I got a gift card to Nekter, and finally got a chance to try it out. In the Albertson's shopping center, plenty of parking, easy to find. Walked in, a few people enjoying their orders, and a few in line in front of me gave me time to look over the menu and decide. The person that took my order was cordial and made some suggestions about customizing my bowl, so that was good. I was interested in the bowls, and decided to try the Acai Banana Berry bowl. It reminded me of a bowl I tried at another spot. It was pretty good, definitely a good taste, great strawberries and bananas, and the sweet agave on top. Pretty big size as well. read more

This location is by far the BEST of all the Nekter Juice Bar's. The owner is AWESOME and is always here. Our orders are always consistent and customer service is great! What sets this location apart from the rest is the bang for the bucks and the customer service. Unlike the other Nekters around San Diego I have been to (La Jolla, Encinitas, and Carlsbad), when you order a fresh juice with ice, this location will give you a second cup with the remaining juice for the size you ordered. If you have a 32oz juice and the ice takes up 4oz, you will get the 4oz of juice in a second cup. They don't toss it out like other places. The customer service industry is deteriorating rapidly and you don't get that feeling when you come here. We are happy to call this our Spot! read more

I subbed bananas instead of pineapples and added cacao nibs. For both items (plus tip) it was almost $30. Totally not worth it!!!! The bowl was very watery and the smoothie did not taste that great. I had tried Nektor before at other locations around San Diego area. Now I got a chance to attend their grand opening, thanks to Alex and her husband Frazier to organize and open the new location in Oceanside, the first 25 people get to win free smoothie once for 13 weeks, but you have to download the app, and put your name down, still my Nektor app didn't show any smoothie for me to claim yet, I might have to call the store and check with them later. They had DJ to spin music and a prize wheels during their opening, a lot of people lined up early including me who came at 4:30 AM :) I got to try their Popeye Açaí banana blueberry and spinach were a perfect combination. They also sell snacks and wellness shots to go. It's a hot summer, and if you're near Oceanside, you should visit Nektor and cool off with a smoothie or an açaí bowl for your liking. read more
