense and heavy, but delicious! Parlor donuts have a bread-like taste. I'm exaggerating, but they're like a piece of very good French bread with all the sweet stuff on top. I prefer cake donuts, but these are excellent too. I got the maple pecan and it was unspeakably good : ) read more

Doughnuts and coffee are great, we got the maple bacon and cookies and cream, with a cortado sweeten with blonde mix. BUTTTT! The service was a bit cold, informative but you could tell the workers just weren't having an ok time when we went in. I get people having bad days but I said thank you twice over the counter to our barista and no response... I asked what time their open till because we saw their savory doughnuts and were tempted to come back after we hit the beach but then being met with another no answer was pretty off putting. Which I get having a bad day and I won't dish service workers but i genuinely appreciated our food and wished for a better experience to potentially return. read more

The good: Can't beat these donuts for flavor, technique and style! Delicious! I had the raspberry pistachio and it was a little crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Well balanced between sweet and tart. The dough tastes great and you can tell it's fresh. Areas that need improvement: We went on a Saturday afternoon and the shop needed some TLC. There were 4 young men working and they were all kinda just hanging behind the counter chatting. I had to let them know that the water station was dry. One guy kinda looked at me like "what do you want?" Before another came over to help. When you have 4 guys working, the bathroom and trash cans should have looked way better. All the outside trash cans were full and the tables could have been cleaner. The bathroom was rough too! There was even a list on the door of the cleaning tasks but doesn't look like anyone had done it that day. I can understand in the morning rush things getting overlooked but at almost 2pm there was no line and those things should have been taken care of. Toilet scrubbed, supplies restocked, etc. looked like these young guys needed someone managing them closer. read more

Wow - talk about fancy schmancy donuts! These are some of the best I've ever had in my life, no wonder why people are talking about this place non-stop! We had to get (almost) every flavor possible and tried all of them. The flavors were explosive, true to the fruits and flavors they were going after. Yes, it can be a bit pricey, but these aren't your average day-to-day donuts. These are donuts you get when you really want to treat yourself, when you're taking a box to a baby shower or a birthday celebration, some great occasion! You def get what you pay for! read more

Crack cocaine has nothing on this place. So addictive and so delicious. Come get your sugar high on! We love love this place. Been here many times over the last year since randomly finding it one day while hanging out in Oceanside. Some pretty good cronut's. Large, fluffy, and so sweet. They sell so much volume that everything is incredibly fresh, I'm baked to sell. there's a lot of different flavors but it's really just a topping on top of the cronut. For those people that don't know what a cronut is, it's basically a donut made out of croissant. Scott all the buttery flavor of a croissant, and an all the sweetness of a doughnut. Very delicious and very addictive. read more

Has a great visit to Parlor Doughnuts! All of the workers were friendly, efficient, AND patient as I tried my best to make my choices quickly! The churro donut was sold out when we got to the front of the line but then they brought some fresh ones out! So naturally, I had to try one! We also got a carnival donut (this was ok - mostly just sprinkles), and a strawberry shortcake donut. All so delicious! Our favorite by far was the churro one (not pictured). We also got a small coconut treat too. They also have savory breakfast and a great beverage selection too! Can't wait to go back and try more donut flavors! read more

In chasing doughnuts across the state, I can say these are hands down the best in CA. The doughnuts are honestly unlike any others I've had. My best description is to say it is a delicious mound of flakey layered dough. The texture is not as structured as a traditional "cronut" but rather more like pull apart fluffy pastry. Atop this are a number of different glazed flavors, chocolate, and/or and plenty of powdered sugar. Some of our favorites are the blueberry, the chocolate peanut butter, and the sandy beach (vanilla glazed with powdered sugar). Add a coffee and it's a perfect treat any time of day. If you're visiting, hanging at the beach, or just passing through this is a must stop! read more

I'm not a doughnut guy whatsoever but, damn it all, these are really good doughnuts. And they cost $3 each so they better be good. There was a short line on a Saturday morning and it moved quickly. Literally every single doughnut behind the glass sounded good. Someone came up with a lot of interesting creations. We went with the Reese's which has--what else--chocolate and peanut butter on top. It had no filling and didn't need any. It was wonderfully fresh and probably the softest doughnut I've ever tried. It was delicious. The place is tiny but charming. There's stained glass and all sorts of interesting decor. Expensive...but worth it. read more

Stopped in on our morning walk around Oceanside while visiting friends. Interesting lil donut shop with some quirky historical flair to it, the donuts looked great so we ordered a sandy beach and maple bacon to go. The maple bacon was outstanding and super delicious! The texture/dough is a bit different than a traditional donut giving it a thicker texture but we enjoyed them. Easy to get to and a fun stop on your walk around Oceanside and the pier. read more

Parlor easily ranks in the tops for donut experiences! The layered donut was DELECTABLE. In fact, it was so good that I went back to Parlor before flying home so that I could continue to savor it back home! On my first experience, I went with the blueberry. The blueberry glaze was deliciously fragrant without being too sweet. I'll also say that this donut tasted better to me being pulled apart than being bitten. When I pulled it apart, I could actually detect the butteriness of the layered donut so much more which really drew me in! On the night before leaving, I went back for the french toast flavor and the raspberry pistachio. Between the two, I think raspberry pistachio eeked out the win. What can I say? I like my fruit flavors! All in all, you ABSOLUTELY owe yourself a try. Might I also just throw in the fact that these behemoths start at just only $2.75 each?! Be still my heart and stay full my purse. If my stomach were bigger and/or if I lived closer, I would have definitely helped myself to more Parlor! Can't wait to be back! read more

We visited this place 4 times in 4 days. We got the cinnamon sugar minis almost every day of our vacation. They are delicious, especially with the maple dipping sauce. My daughter had one of their regular doughnuts and she liked it. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because no one asked me or suggested the app/rewards until my third visit. As sombody who HATES Doughnuts, I have to say this place serves DELICIOUS donuts. We were dining at a restaurant next door, where I noticed a delicious smell of fresh coffee/sweets. So naturally I referred to my good 'ol pal Yelp to see how good the reviews are. After seeing how people rave about the place, we decided to check it out. The employees were super nice and welcoming. They had tons of different flavors and they all looked GIANT! I can't believe people buy dozens of these things and manage to eat them all up by themselves. That day I was feeling adventurous since the last donut that I had was about 9 years ago, I thought I should try one. Considering that the regular donuts looked so giant and not so appealing to me, I asked the employee about the gluten free options and which one would she recommend. She said the blueberry flavor, so I went ahead with it. We also got the jelly filled regular donut. The gluten-free donut is about 1/3 of the size of the regular ones but I didn't care because it was delicious!!!! Considering that I don't like sweets, I ended up eating just 1/4 of the donut and after 2 days, I still have 1/4 of it left. Lol Regardless of my unusual sweets eating habit, surprisingly I enjoyed the donut. I will never go out of my way to a donut shop by no means, but I am happy I got to try their donuts and review them. read more

Oh, man! I was really looking forward to having my mouth explode with sheer deliciousness! I mean, we weren't too disappointed what wifey ordered was fantastic. However, mine was like biting into a doughnut with cold butter as a spread. Wifey said it was cream cheese. but since when is cream cheese yellow? The coffee was lukewarm and that didn't go well with cold butter. :)) The service was impeccable though! The young men were very polite and nice. That made up for the cool coffee and cold doughnut. I should have gone back and had them heat it up but it wasn't that serious to walk back for. The next time we will have them heat them up and make sure the coffee is hot as well. My bad! I look forward to coming back and trying some more of those mouth-watering pastries. Y'all, you will certainly enjoy this spot. It was a nice ambiance as well. Visiting from Florida, daughter (lives nearby) suggested we go there, but had a very good tip - to avoid the very significant sugary coatings, one may ask the staff attending your order to get a freshly prepared donut before topping, and they will sprinkle a fresh donut with cinnamon and a dash of sugar. Same great crunch, much less sweet topping(s). Servers are extra polite. I even got a military discount. What a country! read more

I accidentally stumbled onto this cool donut shop. Their niche are the cronut donuts. Let me tell you, this is not like everyone else's Cronuts for 3 reasons: not oily tasting, not overly sweet, and not overly dry. The way I would describe these cronuts is like having a fluffy donut and a crispy croissant. It flakes and crunches but yet chewy and soft. I'm still drooling writing this review. My only cons are: trash bins were overflowed so while we were eating outdoors it was unappetizing. Also bees flew into the donut windows so that was a bit weird to see bugs with your donuts. Lastly, do pass on the iced earl grey tea. They literally take cold ice water and throw a tea bag in it. Coffee was subpar too, more acidic and was served Luke warm. It totally didn't balanced the awesome cronuts. My favorite cronut were the peach cream and blueberry cronuts. read more

Not to mention the side potato pancake, a meal in itself! And the pancakes? Big, pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. The French toast was golden on the outside, soft and almost custardy in the middle. Basically, breakfast had no business being this good. After 5/6 years between visits, I think I waited long enough. This is definitely a wave I'd ride again!

It's such a fantastic, family-friendly location with a lively atmosphere and great local energy. The service was wonderfully attentive and made us feel right at home. For my main meal, I went with a veggie omelet and added hot links. I initially thought adding the hot links might be a bit too much, but it turned out to be the perfect combination! Next time, I'll just make a mental note to ask for no mushrooms, and the tomatoes were a bit heavy for my preference, but overall it was delicious. I also grabbed a side of bacon, which was cooked just right. Now for the highlight of the meal: the omelet usually comes with a side of toast, and I was torn between that and their famous coffee cake. I originally ordered the toast, but as soon as our server stepped away, I had a change of heart and asked to swap it for the coffee cake. I am so glad I did! It came out with an amazing warm crust, wonderful texture, and delicious frosting. If you aren't a big fan of heavy sweets, the frosting might be a little rich, but for a treat, it was incredible! Tips: When you pull up and park, keep in mind that the main entrance isn't right where you park--it's actually located on the other side near the street light corner. If you're debating between toast or the coffee cake, go for the coffee cake! You can always ask for the frosting on the side if you prefer it a bit less sweet. Our server was genuinely kind and noticed small details about our family throughout the night, going out of her way to make sure everyone -- baby included -- felt taken care of. It's family-friendly, but easily works for a date night too. Drinks were alcohol-forward and well made. Mine was similar to a very well-crafted old fashioned. For appetizers, we had the oysters and the pea soup. The oysters were very good, though the greens mixed in made them a bit tricky to swallow whole. The pea soup, on the other hand, was delicious. For mains, my wife had the sea bass and I had the pork schnitzel. My wife raved about the sea bass, saying it tasted a league or two above what the price would suggest. My schnitzel was equally delicious -- perfectly deep-fried, with vegetables on the side that cut nicely through the richness. Price came out to about $85 per person, which felt very reasonable given the quality across the board. A Delectable Delight by the ocean: A Review of The Donut Haven If you find yourself strolling along the beach, craving a delightful treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, look no further than The Donut Haven. Nestled in a charming corner, this donut shop offers an unforgettable experience that combines a diverse range of flavors, cozy ambiance, and the perfect location for beachgoers. From the moment I stepped inside The Donut Haven, I was greeted by the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked goods. The friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home, eager to ensure my visit was nothing short of exceptional. The shop boasts a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern aesthetics. One of the highlights of The Donut Haven is their remarkable variety of donuts. From classic flavors to innovative creations, there is a donut to suit every taste bud. As a true connoisseur, I couldn't help but appreciate the quality of their offerings. The moment I sank my teeth into the French toast donut, I was transported to breakfast heaven. The perfect balance of sweetness and cinnamon-infused goodness made it an instant favorite. What sets The Donut Haven apart from other establishments is their commitment to inclusivity. Catering to various dietary preferences, they offer an impressive selection of vegan and keto donuts. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of these options, proving that indulgence need not compromise personal dietary choices. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, The Donut Haven provides a versatile dining experience. Whether you prefer to bask in the warm sunshine or enjoy a cozy nook indoors, there is a spot to suit your preference. The outdoor seating area, in particular, offers a splendid view of the beach, allowing you to savor your treats while immersing yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. In conclusion, The Donut Haven has truly won my heart with its exceptional donut creations, warm atmosphere, and beachside location. The French toast donut stole the show, but the overall variety and quality of their offerings are enough to keep any donut enthusiast coming back for more. Their commitment to accommodating different dietary needs is commendable, and the inviting seating options make it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a bite while taking a leisurely beach walk. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in a delectable delight at The Donut Haven. read more

After waiting in a very long line, we were told that this place only accepts exact change. What? Our bill came to $7.31 and we attempted to pay with a $10 bill. They said they could not give us back change, so we would have to give them an extra $2.69 if we wanted our donut and juice. Who owns this place? The girl behind the counter didn't seem to see anything wrong with extorting money from cash paying customers. So I remarked that if we wanted our purchase, one of of would get screwed. Either she gives it to us for $5 and the business eats the $2.31, or we give her $10 and we get screwed out of $2.69. What type of people run a business this way? After the consistently long line of people, they have NO CHANGE to run a business ethically? I grew up in a family business and if we were ever this ill-prepared, we would never expect our customers to take on the burden of our stupidity by claiming that the cash drawer only had "pennies" which the girl at the counter tried to tell us. Our business is still open and thriving 48 years later, I doubt Parlor Doughnuts will ever enjoy that longevity treating customers this way. What a joke this place is! read more

Parlor Doughnuts in Oceanside is hands down the best donut spot in town. From the very first bite you can taste the quality, freshness, and creativity in every donut. The layered dough is perfectly soft, buttery, and crispy at the same time -- unlike any regular donut. Every flavor we tried was absolutely incredible, especially the French Toast and Churro. You can truly tell they put passion into everything they make. The service was just as amazing as the donuts. The staff was welcoming, friendly, patient, and made the whole experience feel warm and inviting from the moment we walked in. Even when busy, they kept a smile on their faces and treated everyone with kindness. The location is beautiful and perfect as well, right in the heart of Oceanside with such a great atmosphere. I've been a customer at Parlor Doughnuts for the past couple of years, and unfortunately, my most recent visit in October 2026 was extremely disappointing. My previous experiences had been really positive, and I was always happy with the service and quality. I regularly purchased two dozen doughnuts to bring in for my team members, so I was a returning customer who genuinely enjoyed supporting this location. Unfortunately, after my last experience, I no longer feel comfortable returning. The service was disappointing enough that I've decided I will no longer be purchasing two dozen doughnuts for my team. It's especially frustrating because my previous visits had been such a positive experience, which made this last visit even more disappointing. I really hope management takes the feedback seriously because this experience completely changed my impression of the business. At this point, I will not be returning. read more
