Little Fox manages to capture a nostalgic feel while offering exciting new flavors. The space is cute, comfortable, and photogenic. The sweet woman behind the counter let me try several flavors before I landed on one. It was so hard to choose! I went with their s'mores flavor they currently have, and my girlfriend picked RBF. She says the RBF tastes exactly like a root beer float and was happy with it. My s'mores was satisfying. Perfect amount of chocolate for me. Parking is tough in this area, so give yourself time and be ready to walk a bit!
We went late night, a line that moved fairly quick. For a kid growing up eat choc tacos this was a must for me to try & it did not disappoint. My daughter got the same thing (things taco) I lived that we could buy just the ice cream in pints of wanted. We did do some testers before deciding on the taco and they were good. They had a sink for me this sealed the deal washed hands before enjoying a seeet treat & clean up after. They had little items to purchase & free stickers. It was an all around yes yes yes. Shall we be back for another vacation we will bring the rest of our family!
The most adorable local boutique ice cream shop! If you think that Salt & Straw is inventive, Little Fox takes it up a notch. They truly have some of the most inventive flavors I've ever seen AND they're all super delicious! Their branding is too cute and I love all of the intentional touches. They even have a small sink in the corner of the shop because with ice cream comes sticky hands. Such a darling shop! We went for Berrily Good which is their elevated take on a classic strawberry. It features ecology center strawberry cream, elderflower liqueur, and elderflower strawberry swirl. Super yums! Their ice cream has a slightly stretchy and chewy texture which I love. Also, they're really intentional about each scoop. They have an array of toppings and make sure to dress up each one. I'll definitely be back!
I am vegan, so this review regarding the ice cream itself is only for the vegan ice creams. I am glad they have vegan options, but unlike Salt & Straw and Stella Jean that also offer vegan ice cream flavors alongside the dairy ones, I'm not eager to come back to Little Fox. The flavors sounded so cool and I tried all four vegan options (S'mores, Three Strikes, Lavender Haze, and Vanilla Cake), the peanut buttery bite I had of Three Strikes had me excited so I got that flavor, but the soggy bits of kettle corn in my actual scoop weren't enjoyable. If I were to choose again, I would've gotten the Lavender Haze. The service was fantastic. The line was way out the door yet each time a staff greeted a new customer, it was with a bright welcoming smile and invite to sample flavors or get their scoops going. The inside is cute & I love the plants. They have a little sink, I'm guessing for sticky fingers to wash up after finishing their scoops! With only one doorway to enter/exit, it was cramped when people left after paying for their dessert. If someone was in a wheelchair, a lot of movement of the people in line would've had to happen for them to use the ramp walkway and get through the door. Street parking was easy! If I go back with others, I'd consider trying a new flavor if one comes, but for now, I have no desire to go back.
5/5 must try. I loved the London fog specifically - just an amazing blend of vanilla, cake, and earl grey. In a city with so much great ice cream, it's hard to compete - rest assured Little Fox is among the best. The options are so unique and not overdone. I would be happy eating a scoop of most flavors here.
Wow just wow. Quality ice cream, amazing service, adorable ambiance. I would highly recommend the tomato apricot Family Heirloom ice cream. One of the most unique flavors I've ever tried. The passion fruit based one I got was also delicious, I forgot what its name is. There was a long line out the door but the staff did so great serving everyone, being so patient while everyone tried multiple flavors. 10/10 would come again!

Some of the flavors sounded a little unexpected at first, but every one we tried was delicious and thoughtfully crafted. You can tell they put a lot of care into creating flavors that are both fun and memorable. My personal favorite was the Banana Pancake flavor. It perfectly captured the comforting taste of a warm stack of pancakes and bananas, with just the right balance of sweetness. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly flavored like chocolate chip banana pancakes. My boyfriend had the Three Strikes flavor, which is a creamy peanut butter with peanut brittle, it was also delicious. We tried both flavors together and they both went really well together. The shop itself has a welcoming atmosphere, and the rotating selection of flavors makes it a place you'll want to visit more than once. If you're in Oceanside and looking for something beyond the typical ice cream shop, Little Fox is definitely worth stopping by. Whether you're feeling adventurous or just want a great scoop of ice cream, you're likely to find a flavor you'll love.
This place is so yummy and they have a descent amount of vegan options. I believe they have four and they were all delicious. On Mother's Day, they gave away a mini bouquet of flowers and a pint of ice cream. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the first ten that also got a nice glass jar to store goodies in. I did see some people walk about with just the freebies and that was kind of annoying to see. I think they should have at least purchased something. They should have restricted the freebies to customers only. I ended up gifting the free non-vegan option to my mother (she loved it) and my hubby bought me a vegan pint for myself. Inside there is no seating but they have 2 benches outside. While there is a small parking lot in the back, the parking lot gets full quickly and street parking can be tricky. Their ice cream is really tasty and they even decorate your ice cream with extra toppings like sprinkles and vegan marshmallows. This is one of our new favorite ice cream shops!
I was so excited to come here when I saw that they offer vegan ice cream tacos! I've been wanting to try one of these for a long time and this is one of the only places I've ever seen with a vegan option. I got the plant based s'more the merrier taco, which was so good! I love that they even have vegan marshmallows for it. They also had several vegan ice cream flavors for scooping, and everything was very clearly labelled. The service was super friendly and I picked up a free sticker too.

The owner was really kind and offered samples. One thing I appreciate is you sample with an actual spoon. It wasn't plastic or wooden, it was a gold spoon. I felt fancy. The little scoop was enough for me. I don't eat ice cream much so I liked the ability to enjoy without being wasteful. At first glance, pricing seemed high. However, quality ingredients plus the beauty of the shop makes it all make sense. Parking is a hassle. There's a small lot or street parking. You may need to drive around a bit. The parlor has a pizza place neighbor and more food across the street. I wish you could make your own taco! That would be amazing. I definitely think everyone should try it out.

Spring Fling is one of their seasonal flavors of matcha and lime. It was an enjoyable combo and not too overwhelming in lime flavor. Things+Stuff contains pretzel cream and peanut butter. The scoop itself contained a decent amount of mix ins. There are so many interesting flavors to try with locally sourced ingredients. I hope to stop by again!

It's a small shop with a ton of unique flavors. My recent visit here was due to meeting a friend who really wanted to try Tanners and specifically also requested Little Fox. This was great because they are so close. I got the RBF which is a root beer flavored concoction. It was good. Not too overpowering and between the cream and the root beer flavors it was so well balanced. My friend got the diet riot since she is a big chocolate fan. She absolutely loved hers. There really isn't an area to sit and eat your ice cream except for one bench outside so keep that in mind. Most people just stand out front on the sidewalk and enjoy. Definitely stop by for their unique flavors if you are in the area.

We visited Little Fox Cups & Cones around 6 pm on a Sunday and it was a little busy. They let you sample flavors before ordering, so some of the wait comes from everyone trying to decide between all the creative options. There's a small parking lot nearby, but street parking farther down is another option if it fills up. There were so many flavors we wanted to try that we ended up getting the flight. I love how creative and unique their selection is, with combinations I haven't really seen at other ice cream shops. Surprisingly, the London Fog was the most memorable for me. I've had similar flavors elsewhere, but Little Fox does it better than the versions I've tried before. The tea flavor was really prominent while the ice cream itself still tasted light and delicious. The scoops are a little pricey, but I think the quality is there. I love coming back and seeing what new flavors they have, and there's always something interesting to try. read more

If you go to Tamner's and decide you're too full for ice cream, you're not. You HAVE to stop at Little Fox for a sweet treat. You will not regret it! It looks like there is parking in the back but we were parked in the street for Tanner's. There's a lot of street parking available. This place is located next to Corner Pizza. The shop is super cute. There are lots of unique flavors. The lady there greeted us right away. When I told her it was our first time, she offered for us to try every flavor!! She even recommended a couple of their most popular flavors. Let me just get to the good part. The ice cream. Just WOW! I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur so when I say this is THE BEST chocolate flavor I've ever had...it really is. I got a medium cup and split it between their smores and their so dough-p flavors. OMG!! Just the perfect balance of sweet and rich yumminess! The lady mentioned that they sometimes rotate flavors. I hope they keep these two. I definitely will be back when I am in the area again. Do NOT miss this Oceanside treasure! read more

My daughter and I strolled over to Little Fox for some ice cream while we aired for our Tanners burgers and wow, we were happy we did! I had the Banana Pancake ice cream and it may be the best ice cream I've had in my life. The place is cute and the people very helpful and the flavors or inspired and elevated without being ridiculous. Also, my daughter had the Lavender Haze and it was amazing, as well! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more
The best way to end a night in Oceanside is definitely at Little Fox. The variety of ice creams (with many Gluten free options) and their willingness to help you sample until you find the right one is unmatched. Bonus points for using silverware for sampling instead of disposable single use plastics. That's my biggest gripe with other places, and Little Fox earns so many points for doing that. Their cones are high quality and help up while we enjoyed them. Parking is in a bit of a tight area as they're next to Tanners and Home State, but it's certainly worth it. Make sure your next craving for a sweet treat is fulfilled here. You will not regret it. read more

I've ended up here several times after dinner in the area. Ice cream always sounds like good after dinner treat, but I'm honestly disappointed every time. The flavors are kind of good on the sample spoon, but after a few bites, the ice cream always ends up underwhelming and icy. I get it, it's ice cream, but I guess I prefer more creamy over icy. Note that they don't have any tables, just three sticky benches outside. read more

There's almost always a wait outside of this place but it's for good reason! The flavors are very unique and I am always able to find something I love. I usually love to get the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood flavor but I branched out and tried the new Mexican Chocolate flavor and it didn't disappoint! The chocolate flavor was rich and creamy and had a good level of sweetness (not too sweet). The churros were nice flavor wise but I didn't love the texture. It didn't ruin the ice cream though. I do wish this place had seating but the location doesn't quite allow for that (not their fault)! read more
This little ice cream shop has such great attention to details. The moment you walk in you're welcomed with a nice fragrant aroma. Inside there is great quality. Everything by from the product of the ice cream itself to their orange high quality napkins to even their golden sample spoons. The ice cream itself is creamy and has a velvety smooth texture but the little toppings that get folded into the ice cream give that nice texture. Their flavors are unique enough to entice you to make a stop at this shop in Oceanside. They even go wild and think out of the box with flavors that present themselves as savory but for some odd reason they're able to create into an ice cream flavor. Example? Poco Pomodoro- organic basil cream, graza olive oil, golden tomato marmalade I appreciate when an ice cream shop tries to push the envelope and get creative with flavors. And even the cute little toppers the put on their ice cream is a nice touch from the little lavender sprig to the mint leaf depending on what flavors you get. We live in OC. Every time I drive down to SD I try to stop by here to get a little treat of little fox. read more

Such a cute craft ice cream shop in South Oceanside. I have been here a few times and love it. The flavor profiles of the ice creams are unique and inventive while also paying homage to classics. The ice cream is house made and pasteurized. They have gluten free options too. You can choose between a cone, a cup or even some flavors are available in their adorable ice cream tacos! My first time there, I got "things & stuff" flavor which is peanut butter pretzel-y flavor in a cone! So good! The taste is unmatched and the quality ingredients are evident. Second time around I chose the "let them eat cake" flavor which is a birthday cake flavor. I loved it. Portable, fun, and definitely delicious. It was a warm day and did not melt all over the place because the ice cream was insulated in the taco "cone". The shop is clean, cute, and bright. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the the flavors, ingredients and will help you if you have trouble deciding! Parking in this area can be a challenge, but at 3pm on a Monday, I found a spot. Definitely plan to walk a little bit if you come on the weekends, but that's part of the adventure! read more
Adorable shop with insanely good ice cream (vegan options too!) I first discovered Little Fox Ice Cream at the Del Mar Fest last year, and their flavors blew me away -- so much that I had to visit their actual store. And I'm so glad I did! The ice cream is just as amazing as I remembered -- rich, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. I was especially happy to see they offer vegan options, which is such a plus. The staff were super cheerful and welcoming, and the interior is absolutely adorable. It's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. We came here after eating at Tanner's. This ice cream shop is cute inside. They sell holiday cards, cute ice cream dish ware and other sweet novelty items and treats. The ice cream flavors are delicious and all original. Service is sweet just like the shop. We will be back! read more
Intersting flavor combinations but it works well with each other. They are of course priced higher than regular ice cream but, they are worth trying. Cute little shop, street parking and a few spaces right next on the lot. I had the banana pancake lil scoop which was good size for me, taste was so delicious. Friends had the smores and the cake batter one. All tasted good, friendly staff and quick to help customers. read more

$8 for a tiny lil scoop in a waffle cone. I will say really cool different flavors, and the waffle cone is delicious! A little sweeter than your average waffle cone. So happy to have walked by and gone in! It was an extremely hot day when my friend and I were walking about and I was extra happy to have walked in and found a cool treat. Once I was told about their vegan/gf options, I immediately was set on ordering. I was able to try a few other vegan/gf options like the let them eat cake and death before coffee. Honesty, I was impressed with them all, but I absolutely loved the death before coffee as it had a great subtle cold brew flavor and cookie crumbles with a soft, not too grainy, texture. Couldn't have wanted anything more as it was perfect. It's difficult to get the consistency of ice cream when made vegan but they clearly excelled. The server was so kind and welcoming too and offered my friend and I tastings and options throughout our time here. We went through the line incredibly fast too. I loved the relaxing ambiance of the store as well, definitely inviting. Some great seating options outside as well. They do have limited parking on the side but there are a few spots! read more
I was looking for a good ice cream shop with dairy-free/vegan options, and I am so glad I tried this place! The quality of their flavors really took me by surprise. Each are fun, creative, and elevated - just like their decor and vibe. I tried all four of their vegan options, and couldn't decide between two, so I indulged in a scoop of both. The "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" was fantastic. It's probably one of the best vegan ice creams I've had in recent memory. The corn cream is the perfect background of toasty creaminess that isn't heavy and pairs perfectly with the floral complexity of the honeycomb. I also enjoyed the "Let Them Eat Cake," which was an elevated rainbow sprinkle experience, none of that synthetic slap of cake to the face, but the right amount of vanilla sugar and crumble. Both flavors were simple yet sophisticated, and I applaud the execution. Will 1000% be coming back. Can't wait to see what they come up with next! read more
