These ooey gooey cookies are SO GOOD! They have about 5 classic cookies which are always offered, and special weekly cookies which change every week. The stuffed cookie concept is real! The chocolate chip is a staple, so good - but warm it up and it gets even better!!! We also tried the strawberry shortcake, PB s'more and the reverse. We tasted more PB than we did in the s'more cookie, so it didn't entirely hit the spot, but the others did. Dirty Dough is now opened in Oceanside and I feel they are a great addition to the dining scene. Dirty Dough is a cookie chain that is quite popular in SoCal. I originally visited their location in Poway and I was impressed; it gave me a good experience to compare to our location in Oceanside, off of Rancho Del Oro Dr. Dirty Dough - Oceanside is located in a new plaza that was built on the hill, just off the intersection with the traffic light of Oceanside Blvd & Rancho Del Oro Dr. This plaza is marked by the HABIT Burger that can be seen clearly by the road. Their establishment is small, with little-to-no seating and this is consistent with my experience in Poway. While there is a bench inside, they are geared more for order-to-go & not "dining-in". There is some seating outside and with umbrellas, can make for a nice experience. I like that they have an app and order online option, so you can order to-go and avoid lines. Unlike their direct competitor, CRUMBL cookies, Dirty Dough specializes in stuffed cookies. Which means, not only are their specialty flavors covered on the outside or on top of the cookie, but also within the cookie itself. This adds to the experience with every bite and also allows for that "gooey" texture, as the filling leaks out with every chew. I have had the experience of having cookies that weren't cooked all-the-way-through at Crumbl. While, Dirty Dough cookies are super-soft & moist, the ones I've tried were cooked thoroughly. I'd also like to add that, while the cookies ARE sweet, they are not OVERLY sweet that I NEEDED to have milk or some beverage to wash the flavor down. This is not to say that they aren't sweeter than your average bakery cookie (they are). But in comparison to Crumbl, these cookies I could enjoy without "sugar-shock". One thing to note is that they have weekly alternating cookie flavor specials. So, it's great to check with their app to see what's available beforehand. But they will also have a few staple flavors that remain consistent on the menu. Dirty Dough also has dirty drinks, dirty milkshakes, dirty coffee, and dirty icecream; with "dirty" in reference to the immersion of cookies within their recipes. Overall, I love what Dirty Dough - Oceanside is bringing to the dining scene and I deeply appreciate that they are locally-owned as well. read more

Myself and my wife have been going here since they first opened since we live near by. First impressions were amazing and we've have been going regularly at least once a week! Until recently, the last two times we have gone here has been negative, we have found if you wanna go and enjoy your time then go before 3-5 pm. Reasoning is that's usually when the teens take over and if you go on a Saturday night after 7pm then you're walking straight into a high school cafeteria hangout. For once walking up you have a child calling for more friends to come over, once you walk in there is 5-6 young teens just lounging around, with no greeting on who is even the worker to order from. Don't order the waffle bites because you will receive a scuff from a young teen. Then standby and listen to the drama of high school and free use of words. As well dirty dough owners watch out for the pizza boy employees, they are receiving some free stuff due to intimidation. Was able to watch this encounter with the pizza boys a few weeks ago when their free root-beer floats had too much foam. In moral to all of this and never before writing a review, good luck duty dough and I hope you guys are successful and things turn around. And for those questioning if they should try please due because they are good but if you go and walk in to degrassi episode, just order and stand outside or wait in the car! Employees were great and helpful, this review is nothing on them! Place was nice and clean and kept up too. Stopped in and tried the regular chocolate chip, the maple bacon brown sugar and the Oreo cookie. The chocolate chip had almost no flavor, including the chocolate. It was greasy I'm assuming from too much fat (butter/oil) and you could feel the sugar granules in your mouth. That was about it. The maple one was the best of the three - just a very basic oatmeal cookie. Not a whole lot of flavor. The inside had a buttercream I believe that was intensely sweet so I avoided the middle all together. Seems weird to me that it's stuffed cookies with more chances to put flavor but there is frosting stuffed inside and on the top of this cookie with those little chewy bacon bits and the cookie itself lacks. Lastly the Oreo was alright, not a lot of flavor. Not sure I could describe the flavor other than bland and again greasy. The inside was again extremely sweet with a cream or something. The Oreo on top was also stale. Overall, these could give crumbl a run for their money but they aren't great or anything to write home about. I'd say mid at best. read more
