Breakfast burrito
Josh B.

I've been coming to O'side bakery every weekend for almost a year, and it's delicious every time. Their coffee selection is good. They come out with a seasonal menu too. Their scrambles, and croissants are incredible. I get the breakfast burrito, or the ham and cheese croissant weekly. I've tried all the sandwiches, but none have really hit home for me. The service is awesome everyone is so kind and helpful. It's a cozy atmosphere inside with art on the walls that I think artists are having for sale. The outdoor seating is nice as well. My only gripe is that the brewed coffee is sometimes not very hot!! And that's frustrating. But all their crafted and espresso drinks are pretty great.

Visiting some friends in oceanside and they brought us to this cute little bakery near their house! They serve breakfast and lunch (sandwiches), and have a HUGE array of pastries, cakes, croissants, tarts... beautifully laid out french-style. You can sit inside or outside. I got their omelette and wasnt super impressed. The fruit looked a little old, and the baguette was really soft - not toasted or crusty. The pastries were good though, and the service was quick and very kind! There was a bit of a line on Sunday, but my friends told me it usually stays pretty quiet! I wouldnt come back unless it was for a grab and go pastry from the window.

The best looking fruit tatted and snacks!

Highlights! Service is always on point no matter who helps you. The pastries are fresh daily (we always take about 3-4 home) and their regular breakfast and lunch menu is tasty and filling. The restaurant is self seating after you order and the restaurant is consistently clean, soft music in the background, and rotating artists are featured on their walls. We love coming here (weekly if possible). We like to bring our pups and sit on the sizable patio outside, but there is more than enough room to sit inside too. The front of the house team is always moving (serving, cleaning, welcoming guests, etc.) but they are they are always personable and polite. Thank you to Joey who helped us today; we left the register laughing. I know this may see small to some, but the service here seems to care a little more and that has made a big difference in our experiences.

Mozzarella jalapeño croissant

Morning hike with friends and we decided food was a must. They suggested here. Glad we followed their suggestion. It's an order at the counter place and as you wait you drool over the pastries. Had the blueberry tart and a mozzarella jalapeño croissant. Plus a California Benedict. Everything was delicious. The only complaint would be if coffee was served in real cups for dining in service. The tables are packed in yet doesn't feel to restricting.

Portions are on the larger side, sometimes it's better to share. I like that we are able to go up and order when ready. The food comes out fairly quickly. There has been times when it has taken longer but it hasn't kept me from coming back. It's conveniently open at 6am which is a plus. There is plenty on seating inside, it's a great place for a quick breakfast.

I'm so comfortable coming here for a solo breakfast date & I LOVE their coffee! they're always changing it up too! so yummy &&& don't even get me started on the pastries way too good

Not only are the baked foods delicious- so are the eggs Benedict and the coffees! Staff is very nice too! The order at the counter line moves quickly.

Social media brought me in solely for the Ube croissant but I had no idea I'd stumble upon such a buzzing inland Oceanside gem outside of the usual downtown scene! The menu? Loved it. The whole place was hustling, vibrant, and full of good energy. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their orders, and I definitely did too. One small heads-up for first-time visitors: please read and respect the house rules. Don't claim a table before ordering it's part of what keeps the flow working in such a popular spot. Super excited to see what future Filipino-inspired items hit the menu next. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered an omelet with artichokes, ham, and pesto (forgot the name, but highly recommend it!) -- the flavors were amazing and perfectly cooked. Just wished the bread was warmed or toasted. The salsa on the side for the breakfast burrito had just the right spicy kick to it. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, bright, clean, and full of that local charm. Definitely one of those spots you want to linger and enjoy your morning coffee. I'll be back for sure! Tip: you must order before you sit.

Cookie Butter Latte

New favorite is the cookie butter latte!! I hope they keep this through Christmas. The barista told me they make all of their own syrups for their special seasonal drinks. I come here once a week!

I am sad I love nowhere near here. I stopped by twice in a weekend, once on my way down to SD and again on the way up because it was soooo good! We tried a variety of pastries ans breakfast items and they were all tasty. The fruit tart is scrumptious! And the sausage croissant was one of the best I've had in a while - it was simple but with quality ingredients. The service was hit or miss, with on visit being a little standoff-ish and the second the service was so welcoming. There was plenty of seating and very open and airy, lending itself to a nice ambiance. I like that they have a sign not to save tables until you have ordered so people actually have a chance to find a spot when done ordering. It will always be on my agenda to stop if I'm in the area.

This is the best pain au chocolat in the area. Whoever calls is chocolate crossant does not know French pastry LoL. Sorry, I am peculiar about my pastries. My favorite is the peach tart. No fluff, good fruit flavor and pastry cream. Simple. The fruits tarts have a layer of almond paste that I don't care for, make things heavier and doesn't bring anything IMHO. They have an original and interesting selection of hot drinks as well.

This place is my go-to for baked goods. It's right by the police station and Pitstop Diner (with plenty of parking, bless), and it's become our go-to for weekend breakfast. The crepes are so good, and I'm obsessed with the matcha almond croissants. They also sell whole cakes that are seriously beautiful. It always smells amazing when you walk in.. just super cozy and welcoming. We love it here.

All around amazing food and service. Typically a weekend staple in my household. Saturday mornings start with something from Oside Bakery.

The hours are great, the space is clean and inviting, and the matcha was okay. One thing I found a little odd: they bring your food to the table, but not your drink. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. I came here twice in a row because I couldn't stop thinking about the lemon basil burrata toast. The first time was incredible which loaded with toppings and full of flavor. The second time looked noticeably lighter on the burrata and basil. Maybe it was an off day, because I know how good it can be. Overall, I'd still come back. The matcha was good enough, the toast was good enough to bring me back immediately, and despite the slightly curated "everyone here is working on a startup" vibe, the food was worth the visit.

From the moment we arrived, Sierra greeted us with her kindness and attentiveness. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely present, checking in at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. It was clear she truly cared about creating a positive experience, and that level of attentiveness made a big difference. Bryce was equally impressive in his approach. What shined was his care and attention to detail, especially when it came to accommodating my allergies. He made a point to ask questions before taking action, ensuring that everything was handled safely and thoughtfully. I appreciated how realistic and transparent he was about what could and couldn't be modified, which helped build trust and made me feel more at ease navigating the menu. His professionalism and awareness were evident throughout. Drea also made a strong impression with her calm and reassuring presence. She approached everything with a sense of patience and understanding, and I felt genuinely understood and validated in my requests and concerns. Her demeanor helped create a relaxed environment, which is especially meaningful when dealing with dietary needs. She balanced efficiency with empathy in a way that felt very natural. As for the food and drinks, my friend really enjoyed the Buccaneer smoothie and even went back for a second cup of drip coffee, which they said was smooth and satisfying. I had an avocado, egg, and tortilla burrito, and I especially liked the house brown sugar coffee, which had a rich, slightly sweet flavor that came through as a highlight for me. Overall, while navigating modifications can sometimes be challenging, the staff made the experience feel manageable and supportive. Their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to accommodate made a lasting impression, and it's clear that the team truly values customer care. I appreciated the window so we could order outside, sit outside, be right by the ocean and have access to restrooms.

Our servers name was Monse I believe and she was excellent. We had mimosas, an americano, lobster thermidor with cheese grits, and the steak and eggs. The steak was overcooked so it wasn't doing it for me. Overall I'd say the food is pretty good for being a hotel restaurant I would dine again. The avocado toast was burnt, potatoes were flavorless and unevenly cooked, and the "poached" eggs were hard in the middle.
