My daughter went and her friends, saw mold on a few pieces of fruit that were in the closed displays where you independently choose and get your item. Not a fan of the public reaching in and choosing reaching over and possibly touching other items. They were out of trays and had a huge stack of dirty trays but no clean ones. Ppl had to put there item on a napkin. They pointed it out to me and yup it was moldy fruit on three different pastries. Was gross. No trays so we left. Even with a coupon it wasn't worth waiting for trays, since they were stacked in the dirty area and no one was attending to them, it didn't seem anytime soon. The staff is really welcoming and kind to customers so it's an extremely pleasant experience overall. It can get quite busy at this location so don't expect seating unless you go early in the morning or late afternoon. I recently had their almond raspberry croissant and my husband their creme and strawberry filled croissant. Both croissant were perfectly buttery, fluffy, and flaky. We decided to order the Blueberry Chiffon cake for my wife's birthday in December. It was a bit disappointing that they refused to accommodate for birthday decorations when I inquired ahead of placing the order stating that the only option was the holiday decorations. I have been here multiple times and the Croissants are always over-baked and dry. The other pastries are hit and miss. When you can get one that is not over-baked then they are great, but most of them are over baked. One time I sent a croissant back and spoke to the manager about it , but that was over a year ago and they are still over-baking them. You can collect pastry and desert items without an attendant, while certain refrigerated cakes and pastries are given to you upon check out. Same concept as 85 Degrees. I ordered a slice of chocolate strawberry cake, a fruit tart, and a caramel macchiato. All tasted delicious. Almond milk and oat milk are alternatives to cow's milk if you are lactose intolerant. The shop has interesting latte flavors that I will have to try next time. The cake I ordered was fresh and light with a whipped cream frosting. The coffee was also delicious and not overwhelming sweet. Overall I will definitely return. Only cons were limited indoor seating on a busy and cold day, with tables and chairs very closely situated next to one another. There are some tables and chairs outside.
