    Chilaquiles
    Brittany D.

I met up with a friend here and it was a nice spot. It's very modern and has a decent amount of seating. The food was good and bit better than I expected. I ordered the chilaquiles and I really enjoyed the flavor. I would definitely go back. I dislike that they don't allow reservations since it makes meet ups a bit difficult.

Great food, but be prepared to wait it's one of those spots where patience really matters. It was pretty busy when we went, with about a 30-minute wait to be seated. We ordered right away as soon as we sat down, but it still took over an hour for the food to come out just something to keep in mind. It did seem like a rush, though. Melanie was our server and was kind and attentive despite how busy it was. I had the steak and eggs, which were really good, the steak came with a sauce that caught me off guard but worked well, and the cheesy potato balls were a fun and flavorful surprise. My friend ordered the chilaquiles, a popular item, but found them underwhelming, too spicy and lacking flavor, even though she enjoys spice. Overall, I'd come back again, just knowing ahead of time that the wait can be long.

Best food, amazing menu and fabulous drinks! Great for tourists and locals! Ask for Juliet or Mel best staff!! Can't say enough about this awesome place I love the good ol Benny and the lavender mimosa!

Came here for brunch and had a fantastic time. We started with the mimosa flight, which let me try the pineapple, mango, classic and hibiscus flavors. The mango was easily my favorite, annd I really appreciate that they gave a very heavy pour on the champagne. For food, we ordered the breakfast sammy and the Res eggs. The red eggs were packed with flavor and loaded with fresh vegetables. Every thing felt high quality and well prepared. But make a reservation or come early, this place gets packed.

I stopped by Toasted while I was in Oceanside for work and it ended up being the perfect breakfast/brunch spot. The space has a really nice open feel and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to sit back and enjoy your meal. The menu has a great variety of options, including some choices if you're vegetarian. I just wish they had oatmeal lol. They were also very accommodating with modifications, which made ordering easy. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying exactly what you want from a good brunch spot. It's the kind of place that feels casual but still well done. If I'm back in Oceanside again for work, I'd definitely stop by Toasted again. A solid and reliable brunch choice in the area.

Great experience! Our favorite was the Denver-ish scramble. Thick cuts of ham, paired with plenty of flavorful vegetables and seasoned just right. For the Plain Jane dish, I really enjoyed the flavor-bomb of the roasted tomato (such a nice touch)! The fruit was crispy, sweet and fresh. I think next time, we will pass on the truffle potatoes. We weren't the biggest fan of the texture, which felt a little doughnut-like. Would definitely come again!

TL;DR - #1 brunch spot in America!! Lobster avocado toast was really good (generous amounts of lobster). Stuffed french toast is a dream for anyone with a sweet tooth for breakfast. The lavender lady was very refreshing and had me buzzed all morning! This place is known as the number 1 brunch spot in the USA! After dining here, I can say that I agree! The interior is very spacious and beautiful. Lots of seating is available. The wait staff is very friendly. We went for breakfast soon after it opened. The place was packed by the time we left. The lobster avocado toast was really good. I normally wouldn't get something like this because I enjoy sweet breakfast items, but I gave it a chance, and I do not regret it. The avocado was buttery and the lobster was generous. The stuffed french toast is something I'd normally get and love. There was a lot on the plate which is perfect for a fatty like myself. It was sweet, savory, and perfect in every way. I'd get this one again! I also got their lavender lady since we were on vacation (lol). It was very refreshing! And I forget what they put in there and wonder how much alcohol they pour into it because I was happily buzzed for most of my morning! Highly recommend and would come back!

    Short Rib Benny

Short Rib Benny ($22) - I finally know why this is one of the top rated brunch spots in the US! Short Rib in an Eggs Benedict is genius. The meat was so tender and paired very well with the harissa hollandaise. Also, their truffle potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Highly recommend!

Delicious! Absolutely delicious. The place gets busy and it's a little bit crowded/tight. But the service is amazing, the server was kind enough to suggest extra flavors for our food. (She gave us blackberry jam for your Elvis French toast) and extra tomato for my plain Jane. You can definitely understand why it's rated number 1. Amazing. 100000% will come back.

    Ariel O.

Absolutely loved Toasted Gastropub. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was perfectly executed with rich hollandaise tender eggs and great balance of flavors. The toasted potato balls were the real standout though, so unique and insanely delicious with a crispy outside and soft flavorful center. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and elevated without being pretentious. A great spot for brunch if you want something familiar but done really well. I will definitely be coming back. Service was fast and informative!

We returned to Toasted after management reached out to address our first visit, which had fallen short on service and presentation. This second experience was a complete turnaround. Our waiter was much more attentive and friendly, making the meal feel welcoming from the start. The food also tasted significantly better this time; everything was prepared well and looked great. It's clear the team took our feedback seriously. We really appreciated the follow-up and the great service. We'll definitely be back.

Carla and Polo are the best!! Everything from the atmosphere to the service was spot on. I ordered the BLT with turkey and the lobster Benedict, and both dishes were incredible. The BLT was perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients, and the lobster Benedict was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. That bacon!!!! was extra crispy, wow! And to pair them with great cocktails is beyond expected. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe made it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely a 5-star experience--I'll be coming back for sure. Carla and Polo are amazing! Best in the business! If you're in Oceanside, you have to come here!

Berry Crunch French Toast, same thing. Our friends ate the Stratford Scramble and it was just 3/5 as well. PRICE - considering the food is nothing special, I wondered why we are paying a higher price for it. Definitely overpriced unless you really care about eating at the harbor, looking at the water through some dirty glass. SERVICE - their current set up is to take your order, take your money, and give you a number. That would fine and dandy except that the girl who was taking orders ALSO had to play bartender. The line seems to be so long and take forever because she'll take your order, then spend 5 minutes making drinks or doing something else before taking the next person's order. Maybe this is their way to handle the traffic because tables are full and maybe they are down staff members. Either way, I was disappointed at the speed/organization. HEALTH CODE VIOLATION - the cherry on top to all of this happened since I had so much time in line to observe. The girl taking orders would take an order, process payment by touching the POS system, then scoop ice into a glass for the drink she was making (this time was a Bloody Mary), handle bottles of alcohol, and FINALLY, touch the bacon and garnishes for the Bloody Mary all without washing her hands. No doubt there have been many hands that have touched all of those things and contaminated them, all for her to touch food at the end without washing her hands. The POS system is also about 10 feet away from the bathroom so all of this adds up to something that seems risky and needs to be fixed.
